Quick order by number restaurant. Delivery is speedy. Don't expect anything fancy. Just your typical take out Chinese spot. Ever since Asian gourmet switched owners and heard the food went down hill we've been ordering from here . Always get the order right always all extra sauces I ask for. Really good chicken and broccoli and the dumpling sauce is really good too!! Lo mein is also a favorite from here. Pick up and delivery is quick. Only once have I had to wait 45 minutes but they sounded do busy on the phone. I usually wait 15-20 for the food from hang up on the phone to my door. Never cold always hot. They do have snapple cans of soda and sometimes get a free big bottle of soda with a larger order.

As good of Chinese food as there is. It's good, consistent, fairly priced, and fast. Best Chinese food in the area for sure.

Only the finest restaurants truly know how to make Old Fashions and no one else makes a better one than the Sea Fire Grill. I love fried, crisp calamari and theirs was particularly good. My friend had colossal shrimp and loved it. I sampled one, and I concur with him. We each had the lobster bisque soup which was superb. The best I have ever had. I had the New York Sirloin which was mouthwatering It was so good that after each bite, I just sat back in my chair and savored it as I slowly chewed. For sides, I had the fingerling potatoes and shared the broccoli rabe. My friend had the roasted Mediterranean branzino, that he went crazy over. We topped everything off with a delicious chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream. The does not even scratch the surface of what dining is like here. It is the ambiance, the beautiful, relaxing view of the Hudson River and the New York and New Jersey shorelines. It is the knowledge each worker has about the food and drinks served. Inside, the restaurant's decor...well, you will not find it better anywhere else. I cannot wait to return in the fall when the setting sun turns the Hudson orange. Excellent restaurant and staff.

Beautiful room, beautiful views, and a kitchen that can't back either up…read more We arrived to a mostly empty dining room with gorgeous Hudson River views. After being offered a table in the center of the empty room, we asked for a window table and were seated at a four-top. Then the disorganization started: we were asked about water preference, handed a drink menu, and left for a good five minutes with no food menus while several waiters stood idle nearby. When our waiter arrived, he seemed surprised our reservation was for two, cleared the extra settings, and brought menus -- one of which was missing the appetizer page entirely. The food was hit-or-miss, mostly miss. The bright spots: an excellent mocktail, very good jumbo shrimp cocktail (nice touch serving remoulade, mignonette, and caper berries), and broccoli rabe that was legitimately the best thing on the table -- perfectly cooked, garlic and red pepper spot on. Now the rest. The Kumamoto oysters weren't served as cold as they should be, and one was fishy. My girlfriend's cocktail was mediocre. Her halibut had a mealy texture, and the gnocchi and fava beans alongside it were underseasoned. My $165 tomahawk arrived visibly overcooked -- enough that our waiter told the server to skip the usual tableside butter-basting to avoid cooking it further. I didn't send it back because my girlfriend's food was already down and I didn't want to eat alone twenty minutes later. Each slice had a half-inch gray band around the edge with only a narrow strip of medium-rare in the center. It carried an aged smell and flavor, but not the clean, nutty character of a properly dry- or wet-aged steak. For that price point, this cut should be the kitchen's signature. It wasn't close. The lobster mac was the low point: the lobster meat tasted fishy -- something I've rarely encountered anywhere -- and the dish had a dried-out crust suggesting it sat under a heat lamp before reaching us. Dessert, a lava cake, was genuinely delicious. Telling that the best course of the night was the one most likely not made in-house. Service throughout was disjointed: my empty drink was never addressed, and after dessert we sat roughly ten minutes before flagging someone down for the check. On the way out, I spoke with the two managers standing near the entrance -- making clear upfront that I wasn't seeking comps or special treatment, just giving honest feedback since I was unlikely to return. One manager simply stood and listened. The other, who introduced himself as "the boss," told me I should have spoken up during the meal, assured me they have a strong following with famous clientele, and disputed our initial wait time despite not having been in sight when it happened. Meanwhile, our waiter stood conspicuously within earshot listening to the conversation rather than tending his tables. Worth noting: we learned the same group runs Benjamin Steakhouse in Hartsdale, where I've had a similarly mediocre experience. The consistency across locations tells you this isn't an off night -- it's the standard. If you want to pay Manhattan steakhouse prices for inconsistent food and disorganized service -- with a great view -- this is your place. We won't be back.

