The plantains are surprisingly tasty!! The food is take out so you may wait a few minutes for your order but it is worth it! My family and I ate there today and we are impressed with the food and service. I grew up visiting relatives in Colombia and that first bite of the empanada brought memories of the food in Colombia. The owner went out of his way to make us comfortable and explain some of the options. We will definitely be coming back next time we're in Valdosta. read more

Alberto is awesome. He walked me through the menu and I ended up with the beef empanada and the Cuban sandwich. I was not disappointed. The flavors of both were wonderful. For the empanada I added the green hot sauce which was a nice complement and not overwhelming. The restaurant has a small sign so make sure you don't drive by it. Waze got us there perfectly. If there is one drawback is that it is takeout only, but Alberto was awesome and let us sit at a little table on the side as we were driving by. Next time in Valdosta I will definitely stop here. I am a meat cheese and bread eater and I could eat empanadas from here every day without getting tired of them.. The medium salsa has just the right amount of kick for people who don't like a lot of heat. The hot looks very similar but brings the heat for people who like a little burn. The white rice and juice from the stewed pork chops tastes like rice and tomatoes with latin flavor. It was so good I attempted to make them at home for the family. The restaurant was clean, the service was quick and pleasant. The only thing I had an issue with was the fried Yuka was very dry. The chicken and cheese empanadas had very little cheese in them and the chicken was super dry. I have made empanadas before and I was very surprised that these were like that. I hope in the future they can keep the meat with some juice in it, and maybe fry the yuka to order so they are not dry. read more

I found this company through Yelp since there isn't a lot of good, inexpensive food options in Valdosta. The restaurant has been doing carry out only for the last two years so you won't be able to dine in. They were out of the Colombian empanada so I got Beef & Cheese and Chicken & Cheese. I also got the Sweet Arepa with friend plantains on the side. ($14.04 in total) The staff was super nice and it was about a ten minute wait. Everything was made to perfection. I will definitely be back to try the different items on the menu. 10/10, I highly recommend trying this restaurant at least once. read more

My husband and I were in town from Tallahassee and were super excited about trying this highly rated empanadas and more treat... however, we didn't get to the restaurant until one minute before it was closing and thought they would not be willing to serve us.
