BEWARE! Carpet Proz is currently operating without a license or bond in the state of Washington and if they damage your home (as they did to ours) it will now be difficult to seek remedy through the the Department of L&I and you'll need to seek other legal recourse (as we will) to recoup your money. We have never written a Yelp review before but our interactions with Lorenzo have forced us to come to this platform to help others avoid the issues we've experienced with him and Carpet Proz. The quick overview: we hired Carpet Proz to install a runner on our brand new stairs at the beginning of March and were impressed with their Yelp reviews which gave us peace of mind that they would perform well. Before the Carpet Proz installer's arrival, I checked with Lorenzo that a member of his team would be familiar with the stair runner material he would be installing. He assured me that the installer was familiar with the material and would bring the correct equipment. His installer arrived 3 hours late (at 6pm on a weeknight) and after three attempts to install the runner properly, he departed at 11pm and left our staircase with a crooked runner and errant and broken off staples on nearly every single stair -- a serious safety hazard. We emailed Lorenzo the next morning with photos of the damage. To Lorenzo's credit, he got right back to us, acknowledged the damage and promised to send someone out to fix it as soon as there was an opening in their schedule. Given this positive follow up, I purchased a new stair runner (which we never would have had to buy had they not damaged the first one!) as there would be no way to reinstall it properly. As you'll see from the screenshots attached, since that initial reply email, he has never responded to us via email again despite our pleas to come back and remedy the damage. I did finally get a hold of him by phone and he first tried to tell me that he confused me with another client named "Kelly" and that he'd find someone to fix our stairs ASAP and would follow up with me by the end of the day. He went radio silent once again, and the following week, I had to track him down via phone again. He then used the excuse that his whole crew got Covid and couldn't perform installations, but promised for a third time that he would find someone to repair the damage. He said he really appreciated my patience and he would remedy his mistakes and find an installer to come to my house that week to redo our stair runner. Again, radio silence and no follow up. We have called him several more times with no response. It has now been 2 months and we are left with a staircase that is extremely dangerous and has become a safety hazard to our family. We cannot walk on our internal staircase without shoes on due to the staples protruding everywhere and will now need to find another installer to come in and fix Lorenzo's damage. Also, as an FYI to all, Lorenzo told us that their "credit card machine was down" the evening that our install happened so we agreed to pay for this stair runner install in cash, but clearly that was a fraudulent claim so we couldn't go back to our credit card company to dispute their shoddy work in the future if needed. Well played, Lorenzo. In short, do not hire Carpet Proz for any carpet or flooring installation in your home if you care about quality, safety or follow through when issues arise. read more

We had an appointment scheduled for two weeks with these guys to try and stretch the carpet where our dog had damaged the edge. Sent them pictures well ahead of time so they'd know what the situation was and what they were working with. Got the typical 10-12 window, which I hate, and of course didn't show up until 1pm, saying he couldn't find the place. It's not hard to find, by the way. On top of it, he reaked of smoke. Then tells us he can't stretch it because there's no wrinkles (hence why we sent him pics ahead of time), and said he might be able to patch it but that it wouldn't match. I'm at work so wife calls me to tell me and discuss options and in the middle of that conversation he leaves saying he's walking away from this job all while claiming to be a professional. Have you ever bought something and before you can even get over the feeling of excitement; unforeseen circumstances 180'd that moment? I had that happen on one of the most monumental moments of my life. My first house. The gateway to adulthood and being a young professional. My dog ripped (literally) that moment from me. Before I left for work, I put my dog outside in his newly acquired fenced in domain. Long story short I come home to find that I have some sort of reverse psychology mastermind on my hands that wants to break IN to the house. Usually we had to worry about him breaking OUT of the house. Fast forward 5 hours and I come home to what I was hoping was a happy dog outside with minor holes in the ground. No! Not the case. I come home to the biggest rager' that a young pup could have in my house! The main damage was the carpet. He had found a seem string of some sort and pulled it up and ripped up the carpet. I didn't know whether to walk back outside and try it all over again to find a different result or just cry then and there in front of my puzzled dog surrounded by his Arsenal choices of destruction. I did what anyone would do in my situation and I got on Yelp. Searched carpet repair. Found Enzo called him, he asked for pictures for an estimate. Sent them. He called me back. Gave me an awesome price! Asked when I would like it done. I said "for a price like that, you tell me when". He said "how about tomorrow evening". Less 24 hour repair?! Unheard of. He came and did a great job with a great personality to go with the work. Definitely someone you can welcome into your home and trust to do a great job. Enzo did great work. He was very flexible to work around our schedule. He replaced all the carpet on our stairs, stretched the carpet in the master bedroom and he also fixed the carpet in a guest bedroom that was ruined from my cat's scratching it. You can't tell it was damaged! He did all of this for a reasonable price. Would definitely recommend. read more