I could have just come here for the AYCE sashimi alone! + Lots of other seafoods, Americanized Chinese food, legit Chinese food, ramen, fresh cut fruits, desserts, bubble tea drinks AND even hot pot to choose from. ++++ Quality and freshness of the food was as good as you could expect from such a buffet, however, most of it was pretty much what we expected. ---- Desserts were the lone disappointment for me in that they were your typical Asian buffet pastries, cakes that are overly sweet and just do not taste good at all. ++++ Highlights included cold seafood salads, fried shrimp, grilled salmon, abalone oysters, abalone, grilled lamb chops, snow crab legs and cajun crab legs to name a few. - Menu listed other items like razor clams, rib-eye steak, t-bone steak, oxtail, but they were nowhere to be found. WOMP. THE SERVICE ------------------- + Were seated very quickly after we arrived. = Good in that the employees cleaned up our dirty plates fast and refilled empty buffet foods quickly. Bad in that the attitude of the employees were pretty blah. THE SURROUNDINGS ------------------------------- + Spacious and VERY bright restaurant. Even during the evening you would still think it's daytime outside! + Lots of tables and seats that can accommodate parties of all sizes. + Buffet area was as clean as you can expect for a buffet. Typically, most buffets will be a sh*tshow with all of the irresponsible food-slinging, but it was relatively clean. + Buffet takes up half of the restaurant and the sushi section probably takes up 1/8 of the buffet alone. + Huge parking lot outside that is shared amongst the Crossroads Shopping Center businesses, including a BJ's. RANDOM OBSERVATIONS -------------------------------------- = Arrived at around 6 PM on a random August Sunday evening and it was pretty crowded inside, but there were still plenty of open tables and there was plenty of consistent turnover.

We were heading up to Croton-on-Hudson for a show and none of the restaurant options were looking appealing. We wanted something with a view of the water since it was the first truly Spring weather day we'd had this season. I saw that the rating for this place wasn't spectacular, but loved the photos and decided to read recent ratings, and we decided, even if the food is "meh" at least we'll be outside by the water. The Boathouse did not disappoint. The host who seated us was friendly and enthusiastic. Our server was everything you want in a server: Friendly, Confident in making suggestions, Attentive without being pushy or annoying, and just an honestly great man who was so fun to chat with. We both just had mains: Husband had the seafood gumbo. Wow! So packed with flavor, and yes, the spice hit you on the back end, but SO yummy. Packed with seafood and sausage, rice that wasn't gummy, and I am sorry Tom Colicchio, the okra was delicious! The "slime" that we all fear had more of a velvety texture that was not off-putting at all, and the flavor was really unique and enjoyable. i had the Shrimp Luciano. Five jumbo shrimp without a hint of vein or shell, sautéed in an egg batter that crisped at the edges. The sauce...omg....so flavorful. I find so often that chefs add too much of spice and herb but not here. It was well balanced and so yummy. If I wasn't in public, I would have licked the plate clean! Oh, and it came with green beans, one of my least favorite vegetables because again, I find so many just over cook and over season. This were lightly sautéed so they had a fresh from the garden taste and a perfect snap to them. Garlic mashed potatoes...made with red bliss...had a sweet element, not sugary, but there was a flavor were just couldn't identify....maybe a hit a nutmeg? Regardless, they were heavenly. Then we made the decision to share a slice of the crème brûlée cheesecake. We didn't have room, but our "neighbors" at the next table said we had to try it...so we did. WOW! This was not your typical heavy overly sweet cheesecake. It was light, had specks of vanilla, a very thin lovely crust and the taste....sooooooo good. The wine by the glass choices were great: $12 for a wonderful glass of Albariño?? It was so crips and light and perfect with my meal. Husband had an IPA...we think it was called Maine Lunch and it was also delightful. I will note: the tables are NOT on the dock. They are a ways back but the water view surrounds you. I saw some tables set up right by the dock edge near the water and apparently they have a bar and music there once it gets warm. If it wasn't a 2 hour in traffic drive, this would be our new regular haunt. For now, we will have to make excuses to go up this way!
