I normally don't do reviews like this, but I want to tell people how awesome Oleg the manager at Safeway Auto Center was with fixing the dented side and rear fenders on my Ford Explorer. Rather than spend way too much purchasing new fenders, I sourced parts for fender flares and Oleg and the team were able to seamlessly repair the damage and remove dents and scratches that makes it look brand new! I mean, really looking like these are brand new Ford panels but they are not! And he quoted a very reasonable price that they were able to deliver on that amount. And to top off the amazing service, they washed, vacuumed and cleaned the car both exterior and interior. It looks fantastic. Oleg is very professional, courteous and manages an excellent business. After noticing a few weeks ago one of our running board's support structure got crushed during a service over the last two years, we ordered replacements and recently dropped them off to be prepped and painted by Alex before installation. Eric even made adjustments to our front splash guards to encase the running board's caps after installing them. We look forward to seeing how the treatment holds up under real-world conditions. Always affordable quality service. Eric patched my tire up and had me out of the shop within 10 min. He also fixed up my tire pressure for free and I payed 15$ less for the patch than what everywhere else that I had called quoted me for the service. They're usually pretty fast here in general and the services done here always last me a long time. They never try to upsell to me either. read more

I highly recommended this Autos shop. They've been my go to for years now. Their prices are beyond reasonable and the quality is top notch. To enter the shop you have to drive through a somewhat narrow alley way thing ish and these guys are very considerate. They never even ask me if I'm comfortable to drive out myself . After they finish their work- they always pull it out themselves for me. I'm a young female who knows nothing about cars - so lying about costs and repairs is quite easy for any shop, but these guys do no such thing. They've also been accommodating to my busy work schedule and at times even coordinated for me to pick up my car after working hours. read more

Honesty and integrity is what I got; I was looking for a Prius specialist to look into my daughter's car with ABS and traction control issues, I was pre diagnosed by phone following a few questions from the mechanic and I was advised that in this model - the ABS tends to break, I was quoted by phone a repair in access of $1000. I brought the car over and Borris hooked it up to the computer for diagnostics; he immediately informed me that it's not the ABS and that it is a sensor on one of the wheels, he also told me that I saved a lot of money not having to replace the ABS but rather a sensor. About 5 hours later I picked up the car with no brakes issues, a full service and oil change AND new rear breakers - all for a fair price of $205 These guys are knowledgeable, honest, professional and very reasonably priced. Came in for an oil change with a perfectly serviceable car. 10 minutes after I left them, a check engine appeared. I returned to them, they checked, they said a catalyst error. I understand that the oil change itself could not lead to this, but what else they did with the car, I don't know. I don't believe in coincidences. No customer focus. No desire to help. I came to safeway auto at a recommendation from a friend. Oleg was great throughout the entire process. He was very responsive and knowledgeable. The slowest part of the process was my own insurance company. My car was ready only a few days after the inspection. I was worried that the paint wouldn't match since the insurance didn't approve a replacement bumper, but their paint guy was great. The bumper looked good as new and the paint matched perfectly. I've since gone to their shop for other maintenance items and they always give me an honest answer. I went in asking for new brakes and said I'll replace them all today. They told me I could stand to wait and to just do it at my next service with them. I would definitely recommend this shop to anyone. read more

8/9/21 Absolute worst experience I've had at an auto shop. I saw this place was right around the block, and with plenty of 5 star reviews for me to think they could help me out. When I got there no one acknowledged or welcomed me at all. I even said hi to this older man who I didn't even know worked there, and he just says "hey" and walks right by. Then there's a guy with a headset which I assumed worked there as well....nothing. They absolutely ignored me for about 15 minutes, and then the owner asks me to pull out of the driveway, I do, and him and the young man just drive away. Nothing said. So I clearly don't want anything to do with them anymore, and I start looking up other shops. While still in front of their shop, I see them pull back in, and the guy with the headset walks up and asks what's wrong with my car. Feeling relieved by some sense of professionalism I get out and show him my engine. While I'm explaining my situation the older man just walks up and without even touching the car, says that it's something that's too big of a job for them to do and walks away.....they literally had wrecked cars in their shop, and my water leak issue was too big for them I get it, some mechanics are good at seeing stuff, but cmon man. Didn't even look at the part I was pointing at. Clearly the guy with the headset was embarrassed, and was maybe gonna try and soften the blow but I was pissed. Just said thanks and left. This place is terrible. Don't trust the positive reviews. Only come here if you need directions to a better Auto Shop. --------------Update ------------- Owner replies saying that the man who denied me has diagnostic skills that are apparently so good, that's why he works there. Then tells me that the job would've been 600-2000 and would've taken too long. Maybe they need to reevaluate their staff because they were totally wrong. I went to MIKES AUTO REPAIR which looked 3 times bigger and 10 times busier but I was able to be helped by the manager himself and all I needed was a replacement of 2 hoses.....that's it. No heaterbox leak which is what Safeway's top notch people told me. Just 2 hoses, I even had them replace my radiator hoses preemptively and it all came out to less than 500...... Just drive past Safeway Auto and go to mikes around the corner. WAY BETTER! read more

They have a lot of used prius parts and will install them for you. im going back to get some struts put in the front. They may be my new go to prius mechanic. if you have a used prius and dont want to spend money on new parts they have lots of used parts for prius's. read more

It been a while since I did my review of this shop so here is an update. I recently brought my Tesla to this shop to change few parts. While they are not Tesla certified shop, their mechanics know how to work on Tesla and did great job. They also know how to do body work on Tesla as well, thankfully I haven't had a need for that yet, but I ever do I will take it to them as well. read more

Just had some mechanical work done (start diagnosis/battery replacement, oil change and tire rotation, and A/C fix) and I am super happy--they got everything done in a few hours, charged very fair prices on parts and labor, and they did a good job with the work as far as my non-mechanic self can tell...my car starts now and the A/C is cold! The mechanic also mentioned a set of parts in my car that is probably in need of replacement coming up, but he was not pushy about it--just wanting to be helpful. For the 1st time I can honestly say "Finally! An auto repair business I can trust!" Especially hybrid cars. Safeway has worked on our Toyota Prius' ranging from 2005 to 2011after our car was in need to have the engine replaced last year. We appreciate the time they take to explain the issue, how quickly the job is done and their experience working with these cars without overpricing the work. Definately recommend them. They have their knowledgeable friendly staff, Felix and Oleg along with their experienced, "matter-of-fact" mechanic, Boris to get the job done. These are our 'go to' guys. Probably the most honest body shop I've ever been to. They tell you how it is and what needs to be done, no in between. I was so incredibly distraught about my car accident and they put me at ease. There's no "good time" to have an accident but mine happened literally at the worst timing possible. I was not equipped financially or mentally!! Safeway auto really hooked it up and did an awesome job on something I thought was for sure THE END. When they said their guys were really good, I didn't believe it until I had my finished product. It was as if there wasn't even a scuff of damage in the first place. On top of it all, they fixed up my front bumper which I had scratched long before the accident..with no extra charge.
