If you like empeñadas then this is the place to be. They have a large variety of fillings like ham & cheese, chicken pesto & mozz, and much more. They also have three or four different types of crust. Corn, Maize or Flour are the choices they had last time. It's really cheap too! Best empanadas ever. Been going here since I was a 13. I'm a big fan of the ham and cheese, potato and sausage and sweet plantains and make sure to get the green sauce. It' amazing. Also it's a good idea to call ahead and place your order because trying to find parking is insane unless you don't mind double parking for 10 to 15 mins. Yes. This place is great. I found it here on Yelp and ran over to try the Nutella and Banana, Chicken, and Mixed Vegetable Empenadas. Delicious and made fresh. This little gem in Corona knows exactly what it's doing, and I can't wait to go back and try the beef and cheese, cheese and jalepeno, egg bacon ham and cheese, sweet plaintain and cheese, and spinach and ricotta empenadas. Banana Nutella Chocolate Empanadas taste as good as it sounds at Empanadas Cafe in Corona, but seating is very limited so take a box to go.

These are the best Colombian empanadas in New York, hands down. The reason it takes ten minutes for your order to come out is that everything is done fresh here. Everybody knows the spinach & ricotta empanadas are killer. The white flour empanadas are really good, I don't care for corn empanadas, but a lot of people like them. For dessert, the frozen confections are also made in-house, the rice pudding ice cream stick and the peanut butter are standouts, but all the tropical flavors are good too. read more

Came here yesterday with my grandma & I was surprised when she didn't know about this place considering she loves empanadas. We ordered the maduro con morzzarella (plantain with cheese) and they were amazing & the green sauce completes the empanadas my grandma ordered a chorizo empanada with the organic flour and she fell in love... came here just for a couple of empanadas because i didn't want a full meal, and it was a great decision! seating is limited to about 8 customers but people are in and out ordering by the bunches. saw someone walk out with a party platter also and it looked amazing. everything operates smoothly here with great taste and quick service, most importantly doesn't leave a dent in your bank account. will go back for sure! i'd remove like a fraction of the 5th star for CASH ONLY, but we will all live. read more

The empanadas were great. There are no complaints of the food, and in fact they are very tasty which is why we frequent the establishment. What is not great is the service. The service is inconsistent, at times unreliable, and the staff are unprofessional and underprepared. Walk-in takeout requests sometimes result in incorrect orders, and the catered orders have been hours late or staff did not follow directions (vegetarian were not separated from meat, as requested). The food is delicious and they should keep trying to get their staff up to speed with customer service and professionalism, but unfortunately this last mistake was enough discontinue catering from this restaurant again. read more

Amazing empanadas! You can get flour, corn or organic flour empanadas, with tons of fillings. Everything is delicious. The restaurant is TINY, two tables with about 7 seats total. A lot of the business is take out. Prices are excellent, about $1.50 an empanada. They also have a large selection of South American style popsicles. read more

I have eaten empanadas before but once I came here a few months ago I have not been able to eat empanadas from another place. It doesn't help that my friend J. enables me by suggesting we come back almost every week. It takes a while for the empanadas to be made but they are so worth it. the cheese and ingredients are fresh, which is what makes the empanadas taste soo good. It is a small location with a few tables which are usually full but the fact that I have always seen people occupying the place till closing makes sense because these are definitely the best empanadas I have had. read more

I absolutely LOVE this place. THE best empanadas I've had in New York. They have empanadas with different fillings. Though you may have to wait until your order is ready, the wait is worth it. They even sell frozen Empanadas for you to make at home. When I lived in the area, for Halloween I remember they included a complimentary empanada with chocolate filling .... How thoughtful of them.
