The estimator spent 20 minutes walking the property and identifying the interfaces and measurements required to scope the job. The estimate was midrange compared to competing bids. The installation team consisted of two folks--one senior and one junior. The install job was more complex because it involved conduit running the entire length of the house due to electric panel location versus garage location. The team left no mess, and spent time with me once the job was complete to walk the install and teach me how to use the newly installed charger. The only downside was that the team cannot repair drywall they tear apart, but this was communicated ahead of time. Furthermore they limited damage to the drywall. read more

i want to give a special thanks to Nick Kemper. I talked with their residential manager, Nick Kemper and they gave me a very reasonable and fair price for installation. They actually even saved me money by hardwiring our chargepoint (refer to photos). Also the installation of such things is tax exempt (photo shows tax, but they will remove that once they fill and submit the paperwork for tax exempt from wa state). They don't charge card fees as well, so if you are collecting points, might as well pay with your card. The total came to 1k on my end (that was parts-labor-permit!), with them running wire from my box to the otherside of the garage. If anyone is in the area wanting to get a wall connector installed, please do check them out. Service was amazing and great. I actually will be having them be part of the bidding process when my house goes through remodeling later on this year. Once everything was finished, Skyline crew cleaned up and I had our friend of the family drive their Model X and get it charged. they were surprised at the charge rate holding steady compared to what they have (refer to photo, 38mi consistent). Do not trust the quote they give you! Other companies were much more forthcoming with the total cost of my Tesla charging installation. The total ended up being well over double the estimated cost, despite me giving them fairly accurate numbers on distance to breaker box. When I told their manager that I don't think it's fair to fine print such cost details they simply said "thank you for your perspective" rather than "we'll do our best to make us clearer for future customers." They absolutely must know that they are getting business by presenting a low, inaccurate estimate to win bids over other electrical companies. That's what is known as a bait and switch and they do not care. It was sad because the technician was very kind and talented, but the company he works for was not. read more

When I arranged for installation I mentioned that the distance from the charger to the wall panel was longer than I had initially thought they told me up front what extra electrical conduit would cost per foot - it was less than the other shops quoted me. I've gotten work done by Skyline for a few jobs now. Cleaning up my breaker box and other wiring in the garage, which had some shoddy home-done work by the previous owner, moving switches and outlets in a wall during a kitchen remodel, installing new wiring in my crawlspace for a sump pump, and installing recessed lighting in my kitchen and family room.
