I contracted with Empire because they could offer fast and complete installation of a product they assured me they had on-hand and ready to install. That was all a lie. And they have 0 accountability. My first clue that this company is happy to scam people should have been that they require 100% payment up front and then promise to "address any possible issues by coming back to fix it until you're happy". The sales guy Kevin True confirmed that the materials for my job were all available at the time we booked the appointment on Wed 4/23/25. Installation was set for Friday that week 04/25/25. But that was a lie to get me to sign the contract and pay over $16k. Something many consumers have experienced with them. Then Friday comes and the sub-contractors they sent are standing on my doorstep when Empire calls back to say, "Oops, our bad. We actually don't have the materials to complete your stairs but we can do everything else and come back next week for the rest." Fine. Only that was also a lie. Turns out the materials are actually on back order. When the sub-contractors leave, they leave the stairs in horrific condition with rusty staples sticking out from all angles on over a dozen stairs. We're ripping open our feet daily finding new staples and trying to remove them all ourselves. Frustrated, I call to speak to Finance and Customer Service about adjusting this bill since now we're going to be a minimum of 2 weeks out from the original contract date before they finish this job and our stairs are something out of Fear Factor. They tell me they can't do anything. Maybe they can discuss a discount or extremely minimal refund amount after the job is completely done-- get this--"because there could be other issues before we get to the end. We'd like to hope your materials come in in time for a May 10th install but we don't really know." So Amy the Seattle Customer Service manager runs the team like this. No more fake promises but absolutely no accountability. Go ahead and just call anyone off Angi's who can order your supplies and get the job done eventually for a better price. Empire is just a flooring supplier, all they are going to do is hire out a local contractor at random. If they can't guarantee the availability of their own materials there's really no reason to use them.

After sending emails and pictures this idiot decides to call a phone number when I was expecting reply via email and leaves me this ridiculous pathetic excuse, which was not true because we were left no voicemails I get this-- Sorry about the delay, I got sick at the end of last week and was out of the office. I left you two voicemails before I left on the number ending in 4119 - the call center put that as the best number to reach you at - was this in error? I'm sorry that I was not able to provide you with an outstanding customer service. I've gone over the photos with my team and to give that plank corrected would be $250. Please let me know if you would like to move forward I guess my $10,000 floor didn't come with a warranty! This is barely over a year old, and definitely not my fault.!!! so this is the kind of customer service that Empire today is going to serve you with. GO ELSEWHERE FOR YOUR FLOORING NEEDS!

I had to have my floors redone twice. They were not put together correctly and kept coming undone. Causing the floor to bubble up there is absolutely no water damage as I had it inspected before and after by an independent contractor. Empire says it was the fault of the installer and that it was not covered under warranty. I told them they needed to be held to a higher degree of accountability and fix the problem, but they refused to. This is such terrible customer service. I can't believe it I will never use Empire again however, if they do come out and fix it free of charge and do a good job I will consider changing my review or at least updating it.

Picture of the cut where they tried to fix it

Beware of having linoleum installed by empire !! I was told when the sales rep came out he said one layer of linoleum is fine to leave on while putting on the new linoleum ! So the installers came out did exactly that and there was so many air bubbles that it looked awful installer came back out to fix it and took a utility knife to cut it and try and get the air bubbles out, but it did not work then he tried to seal the cut and it looks horrible the installer said it's because of the linoleum underneath the new one. So I called the company to let them know what's going on and they asked for pictures and said it was going to be in an investigation so I sent them and the next day someone called me and said that the installers were going to come out and try to fix it . Tell me how are they going to fix a cut in linoleum ???????? . I'm not happy with it. I expected linoleum put in professionally and it looks horrible. UP DATE on 23 rd they had the same installers come out. They check to see if they could fix it is not fixable. So empire called back to let me know that the same installers was coming out to fix it today which the people already did come out and she was laughing the whole time and I explained to her what was going on again and she laughed. I was annoyed and I asked her why she was laughing and she said it's a coincidence that they came out and now she's calling I told her it was not funny and I will never use empire again to install linoleum in any of my houses and I do not recommend them.!!! And as far as the BUSINESS MANAGER responded to my review asking me to send them an email so that they can make it right. That was sent to other people that has left a bad review so it's meaningless to me. They're just hoping that would make them look good like they really want to make my experience good .

ON TIME ON BUDGET AS PROMICED ON POINT. A great experience, from the moment Matt & Ben set foot into our home until the installers left, this has been a seamless install. We could not be happier, Our sales team listened to our needs and budget and came up with several creative ideas to get done what we needed, they had samples, time frames that worked with us and pricing that just knocked it out of the park for us, Like all jobs we had several quotes that were all over the place but Empire just hit the sweet spot for us. The whole process was quick and easy, Matt had all necessary tools to accurately measure our home and when we agreed... he was able to process payment at our home and ensure all questions were answered. Our install team was in contact with us and let us know down to the minute when they would be at our home, and they went right to work, They were professional, clean, quick and knowledgeable. the work was sensational and beautiful. After the install was completed the cleaning was top notch, down to wiping the window sills for dust. I believe in Empire Seattle and my sales team Ben & Matt.. this was a great experience

Shoddy work. The first group of installers was a third party company. They did a great job. They installed our hardwood floors in a timely manner. They were respectful of our home. 2nd group of installers were employees of Empire. They scratched up our brand new hardwood floors. They incorrectly reinstalled our toliet and caused a leak. The rep seemed annoyed when we asked for it to be fixed. We went almost a month without any transition. Everyone pointed fingers at the next group about who was supposed to install it. Finally did and the results are shown.

