Horrible company! My mother gas new carpet pur in here living/dining room. Appointment was scheduled for a Friday between 8 am to 6 pm my mom called and they had to reschedule for the next day. She had moved all her things out of there on Thursday houser was a mess for 2 day was unable to get yo her stove to cook anything. They came the next day at 11 took them 3 hours. I want to leave this review as I was going to use this company to install flooring but, after what happened to my daughter I will forever spread the unprofessional service they did. My daughter spent Thousands of dollars to have floors installed just over 1 year ago...as of last month they noticed the flooring is coming up in multiple places..they reached out to Empire who sent a service tech to their house...the tech told them...the flooring was not installed correctly and that is why its coming up...this tech also said, Empire will never fix this for free they will come up with some excuse...fast forward a few weeks and thats exactly what happened...they called her to say...we are sorry it will be 5k plus to fix this. Empire should be ashamed of themselves. Please never use them for your flooring. I would leave them a negative 10 stars but it makes you choose at least 1 star. read more

If you have wood trim in your house be warned not to use this company to install LVP flooring. The picture pretty well speaks for itself. I've repeatedly reached out to customer service and keep being brushed off that this is the best they can do. Trim doesn't match the floor and certainly clashes with my baseboard. I was never told they wouldn't attempt to match my existing trim. I've never seen a company suggest this is a desired look before I'm shocked this is their idea of what customers want as it's such an eyesore. I'd previously had good experience with this company but based on my interactions with customer service and my request to fix this be repeatedly ignored I just want to try to warn as many people as possible to look elsewhere. Edit to add - the company has offered me zero options to "move forward on" that don't require me spending even more money with them - and are refusing to refund even a small amount of money so I can get this resolved. read more

I normally don't leave reviews, but after two bad experiences with Empire Flooring, I feel it's important to share. I originally hired Empire to install laminate planks. Unfortunately, the material and the installation did not last long at all -- the planks began separating and buckling. Even though I was disappointed the first time, I decided to give the company a second chance about ten years later and had them replace the floor with vinyl planks. Within two years, the exact same issues started happening again. The planks continued to separate and buckle. I purchased an extended warranty the second time, but the coverage was extremely selective and not clearly explained at the time of the sale. When I reached out for help, I was told that many of the issues were not covered. To make things worse, the planks are no longer available, so matching the damaged areas has become impossible. I contacted Empire multiple times for an estimate to replace the damaged sections. After several calls and emails, they simply stopped responding. It's very frustrating to be ignored after investing so much money and trusting their warranty. Overall, I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the flooring, the lack of transparency in the warranty, and the poor customer service. I would not recommend Empire Flooring based on my experience. read more

Terrible time scheduling our installation. This was a long distance move and we had to rearrange our schedules to be there just for them to cancel. That happened 3 times. On the day the crew arrived they came 2 hours late and walked right in the house without even ringing the doorbell. Didn't involve us in the job while they were doing it. Just talked to us when they wanted their money. We talked to customer service and they are giving us $100 for our trouble. Would not recommend Empire Today to anyone. read more

The SECOND installation was cancelled 15 minutes AFTER they were supposed to be here, the installer called in sick I guess I wasn't top priority. THIRD installation no show, no call. Absolutely the worst company you could ever hire to enter your home not only will they not show up when they say they're going to not once not twice not three times but four times and then that was just during for installation button then not even six months later, the living room floor started to pull apart and come apart I asked for repair Set it up for them to come do so say it's not gonna take a long time for them to fix it next thing that happens is they don't show up and they don't show up and they don't show up and they don't show up and I've missed numerous days of work. I wanted to give the carpet a solid 6 months before I wrote a review, it's been six months and I still am not happy. The carpet is poor quality, install is bad, I am missing padding in areas, furniture that was moved was damaged (I was able to get reimbursed for part of the damage), but I was charged for flooring removal that was not included in the initial contract that they just charged for. I'm already looking to replace it because it's terrible. Waste of time and money. read more

