Yum! Empanadas are bite-sized pies to me for the win! On the go? Get an empanada for a savory delight and treat! It's simple, comfort food and made with quality. They snazz it up with pineapple hot sauce or the choice of mild and/or light! Chicken was recommended to get, which was delicious and recommended rightfully well. Beef, pork and vegetarian, they have! Ayce spot!

Ran in to Empanada papa at Homecoming2021 In Brooklyn!!!! And that shit was good!!! The gentleman pictured at the bottom was so helpful !! Told me what was there most popular empanadas this was a outdoor event pretty sure they had more to offer at there Brooklyn location!!! I got the corn/cheese empanada and the pork empanada!!! Pork was on point .sauces were an additional 50 cents but my husband and I didn't really need it cause the empanadas were amazing by itself!!!!! GREAT PRODUCT!!!!!!! Ooo they were also offering yucka fries!!! Which looked golden and crispy!!!!

Located inside an Urbanspace food market. There was a pretty good variety of empanadas to choose from. My husband got the cheese empanada and loved it. The cheese filling had a unique flavor and made you want more. The texture of the shell was just right, not too hard and not too chewy. His only regret is that he already ate prior and was too full to eat more than one. I was barley able to snap a photo of him eating it because he did not want to stop.

I've had empanadas when they pop up at Coney Island brewery and I have to tell you they serve the best empanadas ever. Before you say "yeah right" let me explain. It isn't just that they're super delicious, fresh and paired with the most tastiest of sauces. It's an experience. Some places skimp on quality just to have quantity. But they don't. Each empanada looks and taste like it was made for you personally. All tastes so homemade you'd think you're eating in someone's home. The staff are always super friendly. Gives that warm, taken care of feeling. I've tried the beef and gundilla, esquites, and others! I can't wait to try the churro, buffalo chicken or cheese. I hear they also do private ordering/catering really considering ordering some for my next get together. Check out their instagram to see where they will be next @empanadapapanyc

We've been pretty loyal customers to Empanada Mama for quite some time, but we were absolutely blown away by the empanadas here.

Although it's not the traditional Taiwanese version I'm used to (with cabbage and carrots), I really like the lady's variation! (She uses shredded pickled daikon and carrots). I also ask for all the sauces and it's not too spicy either! I've only spoken Mandarin each time I ordered from her, I'm not sure if she speaks English or not. However, if you're a none Mandarin speaker, definitely speak up or grab her attention somehow to order since it can get chaotic sometimes if she's busy and she doesn't always remember who was first in line. She's very friendly!! I have gotten her stinky tofu at least five times since moving to Brooklyn and I've never gotten sick from it. Don't be intimidated by the street carts!

OVERVIEW: In many countries, it's not unusual for locals…read moreto eat two, or even three meals at street food stalls. This is not surprising, as many of these vendors can offer a hot, and delicious meal quickly, and for a relatively reasonable price. So, if you happen to be near Brooklyn Chinatown's famous 8th Ave, come visit Lotus Sister Food Cart. You'll experience the unique charm and feel of an authentic street food cart. And, at the same time, grab a quick tasty snack, or even a meal for a few people. For close to a decade it's been located on the corner of 57th Street and 8th Ave. And by chance, it's diagonally across 8th Ave from "Tofu Stall", another very interesting street vendor to visit. Keep in mind, that what's primarily being served here are quick eats, such as skewers, fried chicken, noodles, and dumplings. But this doesn't take away from the fact that the food here is delicious, and crazy fun to order and eat. WHAT TO ORDER: - The cheung fun rice noodle rolls are standard, but very good, and can be topped with fish balls, or curry fish balls. Of course peanut sauce and hot sauce can be added. - All the skewers are good, especially the chicken, chicken wing, fish tofu, fish balls, and others. - Their famous fried chicken legs are one of the best items, and are really crispy, with a hint of five spice flavor. Absolutely delicious. - The lo mien and rice noodles are tasty, but even better when topped with some of the skewers, or maybe some hot sauce. - The stinky tofu is a mild version, which is good to order if you like it, or if your trying it for the first time. - The dumplings are pork and chive, and are tasty, even though they are deep fried. - Plain cheung fun noodles, fried tofu puffs and other items are available in bulk, to take home and use in your own cooking. SERVICE: I really like the Auntie that runs this cart. She is friendly, to the point, and keeps things moving quickly, so everyone receives their order in a timely manner. When you're ordering, she always offers something additional for you to try, that she feels you will enjoy. She speaks Chinese and English, and is also happy to take your order by the point at the food or menu method if necessary. PARTING THOUGHTS: If I'm close to 8th Ave, hungry, and I don't feel like ordering from a restaurant, I can't pass up this auntie's food cart. Hell, just the smelll of her frying her famous chicken legs, is enough to catch your attention from almost a block away. So go visit her, and grab some chicken legs or cheung fun, and, what ever other tasty treats she convinces you to order. You'll be happy afterwards, I promise.

It has the usual stuff you will see at most Chinese carts, for example, lo mein. chicken wings, fish balls, but Linda's also makes dishes you don't usually see at other carts like lobster balls, scallops, stuff eggplant, and STINKY Tofu. That's right STINKY Tofu. I order a Curry Fish Ball on stick, Small Lo Mein, and a Stinky Tofu. Linda asked if I wanted my Curry Fish Ball with the Lo Mein, so I said yes. She gave two to eat on stick while she made my other orders. The Curry Fish Balls were so good, soft, and good amount of heat. The other five fish balls went with my Lo Mein. The Lo Mein is really good. Not overly greasy. Plenty of Lo Mein for a small order and very filling. I decided to be a little adventurous and got the Stinky Tofu. Yes, the name speaks for itself. STINKY!!! SMELLY!!! Hold your noise. I do not see why my people in China love eating this stuff. It tastes like nothing even with some sauce. Yes, I ate all of it. Just make sure to have some mints on the side. I have had many other dishes from Linda's and they are all pretty good, just don't get the Stinky Tofu. You have been warned.
