Ordered a savory crepe and beef and potato stew. Both were delicious however be careful about cross contamination if you're highly sensitive to gluten/wheat. We ordered gluten free and the stew came out with a roll when questioned the server said "oh we need to get better at that" they did remove it from the plate with a napkin. They did not change out the platter which the bowl arrived on just left crumbs on top. We did our best with the napkins and covered the space that the bread touched in hopes that we wouldn't experience ill effects. Unsure if they clean the grill/cooking area between batches as the gluten-free crepe did cause some issues immediately after eating. 3. Since first having the most incredible BUREK in Chicago Illinois a few years back, I've been in search of a restaurant that will serve crispy philo- stuffed delicacy near my own neighborhood. I thought my search had ended when I stumbled upon the menu for this crêpe place on Main Street in nearby Beacon, just 11 miles away. WHAT IS BUREK: you may have to Google it but it is a cross between a pastry and a pie: cheeses, veggies, and sometimes meats sprinkled into delicate layers of paper thin pastry, then tucked into round pans and baked in a hot oven. Ideally , the pastry should be delicate and flaky. ITS NOT DIET FOOD. So for my birthday, my grown kids asked what I would like for dinner. I quickly replied, BUREK I placed the order for two " pies"; spinach and feta cheese, and meat and potato. When my son brought it home I could barely contain my anticipation until we lifted the lid of the pizza box. Unfortunately, this boric pastry was completely different than the one I have experienced in Chicago but we decided to give it a try since I believe the owner of the restaurant is from the BALKANS, a region where BUREK is a staple. Because the food had to travel about 20 minutes, I'm giving this four stars because I'm assuming it would be a bit better if dining in at the restaurant which looks adorable.