I would never use Empire Today for another job. The salespeople are high pressure and they pull the let me talk to my manager to see if they can get you a better price. The Install team only spoke basic English so I was unable to ask them questions or tell them to stop doing stuff. The install team cut all the plywood in my house and got sawdust everywhere. I had to wash everything, all the walls, wipe down all the furniture in the house, and anything that was out in the open. My house is now as clean as the day we moved in. I even had to repaint a wall because they scratched it all up removing my old floring. Empire didn't give the install crew enough materials to complete my flooring so they left the installation unfished. Trying to get Empire to contact me about getting my installation completed took a week to get them to return my call, and they never replied to my emails. The salesperson was no help during this process either. Finally, after 3 weeks, they finished my installation. The floor looks nice but the product is mid-grade at best and I suppect it will only last 5 to 10 years before it needs replacement. Using Empire Today was the worst home improvement experience I have ever had, and I would not recommend using them EVER. read more

We had a rep come in and discuss some flooring. The deal sounded great and we gave him a check for a deposit and he was suppose to wait until we could transfer some money to the account before he deposited the check. The more that we discussed it, we deceided to cancel the order and wait till after the winter. My husband spoke to and texted the rep to cancel the order and to not deposit our check. We low and behold the check was deposited and now has shorted us for our mortgage payment. We now have to scramble to get to the bank and cover it because it will take them 5-7 days to refund it. I am very dissatisfied in the salesman and the customer support agents on the phone basically stating you gave him the check. We had an agreement and he failed to honor that agreement. read more

When I asked the rep what products qualified for the advertised sale price he told me there weren't any! That's just a ploy they use to set the appointment! Really? While we certainly know this review won't change anything for our situation, we at least hope it may prevent some frustration and headaches for someone else. First, the good... The installers (Ignacio and his team) did amazing work and our floors are amazing, right now, we are pleased with the actual product. The installation coordinator(?) - Eric Peterson - top notch. He was the only person who actually made us feel heard, offered advice, guidance, and suggestions for how to proceed. If this rating was based off of them and the product alone, it would be 5 stars all day. But unfortunately, the rest of our experience far outweighs those things. The installation team and the actual flooring product are the only reasons we rated Empire as positively as we did. Everything else was so disappointing. Things we learned... 1. Be extremely cautious of the "All Inclusive" pricing. It sounds great, but you can't get a breakdown of the pricing. The salesperson can't provide one, and the person who the salesperson says to ask, ignores the request the first 3 times the request is made, and the 4th time, says they don't have specific cost breakdowns. That person then passes you on to someone else, who only provides small screenshots instead the entire document. It is difficult to understand how a company of this size is not be able to produce an itemized breakdown of the work provided upon request, or even a percentage breakdown, i.e. X% is towards product, X% for demo, X% for installation, etc. 2. If there are issues found, which understandably may happen with home remodeling, may the odds be forever in your favor. If you have questions, concerns, or voice frustrations, you are then entered into a "Blame someone else (including you the customer)" game. Our salesman also admitted he noticed one of the issues, but didn't think it was important to mention to us. 3. Strongly suggest that you do all the demo and move all the furniture yourself. Why? Because if there are issues found that cause you have to end up doing your own demo or move the furniture that, in the contract, they agreed to do, they won't adjust the cost so you don't pay them for work they didn't do. If you do ask, you likely won't hear anything unless you continue to ask. You're met with radio silence at first, then an assurance that it will be looked into, then when you still don't hear anything and ask again, you're met with a non apologetic response without details on if/how they are going to work with you. 4. They are ok with false documentation and misrepresentation. The salesman documented that our discount was a manager approved price match a quote from a different company (100% false in our case) and when you call them out on that, they are surprised and confused why you say that you question their honesty. They also hide behind the "Manager Discount" and All Inclusive Pricing as the excuses on why they supposedly can't adjust the price for work they didn't do. And just insist that you still got a great deal. 5. When your concerns/questions do finally get escalated to someone who you have hopes that they might actually be someone who listens, you are greeted by someone who just wants to convince you that you got a great deal, and doesn't give the impression they actually are listening to why you are upset. This person also just keeps insisting that you still got a great deal despite being charged for work they didn't end up performing. Knowing they are ok with their sales reps entering false documentation, refusing to provide some sort of breakdown (they repeat over and over that can't do this because they aren't a retail shop and because they do all inclusive pricing), and being ok with just providing snippets and screenshots instead of the full documentation, it is hard to believe them when they say, "I assure you, you got a great deal". They boast how badly they want a 10/10 rating. The lack of communication, subpar customer service, and the "leadership" response when there are issues, are the reasons why we will not be using Empire again or recommending it to others. read more

