    Plain bagel

Was in the area again, not sure when the bagel was made. Very tough did and did not seem fresh. Very limited on bagel selection at 8:30 am. People at the counter do not act like they want to be there. She took my order with my name, when she came back she also called out my name looking around. There were 2 people including me in the place and she just took my order. Not sure at this time if I will even stop in again.

I was so happy when I heard we were getting a bagel spot in North Port. Especially one as recommended as Empire Bagel. I had heard nothing but amazing things about their Punta Gorda location. I drove by last weekend and saw they weren't open yet. I was so excited to hear they were opening this past week. I already had plans to go today. I had heard that people were waiting in line all week long to get in. I left to arrive right at opening at 8 a.m. Once I arrived there at one minute to 8 a.m., they were already opened with a line inside to across the parking lot outside. I said to myself this has to be good bagels. It actually didn't take too long to make it inside to the counter and I was out by 8:20. For all those in line behind me, sorry I left just one plain bagel. I heard they were making more. I got home and the bagels were still warm. The inside soft, the shell crispy. Oh my gosh. This makes up for all the bad bagels I've had since moving to Florida. Prices are reasonable. The interior has small tables perfect for those weekend breakfast dates. I highly recommend waiting in line and trying this spot out. Especially if you are a Northern bagel snob like myself. Or try out their Punta Gorda location so they don't run out of bagels for us Northern North Port / Port Charlotte people.

Long wait time for spendy, flat, lifeless bagels in a dingy little cafe. Disappointed, for sure.

Cute little spot! Stopped in our way home. Coffee is good and the dessert s'mores bagel on the French toast bagel was delicious!

This is a full-service, sit-down coffee shop. It's not just a drive-through like so many places these days. A comfortable spot to relax indoors with air conditioning, or you can choose outdoor seating at tables with umbrellas if you'd rather enjoy your coffee alfresco. Since it was a warm day, I ordered an iced coffee. The barista was friendly and prepared my medium roast with care. It was flavorful, refreshingly cold, and perfectly balanced once I added some cream and sugar for a touch of richness. I thoroughly enjoyed my drink, and I'll definitely be back again.

We ended up…read moregetting a Fusion Fizz which was one of their handcrafted energy drink offerings served with coconut milk, a hot chai and a quiche. I found the energy drink to be a bit lackluster compared to its description, I think I wished it had a bit more flavor. The dragon fruit flavor seemed to be lost amongst the coconut milk. The chai, however, was full of spice and delicious. I really appreciated that they offered multiple milk options including dairy free/vegan. The star was definitely the quiche though which we got heated up, the crust was flaky and buttery while the egg was well seasoned with tomatoes and mozzarella sprinkled throughout. The baristas were really kind and were patient as we perused the menu. I found the drinks to be a bit on the pricier side, especially for modifications. I don't think this would be my everyday coffee shop but definitely plan to stop by as a treat for some more of their baked goods when I am in town.
