I signed up for the annual maintenance plan to save money. He made good recommendations based on my needs and concerns of my allergies. Much appreciated! 2026 update - our heat pump stopped working and needed replacement parts. I paid for them to send a tech to diagnose it and they followed through with the work which is under the 10-year warranty. Tech, Hagen was very nice and professional and made sure to answer all of my questions. Kudos to the office staff, Brittny, Erin and everyone who took my calls while I was eagerly waiting for parts & repair. They treated me very kindly and proactively communicated each step of the way. I had to call them five times before they finally sent someone. Turns out the salesman hadn't secured the door properly, so the safety switch never engaged -- a super easy fix. We had a cold night with small kids in the house and they showed zero urgency fixing a problem they caused. Their quote was also the highest I got. I don't blame the salesman for the mistake, but the company doesn't stand behind their work at all. I'd never use them again and wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

I must say two hours to install a thermostat is more than I thought a professional should take for what I was told by the person answering the phones at Ki, "is a pretty simple job". My electrician seemed to be interested in broadening his skills with fireplace inserts more than just doing what he was hired for and at the end of two hours told me he just cant figure out why the thermostat he installed wasn't working and that I should just call a fireplace insert retailer and have them come figure out what my problem is "they understand these things better than I do" he said. So when I said your going to charge me your full rate even though you will be leaving me right where I was when you got here? He responded with it was my time spent here but let me look it over once more. I must also let you know that during his two hours with my ill mother and I watching his work progress we were given a lesson on his religious points of view, witch my mother and I took with a grain of salt so to speak "being rather private about our religious beliefs", but listened just to keep the work moving any way. Well rounding out his two hour stay he noticed that the power button on the insert was turn on and when he turned it off," the lord has shown me the way" he says. And wrapping up his sermon for the day he brought me my bill with change for the $245.00 fee for hooking up my thermostat. I had previously looked into getting some fans installed in two bathrooms and after looking up 3 companies for quotes I had reached out to them to come by. They were last to visit and after the gentleman show up and stuck his in both bathrooms, he gave me a quote over a $1,000 from the second highest quote! I said thanks but no thanks and instead of leaving, he says let me call my boss and see if he wants to do something about the price. The guy doesn't answer! Now I'm trying not to laugh. He goes well let me call the "big" boss. So this guy answer and the gentleman is telling him that the quote is way too high. Big boss is kind of just stuttering before finding the words he wants to say "well for our price you get the best customer service imagined over a mediocre job performance." If that was your selling point when the customer service you already provided is a D- at best, you're not the company for me. The "mediocre option" we went with were just fine.
