My HOA clearly made a terrible decision in choosing a company to paint our complex. I've made numerous calls and sent over photos of the property damage their workers have caused and have never heard back from EmpireWorks. They are unprofessional and clearly don't care about what they stomp on, scratch, or spray paint all over just to get the job done. I would post this in Las Vegas but I could not find Empireworks listing in Yelp in NV. Our HOA put out an RFP to paint our townhome complex in Las Vegas and Empireworks submitted the low bid which we accepted. The project was done in December and because of the weather, they took a little longer then expected but remained professional and courteous throughout. The project was completed in early January of 2017. Here is why I feel compelled to post a review. It is so easy to whine about a contractor but when they step up, no one says a word. 9 days ago (On a Saturday) I noticed that the paint around our pool area was starting to flake off. I emailed our management company to contact Empireworks about the issue (Which the management company did on Monday.) Tuesday morning, 2 foremen from Empireworks were out inspecting the pool area and told me they had a solution and would try to resolve it before the end of the week. Thursday afternoon, the foreman knocked on my door to advise that a crew would be out the next day. By 3:30 Friday afternoon, the walls had been power washed, chipped, primed and repainted. S#@t happens. It's how your contractor reacts to it that makes all the difference. A+++ in my book read more

LINDA VISTA VILLAGE, LOMPOC, CALIFORNIA As a twenty year homeowner in the Linda Vista Condo community and current president of our HOA, I wish to comment on our satisfaction with EmpireWorks for the past 2.5 years as well as the uninformed one-star review written on 9-10-17 by Mik L. Like most HOA communities, most residents do not attend HOA meetings, do not volunteer for board positions, do not return ballots and appear to be completely uninterested or aware of the work and decisions of their board. Usually the same 4-5 people attend the meetings. As a new owner of 5-6 weeks, if Mik L. had taken the time to contact our HOA Manager or any of the board members about the issues listed in his review he would have found that we have a schedule for completing those items. None of the items mentioned in Mik L's review have been overlooked by our contractor: **FLASHING: all will be replaced prior to installation of new gutters **WINDOWS: Prior to Mik L's purchase the owner/seller never reported any problems with leaking windows to our manager during or after the turbulent 2016-17 rainy season. That building was completed prior to the rain. NOTE: windows are the responsibility of the owners. The windows are 35+ years old. Some owners, including myself, chose to replace them during the reconstruction. Windows were not completely removed unless the window frames had to be replaced due to dry rot or termite problems. They were loosened in order for the wrap which goes under the new Hardy siding to be put in place. **DOORS: Closed doors were painted leaving the edges inside the door frames unpainted. Door painting will be completed over three Saturdays when most residents should be home. Owners will be notified in advance. **VENTS: The "vents" are not vents, but cable tv/telephone boxes missing covers. Unable to find ready made covers, new ones are being fabricated and will be installed by the end of the project. **SECURITY LIGHTS: Porch, patio and deck lights were installed last year. New security lights will be installed shortly. I don't understand why Mik L. didn't question these issues prior to buying this unit, and why our manager wasn't contacted prior to writing this damaging review. I'm aware that it is possible to remove or change review and I hope that Mik L. will consider doing so. We have had a positive 2.5 year relationship with this company and and Regional VP, Ryan Kilpatrick. Work is in the final stages with the last three buildings under reconstruction after a delay of several months due to loan issues. They have been extremely accommodating and patient with us through some difficult times. This is an extremely large project requiring complete reconstruction of fifty-two 35+year old units (13 two-story buildings) in total disrepair from severe dry rot and termite damage to old T-11 wood siding. All siding will have been replaced with Hardy siding which is termite/water/fire proof upon completion in November 2017. I would not hesitate to recommend EmpireWorks to anyone. read more

UPDATE: After speaking again with someone from their home office and actually finding where they were painting at our complex in person and tracking down a worker to finish the cleanup we got the plastic and tape removed and all is well. It should never have come to having to make four contacts to get it fixed but I'm glad it's done. The paint looks nice and they offered reimbursement for our broken items. ******** They left a huge mess and did not fix it after I called the next day. They left plastic over our second story window that we have no way to get down so we can't open our window. Hopefully they will fix it tomorrow but that will mean at least two nights after the job was done. They left scraped off paint shards and trash on our back patio and our outside light is crooked and hopefully not broken. They broke some plastic storage containers on our back patio. read more

We had EmpireWorks redo all the deck coating for 202 units at our HOA. We could not ask for a better group of men. Oscar Monroy, the supervisor, did a great job handling all the owners. Simon and Christian Munoz, the guys who actually did the work, were amazing: polite, efficient, working with the homeowners to get access to the decks and always had a smile on their face. They were the true face of EmpireWorks because that is who we dealt with everyday. Lastly, Austin Riley who made sure the program was flowing smoothly and interacting between the homeowners, management company and his workers. There were some problems (mostly from the homeowners) but EmpireWorks was able to resolve them. It is a shame that all major projects can't go as smoothly as this! read more

They worked on our balconies over a month ago. Then it rained and almost all were flooded. The workers are nice, but not too professional. They have been to my unit many times now, patch the slopes, pour water, then leave only to come back a couple of days later and do all again. As of now my balcony is patched all over, not even painted yet, while they said they would be taking a couple of days to finish. I also learned the cost per balcony and it seemed very expensive for what they're doing. I would recommend this company to: a) have workers communicate better with people who live in these complexes, b) be more precise on when they're finishing the work, c) get it right the first time, after all this is their trade. read more

The quality of their work was excellent but most important, the customer service and follow up was more than we all expected. Last week our unit in PHE townhouse complex had siding replacement and painting was completed. The work was done with extreme professionalism and a high quality of skill by all workers. Don't let this company anywhere near your building. You will be sorry. They chipped away stucco and tore up some roof shingles for forensic testing. They did not reinstall correctly and two years later I still have a leak when there was none before. They claim it was due to "underlying roof issues". THIS COMPANY is completely INCOMPETENT on dealing with accidents and/or issues with the people who live at hoa residences. i live at serafina in eastvale ca. have had to deal with this personally this week. Saturday night my car was parked on one of the streets that they park and leave their crane or booms (what they call it) behind it and went inside for the night. my wife who works is a nurse at kaiser got home from work around 8pm and noticed my car had damage all in the front of the car with no vehicle in front anymore. we made a report with the security guard and our hoa. with 100% certainty and pictures to prove to the specific parts on crane that damaged my vehicle. This companies "team" "looked" into this and washed their hands of this situation by only stating they do not work those hours and the foreman takes keys home and to go through my own insurance. completely dismissing themselves from obvious damage by their vehicle. SO STAY AWAY from this company because they will not own up to mistakes, THAT everyone makes. HORRIBLE read more

We used empire works for a small project, to get a feel for how they would do on a larger project we have coming up where promised the job would be done within two week and the project took well over 60 days. With work that we where told was going to be done not touched we are so disappointed with the fact we ever even contracted with them for the work we are left with a project we are going to have to pay someone else to now finish as the work was done so sloppy and incorrect. They've badly scratched my car and are still giving me the run-around for it three weeks later. They are painting in my apartment complex and badly scratched my brand new car. The estimate to fix is over $1.300. The project manager met with me, took pictures of the scratches and the estimate and asked to send him my address in an email so they know where to send the check. I did, and I haven't heard from him since. I sent him a follow up email, which he ignored. I've called the company's customer service three times already. Each time they swear they'll get back to me, but no one does. The apartment management are telling me they are trying to pursue this too, but no results there either. read more
