Jacek replaced our worn out bamboo floors with beautiful 4" white oak floors with a clear finish. We replaced all of the floors throughout our 2 story home and it only took 3 weeks to complete the work. We love our new floors, Jacek did a wonderful job! Price was reasonable and he stayed on budget and on schedule. He was super easy to communicate with throughout the project. We were also coordinating this work with a kitchen remodel, Jacek was flexible with his start, and end dates. He moved his schedule several times to accommodate our kitchen remodel and came back to complete the kitchen floors at a later date. Jacek and team did a fantastic job installing our white oak hardwood floor from beginning to end. First, I shopped around a bit and his prices are very competitive. Jacek's customer service stood out from the start. He invited us to his hardwood provider out in Woodenville to go over options and talk specifics. Also, all the while being very flexible in terms of timing and schedules. Speaking of timing, we had a very tight schedule, I won't go into specifics but I'll share that we essentially had a 3-4 week window and Jacek was able to make it work in very short notice. Finally, in further demonstration of his phenomenal customer service, when it came to picking the finish for our floor, he met us late evening/early Friday night after work. He then had his team come in on the weekend to get a jump start so that they were finished by mid-week, a week before our deadline. In the end, we are very happy with the quality of service. The floors look absolutely amazing and they left very little trace (aside from the new beautiful hardwood) of ever being here; Almost no dust and the baseboards only require the expected minimal paint to cover where they were nailed back in. read more

Jacek refinished the floors in our living and dining room this week and did an absolutely amazing job--for substantially less than the other two quotes we received. He even stained the unfinished quarter-round installed by the previous homeowners to match the floors, without increasing his estimate. He was super responsive, friendly and knowledgeable, and the floors look incredible, just like new. This company does work that is not even up to industry standards! I had them install maple hardwood on the main floor of my house that had some maple that was already there. I have had 3 companies and an inspector make the point that the wood does not match and several other areas have not been done in a professional manner or up to industry standards. Please do no use this company. I gave them an opportunity to fix the issues but even though they say they want to make it work, they are not willing to admit that the wood is the wrong grade and that the quality of the finish is unacceptable and there are several areas where the wood was cut too short and a piece of wood was just stuck in the hole. Very unprofessional and shoddy work was done on my floors! I was also told by the owner that flush vent covers were not possible and all three companies and the inspector said flush registers should have been installed. They also supplied vent covers that do not even fit. Beware! read more

Our neighbors were building a house and one day I stopped by to see the progress. They had just had their hardwood flooring put in and stained by Jacek at First Washington Hardwood Floors and they looked amazing! I got their contact info and called as we were ready to install our hardwood flooring as well. Jacek was very responsive and came out to give us a bid in the next couple of days. The bid was in line with others we had gotten, so after seeing his work on the neighbors house, we booked him. We installed pre-finished hardwood and Jacek and his team glued down a layer of cork underneath them to limit the sound heard on the floor below. Then, instead of nailing in the flooring, they glued it to the cork, as nails would transmit vibrations to the ceiling of the floor below. I don't even know where to begin on how amazing this company is. We have lived in Seattle for 12 years and have done our floors 3 times with them. We did all the floors the first time. Then we had them take out carpeted rooms and do hard wood in them, they blended it so perfectly and it just looked unbelievable. The third time they came back was because we had done a remodel and the builders really were aggressive and messed up our floors pretty bad. And again, Jack and his team did an amazing job.