I recently had flooring and carpet installed. First, there was a high pressure interaction with the sales person. Then, when they were supposed to do the installation, they didn't show up the day they were supposed to. When they finally showed up, the job seemed OK, but there were a few problems, such as missing wall trim, and the carpeting was preventing some of the doors from opening and closing easily, which I didn't learn until they had left. And when I called the company to complain, at first they told me an installer would call me to see about fixing the problems. But when I heard nothing and called them back, they said they don't come back once they leave. I cannot recommend doing business with Empire. read more

DO NOT LET Luna/Empire INSTALL ANYTHING! My entire weekend was lost waiting for the installer to show up even though my date was "guaranteed". That guarantee meant nothing! Waited all day, called customer support numerous times and was strung along the entire day until it became too late to start. They kept moving my window back every time I called. First, as early as 8am, then 12-3, then 4-6. Failure on every level, they had multiple chances to realize they gave the installer more work (3 jobs ranging from Chicago to Milwaukee) than was humanly possible to complete in one day. When installer finally called (for the first time) to tell me he was on the way, it was almost 6pm and he was coming from Chicago- an hour and a half away!!!!! The room to be carpeted was empty and had no lighting. Not only would he not be able to see, he would have been working until midnight! It's a condo, we have noise rules. He was nice enough to come the next day but he said they didn't give him enough carpeting and the simple job took 6 hours not 2-3 as the Rep told me. 2 full days of waiting and that's not the end. I have been in touch with customer support asking for a discount/refund and was offered $50 off, really? That is a lame attempt to make things right, I said no and I asked them to send my info to their boss and now I am being ignored. They stopped responding. Beyond frustrating experience, never again and you should not either. It's not worth the time and stress you will no doubt endure...and the cost wasn't that great either, in fact I think I overpaid! I used to think Empire Today was a good company, but not anymore. First, a rep came over to give us a quote on hardwood floors. The next day we had a couple of questions, but the rep couldn't be bothered to return my calls or answer my emails. Second, the company installed window blinds in our bedroom two years ago. At the time, one was installed incorrectly and the installer had to come back. Another blind just fell off the window and, when I called Empire and asked if someone could come today because it's our bedroom, it was as if the rep wasn't even listening to me. She said someone would call me in one to three days. I had to press her a lot to get her to contact someone in my area to call me today. It was as if she had no understanding of the problem. She finally said she'd leave a message for someone to call me, and I'm still waiting. I'm sure there's no way that blind will be reinstalled in our bedroom window today. read more

