I make homemade dog food for my dogs and I can buy massive 40 lb boxes of boneless chicken breasts, frozen fish and frozen vegetables far less expensive than Sam's Club, Costco or a grocery store, unless they're having some huge sale. I cook for our community dinner once a month and you can get canned goods in quantity and quality. Many think you have to be a restaurant owner to shop here. You just need to be a business owner. I could have also gotten a membership through my church or Community Group. If you provide the 501C documents, you can shop tax free.

The store is large, well laid out and full of everything you could ever need. But the best thing about our visit, was the staff. They take customer service seriously. We were asked a few times while perusing by different associates if we needed help finding anything. They didn't give off the pushy "car salesman " vibe either. They genuinely wanted to help. When you go to check out, they will walk to you and take you to a register to get you checked out. But then... are you sitting down?... that same associate walks you out to your vehicle and loads everything in. I know, right!! Where else can you go and get service like that? Everyone was so friendly and smiling. We will definitely be back and will actually be looking forward to it.

Wide selection of Le Creuset, out of my price range but maybe someday. Some items that I haven't seen in places like Williams-Sonoma. Be careful, the store has a sign but it is subtle and very blue. It looks at first like you're walking up to someone's home but fear not behind the door is a cookware store.

The cooking place was pretty cool. There was flavored water to sip on while we waited for the class to start. The whole cooking experience was shared between 4 different people. The table is kind of small for us to work on especially with how many people attended the class. The kitchen had a tv to see what was going on but for some reason it wasn't facing the chef so it was pretty useless. The class has helpers to the chef which was very useful. There was someone to helped with cleaning dishes, someone to help us when we couldn't figure out what to do or if we had questions, and someone who helped create the prep of ingredients. Our teacher was nice but it felt like we rushed through cooking the dish. The important stuff was pre prepared which was kind of a bummer. Like the dough for the dumplings was kneaded already and the filling for the soup dumplings were premade. I was also kind of bummed to know that it's super hard to make the soup dumpling filling. We also made some stir-fry noodles and green beans. It was interesting to learn how green beans are prepared to be so crisp via blanching in oil.

Our chef made sure that we understood his instructions to prepare the meal. He emphasized the importance of "mise en place" which means having everything prepared in advance. Our meal was Seared Scallops with Champagne Beurre Blanc, Saffron-Scented Risotto with Peas and Prosciutto, and Chocolate Souffle with Salted Caramel Sauce. We started with making the Risotto. Each couple was matched with another couple and took turns with the preparation. There was a 10 minute break to give the class participants the time to walk around the shop. We finished the risotto and made the scallops. The souffle was the only portion of the meal that the students did not prepare. We enjoyed the experience and decided to take another class.

I love the quality of Le Creuset cooking items, so I stopped in to see what sales were available. There were a few tables with items for 60% off so I was able to pick up a few cool things for my kitchen. The items were perfectly wrapped as I dropped my bag and nothing broke. I wanted to pick up a few other pieces but since they are heavy I was debating. The staff volunteered to hold them for me while I shopped so I didn't have to carry it. This Labor Day weekend, we went up during a cloudy day and once again I found myself in Le Creuset. The staff were friendly and I noticed that they brought the Cassis collection back, which we last bought five years ago during our wedding. How could we not try to pick up a few more pieces. While looking at some stoneware, Ron, said that he would put it aside for me, since I was still thinking about it and there were only two left in the store. I thanked him, but said, I'll just get it. Picked up a few other small items too. While paying, I was mentioning how I was interested in a stainless steel skillet. I was told the deal was only good for one more day and I left to think about it. The price was really good and among the best I've seen... I mentioned it to my wife that I thought about buying it and she said "why didn't you?" Okay, I'll just go back. They grabbed the skillet from the back and again, I picked up a few more items. I sure got my workout in while carrying these bags, but the staff mentioned that they would hold the packages for me until we're finished. A nice offer, but I wouldn't feel like going back a third time...
