I have been meaning to come here for a while, but I have not been able to pin down their exact hours. it was a beautiful breezy Saturday afternoon at the height of spring. My mood was to grab empanadas and sit on the hills of Sunset Park basking in the sunlight. I walked into the shop, which is very tiny and take out only. The ladies working at the counter were super friendly and accommodating, the empanadas were being made fresh and fried right in front of me. I opted for the beef and chicken empanada and asked to sample both of their sauces, they packed them really well in a bag for me and gave me napkins and I only paid $6 for two. An absolute steal If you ask me. The empanadas were fried perfectly, crispy, but not super doughy. The filling was perfect, the chicken filling was a little bit on the dry side, but nothing a little bit of sauce couldn't fix. I did like the beef filling because it wasn't super greasy and was seasoned right. Definitely check them out and I cannot wait to return and try the cheese empanada. Those are usually my favorite.
