I fell in love because while enjoying a cappuccino and breakfast sandwich, I got to watch them greet just about everyone by name, including kiddos and dogs. About half the customers came with their 4 legged friends which was sweet to show and explains the wall of sweet doggie Polaroid. They also asked about folks family, how their move went, how their work was, ect in a way that shows not only do they truly care about their customers but their customers come back over and over. I can see why. Adorable little spot has it all figured out. Cute area with easy front door parking, tables inside and out, to go options and great food.

Ordered a special maple cold brew and it turned out so awful and curdled. For $9, I was extremely disappointed in the drink. I could barely even drink it! It was presented pretty but it curdled very fast with floating gunk. My friend had a fruity drink that she said was alright. I asked about gluten free syrups as I have a serious allergy and I was informed and when I let them know about my allergy I got a very rude "okay". Very sad about this experience as it doesn't seem like a common one compared to other reviews. Maybe I'll try it again in the future but for this price and quality, sucked.

As a general rule, I love Caffe Nero and visit them when in the area of one of their locations…read more This one is just as worthwhile a visit as the others. First off, it's 8:30a.m. and the place is half full of mom's and their kids. So the locals also approve! One wall is covered in book shelves. A foosball table is in the back corner. A couple of tables take space in the sunny window front. All on brand. Restrooms in the back are clean. The order line forms on the left. They have all the expected sandwiches waiting for you including a Vegan Breakfast sandwich and of course some pastry. They have lots of cold and hot coffee beverages. I was tempted by a blood orange latte, but I stuck to my Americano. I had that with one of their huge croissants. I think the gentleman who helped us was new. It took him a bit of time to make the beverages, but that's OK. We're patient. He was very polite, asked all the right questions and got the order correct and that's what matters. We picked a couple of comfortable seats near the entrance and watched the constant flow of customers come and go. Around 9a.m. it looked like a bus load of high school students were dropped off at the door. Ha! Not an actual bus, but that line was long. This is a great spot for a variety of coffee drinks, pastry, sandwiches and meeting up with friends. The neighborhood clearly agrees.

The breakfast menu includes plenty of options with filling portions of breakfast staples including eggs, benedicts, omelettes, pancakes, french toast, waffles, or breakfast sandwiches. The menu also offers several sandwiches -- including grilled chicken, boneless fried chicken, chicken salad, steak and cheese -- which are available all day for those heathens who don't crave breakfast foods at every opportunity. I had the Javah Grindah sandwich ($8), comprised of two eggs (over medium at my request), breakfast meat (ham, bacon, or sausage), and a side of James River BBQ sauce on a fresh grinder roll. Unfortunately.. although the description on the menu doesn't mention cheese, my sandwich came out with two slices of white American cheese. I hate having to ask a restaurant to do this, but I had to send it back because lactose. Our server apologized for the misunderstanding and brought a replacement sandwich without cheese out straight away. The sandwich was really tasty with the BBQ sauce. My dining companion preferred something lighter and opted for the Skinny Girl Pick ($12), comprised of two eggs, fresh avocado, fresh fruit, and a few slices of wheat toast, which she really enjoyed. We will definitely be back next time we're in the area! PRO TIP: Make sure you let your server know of any food allergies or dietary restrictions, in case the chef decides to use ingredients not listed on the menu.