The un level area of our floor that the installers put flooring over with no leveling first

I honestly feel speechless. AND PLEASE DONT POST THE AUTOMATED RESPONSE STATING YOU ARE CONCERNED BECAUSE THAT IS SO NOT TRUE! Never did I imagine a place like Empire operates like they have with us. It has been 1 year since we purchased our new flooring for our kitchen and as of today, we still have a mess ! From what I can gather, this is what I payed for: installers making major mistakes, only to come out to repair them over and over and a year later we still have a mess of a floor, materials stacked and left in our dining room for 2 months by the installers without asking us, no protection and then re-installed when they attempted their 3 rd repair which again failed - installers showing up with no notice - having to miss work on numerous Saturdays so floor can be repaired, only to have some reason they couldn't (wrong material, wrong diagnosis of floor problem) - not any apologies from anyone at Empire, only being made to feel as if this is all our fault- numerous tickets opened, and when no one showed or called , finding out out tickets were closed for some reason - calling and trying the chat on the website to just get someone to call me so I can discuss all of this, with no call. I can go on but I won't. This has been a nightmare and my job is on the line for me having to miss numerous Saturdays for nothing. I am currently standing on my messed up floor wondering what this Saturday will bring. I am not very hopeful and my work has informed me this is my last Saturday off for this.

We have a baby, and wanted to change the floors of a house we bought for durability and aesthetics before moving in. There were also a number of creaks in our floors, and we wanted to get them fixed. Erik's team was able to take off the carpet and existing pine hardwood, level the floor, and install the laminate we picked out. His team came at 8am every morning and they finished by evening when we came back. We did this before we moved into our new house, and we love the way our house looks and feels now. Erik (the owner) was the first to come do the consultation, he was quick, and to me he felt very trustworthy from the beginning. He was also communicative throughout the whole process - often on the over-detailed side. And among the other offers, his was reasonable in price (compared to others) and according to our quick timeline. That said, when you get work done you may come across hurdles and it's important you get alternate opinions. As first time homeowners, we assumed that getting flooring done is straightforward. Apparently it's not. We were warned that the initial quote may be affected by the state of our subfloors once they take out the existing flooring. We got an urgent call saying that there was a lot more unevenness in our floors than expected, and that they would have to pour self leveling throughout the entire house, which was a quote of 90 bags, at $150 each. We were told that was the only option, and were strongly encouraged to go this route to make our timeline. After getting evaluations from multiple other flooring experts, we got alternate advice for up to 12 bags of self leveling, max. Our home is only 10yrs old. 90 bags of self leveling is enough for an entire apartment building, and weighs over 2 tons. Apparently the only way to guarantee absolute evenness is if you just pour self leveling on the entire floor, and also easier for the workers. But we opted for the labor-intensive (but more cost effective) way of going through the whole house measuring each high point & low point, sanding down the high points, and only pouring in the patches at the low points. Needless to say, we rejected the proposed approach and Erik's team was able to handle the uneven subfloors with only 3 bags. Three. Unfortunately, this issue resulted in several days delay in the completion of our project, not to mention a lot of additional stress. We wish this hurdle had not happened. That said, we are proud to have not caved under urgency and stress - it would have cost us 13.5K! That said, after consulting quite a few flooring companies - I noticed that each will use different numbers for labor, materials, demo, etc. They also suggest different approaches like keeping quarter rounds on baseboards or ripping them off and attaching new ones. Adding transitions as an additional cost or not, etc etc. Get as many quotes as you can so you understand what is the average price you should expect to pay - they may charge differently, but at the end of the day they have to meet their numbers to pay their guys and still make a profit. Flooring costs more than I expected, and most of the quotes I got were 14-20K for 2 story house around 2000sq ft. (Bathrooms excluded). At the end of the day, we love our new floors. Erik was extremely communicative through the whole process. His team was hardworking, and finished the work before we had to leave on a trip. They were detailed for the part of the floor which met the fireplace, making sure it was flush against the uneven hearth tile. There are barely any squeaks left in the house. They came and resolved any concerns we had. They were flexible with movers coming as they were finishing the last day. All in all, although there was a hiccup in the process, we did have a very good experience with Erik and his team. And, I'm confident he will recommend the spot patching method for leveling the floor for future clients. Thank you for making our floors one of my favorite parts of the house now, Hardwood Plus!

As a homeowner, I couldn't be happier with the experience and highly recommend them. Vitaliy was excellent to work with throughout the process. He communicated openly about costs, risks, and timelines. His initial quote was the most thorough and detailed among all the bids we received (e.g. including a potential subfloor leveling cost range upfront to avoid surprises later on). He was also open to incorporating a written addendum I provided alongside the standard contract so that all project expectations were clearly documented from the start. When a supplier mistake from Shaw Floors delayed materials and forced my family into a longer Airbnb stay, Vitaliy stepped up and helped cover the ~$1,500 extra cost. That meant a lot to us. The crew treated our home with respect, the floors look beautiful, and throughout the project I felt I could truly trust Vitaliy and David's Flooring. I would absolutely use them again and recommend them to other homeowners for flooring work.

They gave me a ball park price, and directed me to the showroom. I wanted flooring that matched the other room of the house. I was provided with samples (kind of large slabs), and was free to bring back the samples whenever it was convenient to me. Overall, they were relaxing to work with and not pushy at all. I made the date for them to come to rip the carpet out, and install the flooring. They were able to complete one room in one day. My request was finished within 3 weeks of contacting David's flooring. The additional great thing is that since my floor was already pretty level, the need to level out my flooring was cleared out of my invoice. So, they gave really great estimates. There were no hidden fees or surprises when I worked with them. Overall, that room was about 2k. The convenience and quickness was really worth it to me. Additionally, they removed and reinstall the baseboards which makes the finish much more professional look.
