Our home is aprox. 20 years old and we had the original sliding glass door going to the back yard, by this time the rollers were so shot that the door was very difficult to move. also the handle & lock were shot as well. I am very pleasantly surprised! Very professional! Super fast response and I think very reasonable $ considering they have to drive to your home. It took two men to remove our 200 lb glass slider, they replaced the wheels underneath and then replaced the broken track with a much better, heavy duty one that will last for decades to come. Save your money. Go to ACE glass. Better quality with same or even better prices. I have purchased a sliding screen door from Empire Sliding Doors, I had asked for a mid grade quality door and recived a low grade one insted. Not only that, but its too wide. I didn't think it was a problem until I tryed to put a pet gard on it. Cant find one that fits. ACE is able to get me one but soon found out that I could have gotten a way better quality door with the pet gard on it for what I have paid at Empire. I have used Empire twice within the past year, I have also referred Empire to several people, but now im letting you all know that it is not worth it. Save your money. Shop around. And he forgot to bring along invoices, so I had to call and remind after he said he would send both email and mail copy. It works better now than it ever has. The stationary door had to be removed to get the slider out. Both were replaced and they cleaned the track and lubed the screen door.