I was so happy when Enzo could squeeze me into his schedule the same day I called him. We spoke on the phone regarding the two carpet thresholds that needed to be repaired. He asked me to send him pictures of the two areas and then he gave me an estimate price. When he arrived, we surveyed the damage and decided to use a piece of carpet from a front closet that could easily be replaced. He brought all the right tools and was able to seam the new carpet into the existing carpet and it looks like new. Enzo was friendly and we chatted during the time he was working his magic. I mentioned that the next day was my birthday and that I was excited to have lunch with my sister and nephew. The next day he sent me a text wishing me a happy birthday, which I thought was so sweet. I picked Carpet Proz because of their Yelp reviews - so feel an obligation to warn other readers.They arrived 2 hours late - then did not complete the installation on the day they had promised. They left my expensive carpet out in my garage, which is not water safe - and said they would be back in the morning. Then, the next day - they said they couldn't come and would send someone else at a different time. Then, they said that person could not come on that day and would need to come another day that week. When I couldn't accommodate their new inflexible schedule, they said that they were canceling the job and were going to charge me anyway. They keep charging my credit card for the full cost of the job - even though they barely started it. I had to hire another installer, who had to fix the mess they had made when they took out the old carpet and made mistakes with the padding. It took that installer 3 days to fix their stuff and complete the installation. Please don't make the mistake I did and work with these guys. -- Just a quick note to address their response below. My experience with Carpet Proz was nothing short of excellent. I called on a Sunday at 2pm asking to get our carpet stretched and they were able to get someone out at our place at 5pm the same day. The worker showed up a little late but let me know it was due to traffic. The work was good but there was still some areas that needed stretching. However, there was a part that he was able to pull and fix that I admit I tried to do myself and messed up on. He charged me $250 but I was quoted $100 to $200 so it was $50 more than expected. He didn't vacuum and wasn't sure if he was supposed to. Just letting people know what to expect. I thought he worked relatively fast took about 2 hours max. read more

Super happy with Enzo's work. He was planning on coming out the same day I called. That didn't end up happening due to the job he was in running over, so instead he came out the next morning before I left for work, repaired a patch of carpet where an iron had been set down, cleaned up after himself and was gone in time for my morning to proceed as normal. The patch job was really good using some remnants I had left over, and the fact that he prioritized my repair and scheduled his time to suit me really really was refreshing. read more

Carpet Proz did a re-stretch on my basement carpet, two bedrooms rooms and a hallway, I got the carpet from Home Depot a few years ago. The installer (Devon) was able to get the challenging work done in a day. We did empty the rooms completely to give him room to work. One of my cats got locked into a room overnight and tried to scratch her way out.. The carpet edge looked terrible. I read the positive reviews about Carpet Proz and Lorenzo. I called him the next morning and he answered, not a voice message. He was available to come that evening. He worked with me around my work schedule. Enzo is a pro. He took the time and care to install our family room carpet beautifully. There were several seams involved and he melded them together "seamlessly". They aren't visible at all, and they won't come apart, which goes back to the fact that he took the time to do it right. Enzo is a skilled craftsman but won't take forever to complete the job. He was good with communication prior to coming out, got straight to work, wasn't distracted by his phone, and gave me a competitive price. I have absolutely no experience with DIY projects, so I was happily surprised when Enzo of Carpet Proz helped me all the way through the process of getting my new condo completely re-carpeted. He helped me with the selection of the carpet and pad, coordinated the pickup of materials, scheduled his crew for the work, performed a thorough inspection upon completion, and submitted an invoice that was pretty close to the original estimate, despite my asking to have an extra closet carpeted, outside of the original specification. I was completely astonished that Enzo's crew of magicians were able to get the entire place done in a single shift (154 sq. yds!); they even did the stairs in a way that was superior to the original job! I reached out to Carpet Proz based on the positive reviews but I didn't have the same experience. I spoke to Lorenzo who asked me to send photos of the damaged carpet I needed repaired, which I did immediately. He didn't get back to me after two follow on texts so I called and he hadn't looked at the photos sent 48 hours earlier and he seemed clueless about something he is supposed to be an expert. He subsequently sent me a text saying the only technician he had to fix my berber carpet was on vacation and good luck. I'm delighted for all those who got good service but I'm completely unimpressed with them. read more

Had Lorenzo come out and do carpet stretching to a house we just moved into. He stretched the carpet for our two upstairs bedrooms. He was a nice guy and did the job. I just had to deduct stars because he must've got my appointment mixed up and was late by 2 hours. Also, the cost was higher than what he quoted me. I have had the carpets repaired before and thought the job was good but Lorenzo @ Carpet Proz was much much better. Lorenzo helped me when a tenant moved out from a 200+ sq ft top floor bedroom with a walk-in closet. That floor has huge temperature fluctuations and had several warps in the carpet, as a result. When I called him, I thought the job was smaller than it was. I moved furniture in the hours before he arrived and found more warps. Thankfully, he helped me with that room and also the stairwell/landing leading up to the floor. I still have a lot of work to do to be ready for the next tenant, but it is now much easier after Lorenzo's service. I would recommend him any day. read more