I had the highest of hopes for Empire Today delivering quality and expert service. This did not happen. The jingle in my head for my whole life did not live up to the sense of security it instills. I spent a significant amount of money for a half-a**ed subcontracted b.s. installation. The worst part is Empire's utter resistance to take responsibility for the crew they hired to do the job. I will not get into detail of all that was of issue because it would be entirely too lengthy. I've been back and forth with the marketing manager who has been of very few words. I sent emails to all four of them provided to ensure a 10 star performance. I heard back from only one of them. I sent numerous pictures documenting my numerous issues and a very lengthy email. I was given zero consulation for my dissatisfaction. It's been weeks since my installation and this is still not resolved. Buyer beware! Customer service is lazy and lackluster. After weeks of begging for resolution or even a response, I agreed to settle on a reimbursement. "Marketing man" said I'll send the agreement tomorrow. That was four days ago. Please be aware that your concerns do not seem to be their concerns and they will get back to you with whatever grievance you have, in their own sweet time. Be aware also that your concerns are of little value, your installation is subcontracted and quite possibly by individuals you cannot communicate with because of an obvious language barrier, that your signiture will be forged, and that they will do as little as possible to ensure your satisfaction. Yes, my signiture was forged regarding my acceptance of the work "completed". I asked for 20% reimbursement for the severely lacking workmanship, and all the product and labor that I paid for and didn't receive, and the fact that I now will have to hire someone else to make things right since that was not their priority either. Not to mention that forgery! 15% was the best they could do. "Send you the agreement tomorrow". Again, that was now going on four days ago. You might be better off hiring your own smaller company who may be hungrier than Empire seems to be to please the customer. Had I known that the work would be subcontracted, I may just decided to hire "All Floor It" all by myself and saved some money. Although I would still have to be fighting for a fair and decent outcome. On the bright side, the salesman we had was outstanding. I don't think he would even be ok with this outcome however. read more

Brought me a lot of samples of flooring I didn't know they or we thought of !!! Pick out a different floor style then I wanted until I seen the new styles etc !!! The only star belongs to the salesman, Don and that's about it. We own a business in New Berlin, WI and we needed to get flooring installed quickly before we moved in. We contacted Empire because of their reputation for the quick install. The luxury vinyl that we had installed went okay but there are spots that appear to be curling up a bit along the edges. We step on them and they seem to go back down. The installers were polite and they worked hard. The carpet is a whole different story. There were glue stains left on the carpet and the carpet had immediately buckled in several spots. Because we were putting a studio with heavy equipment in that particular room, we hoped to get it repaired right away. We contacted our salesman and he tried to get someone out to fix it since it was freshly installed. Nobody came. We tried three more separate times to schedule appointments and as each appointment time came and went, nobody ever showed up. I have wasted four different days waiting for anyone to come and fix this problem. I had not been able to build my studio for 3 1/2 months, waiting for someone to come. We finally ended up building the studio on buckled, stained carpet after the fourth no-show. Although Empire may come and install your floors rather quickly, and you will pay a high price for it in advance, they will provide NO customer service after the installation. And if anything goes wrong, you will get NO help from them at all. Their warranty is a complete joke and their customer service is absolutely horrible. During the install of a carpet on our staircase, the installers did extensive damage to our freshly painted walls (gauges into the walls even in areas far away from where the carpet was going, chipped paint, scratches) and new hardwood floors (damage from some kind of solvent that may have been spilled or tracked onto the floor). They did not replace the existing threshold after they installed the new carpets leaving an ugly exposed seam of tile. They did not lay down tarps or other materials to protect the floors and walls where they worked even after they were asked to do so. (They also arrived in their own vehicles and did not have clothing, badges, uniforms, or anything to label them as employees/contractees of Empire). We reported all this to Empire because the damage was too extensive to blow off, and it seemed like a lot of this could have been avoided if the installers were more careful. Empire initially was responsive and said that they would resolve this problem. They requested photos which we sent to them pictures, and we had several follow up conversations about this problem. Then Empire simply and abruptly ghosted us. They would not take our phone call or return messages. (We were very polite, respectful, and willing to work with them throughout all our communications. Our expectations and demands were very reasonable). We hired a painter to repair all the damages. I would never recommend using Empire because they took our money but did not finish the job and did not repair the damages they caused. Very unprofessional to simply ignore this problem especially after they said they would work to resolve it. read more

Back in November I wrote a review for Empire Today who installed carpeting and hardwood flooring. The carpet installation in my lower level was an issue where the bi-fold doors were pushed shut and not able to open. When I pulled them open they pulled the baseboard away from the wall. After several attempts to contact Empire I finally talked to a very nice representative who sent out repair people and the issue was fixed perfectly at no cost to me.
