After being told by my doctor that surgery was my only option and being referred directly to a…read moreurogynecologist, I decided to try pelvic floor PT with Dr. Victoria first at the recommendation of my daughter, who is also a physical therapist. She specifically recommended Dr. Victoria because of her expertise working with active women and athletes. I'm so glad I did. The pelvic floor symptoms that originally brought me to Ironhorse Physical Therapy and Pilates improved significantly, and since completing pelvic floor PT, I have been able to play pickleball without any pelvic floor symptoms. Once that issue was under control, we shifted our focus to my right knee. My knee pain and swelling were limiting my ability to hike, play pickleball, and even do Pilates comfortably. I couldn't bend my knee enough to comfortably position it on the reformer foot bar and always had to modify my starting position. After several physical therapy sessions combined with Shockwave Therapy, I saw significant improvement. I can now use the reformer without modifying my position, my knee feels stronger, and I am able to play pickleball with much less discomfort. Another sign of my progress is that I can now comfortably sit cross-legged on the floor, something that had been difficult for quite some time. What sets Dr. Victoria apart is her holistic approach. She doesn't just treat the injury--she looks at the whole picture. She communicates directly with my personal trainer and provides guidance so that everyone involved in my care is working toward the same goals. That collaboration has helped me make faster progress and get better results. Shockwave Therapy has been a valuable part of my recovery, helping reduce pain and improve function when other approaches had not fully resolved the problem. We are still working toward my goals of stronger, more comfortable lunges and preparing for an upcoming hiking trip later this year, but the progress I've made already has exceeded my expectations. I've been coming to VibrantCare for about two and a half months for physical therapy after having…read morecarpal tunnel release surgery, and I can't speak highly enough of my experience. I've been working primarily with James throughout my rehab, and also had the opportunity to work with Carlena during a few of my sessions. Both have been excellent and truly helped me regain strength, mobility, and confidence in my wrist -- I've seen major progress in getting back to my normal activities, especially with sports and fitness. Each session is thoughtfully structured: starting with a warm-up using the warm wax to loosen up the wrist and hand, followed by manual therapy to improve flexibility, and finishing with targeted exercises and mobility work to strengthen and stabilize the joint. While I still have some mild stiffness (as expected with nerve recovery), I feel much better equipped thanks to everything I've learned from James and Carlena. They've taken the time to educate me throughout the process so I can continue to progress on my own even after "graduating" from PT. Beyond the therapy itself, the environment at VibrantCare is welcoming and encouraging -- I always felt supported, motivated, and well cared for.
