They also let me find a quiet corner to nurse my baby in... which was much better than returning to a bench in the busy, public mall walkway. 5 stars! I think the best thing was the nice (pretty) woman that worked there. She made me want to buy lil travel trinkets.. and I did! haha See ya there!

I was undecided between 2 different series of Briggs and Riley pieces. First of all, I was very impressed that they carried both series and had them on display. Zac was very knowledgeable and demonstrated all the features. He listened to everything I had to say and understood what was important to me. Zac helped me select other pieces that I thought would be useful and I can honestly say, I am beyond thrilled with my purchases. I am very happy that I decided to go to Travel Outfitters. I can't imagine ever wanting to shop anywhere else for luggage. The service and selections were outstanding. It was a great experience and I love my new luggage.

I had a fantastic shopping experience at this outlet store. I was there with my buddy who travels…read moreincessantly for his job and manages to cycle through luggage pretty regularly. It just so happens that I was in the market for a better carry-on because I've never invested in a respectable "rollie". For some reason, the carry-on has been an afterthought and I've tended to just repurpose a backpack or gym bag/duffle. (I realize there is some debate about how to properly or slangily refer to a "wheeled suitcase" or "trolley bag", but I'm going with "rollie"... Anyhow, you know what I'm talking about.) What caught my eye was the hybrid backpack/rollie offerings they had at this Samsonite store. The siren song of a sizeable purple beauty called to me. I am a sucker for anything dark purple in color (which may explain my swanky bedroom color scheme), so I sometimes have lapses in judgement when I spy something in my favorite royal shade. This was one of those times. The salesperson, Lisa, cautioned me against that particular model because it was, in fact, larger than the airline guidelines for overhead luggage. If she hadn't stepped in to let me know, I can only imagine the buyer's remorse I would have experienced when discovering at the airport that I would have to check this bag! Fortunately, this store had another backpack/rollie hybrid that did abide by the proper dimensions for carry-on luggage. Alas, my purple dreams were dashed... But I was more than satisfied with my purchase. It even featured a deployable zipper-up feature to cover the wheels when you decide to carry it as a backpack. No dirty wheel track filth shall mar this traveler's butt, I say! This feature was also explained to me by Lisa, as it wasn't completely obvious from initial inspection of the luggage piece. The other beautiful part about this shopping experience was that, in addition to Lisa's expert guidance, the price at this outlet store was 30% off compared to the retail price. That's a savings of $51 off of a $170 sticker price! My wallet (and my butt) thank you, Samsonite!

Shoutout to Angel, she was incredibly helpful and attentive with an issue with my suitcase. She was able to resolve the issue in the store without requiring the suitcase to be sent out for repair.

I've been a loyal TUMI customer for years and have probably bought 12-15 TUMI bags. I've always…read morethought of TUMI as a premium, "buy it for life" brand. My recent experience at the Scottsdale Fashion Square store has really made me question that. I went in to get a monogram tag done on a backpack I was gifting to a friend and employee of mine who was in town from India. It was time-sensitive because I planned to give it to him in person before he flew back home that day. From the moment I walked into the store, the vibe was extremely cold and snooty--10/10 on the "you're wasting our time" scale. Not friendly, not welcoming, just indifferent and condescending. While trying to remove the tag, the associate/manager actually damaged it. The bag then had to be sent out for repair, which immediately ruined my plan to give the gift that day. It got worse: soon after they sent it out, I received an automated email saying I owed about ~$65 for the repair--on damage that their own employee caused. No one reached out to clarify, apologize, or reassure me that TUMI would take responsibility. I had to spend my own time calling and chasing this down. In the end, this "simple" monogram request turned into: -- Hours of calls and emails dealing with billing, the repair, and poor communication. -- A long trip out of my way to the Scottsdale store, and then another drive to a completely separate luggage repair location even farther from where I live to pick up the bag. -- Having to reshuffle and cancel parts of my already busy schedule to babysit a situation that should have been handled smoothly by a supposed luxury brand. -- Missing the window to give the gift in person before my employee flew back to their home country. Now I have to pay for international shipping and customs/duties so he can receive it there--an unnecessary and expensive consequence of how this was mishandled. The bag was eventually repaired, but the overall experience was stressful, time-consuming, costly, and completely misaligned with the idea of "premium service." At no point did I feel that anyone truly owned the mistake or made a meaningful effort to make it right. I've spent a lot with TUMI over the years and used to recommend them regularly. After this experience with the Scottsdale Fashion Square store, I'm seriously reconsidering the brand altogether and looking at other options. Luxury prices with condescending service and poor communication is not a combination I'm willing to keep paying for.

Have you seen the tv ads for the Miche handbags, the one with the interchangeable outer shell?…read more Well if you saw it on tv or online here is your chance to see (and buy) one in person. Go to BEYOND BAGGAGE, located at the Paradise Valley Mall. This store is located right outside of Dillards Department Store and they have a great selection of both the "regular" size Miche bag as well as the new larger size (and also interchangeable) bag. Seeing the bags in person, checking out the quality, understanding how the outside shell can be quickly changed was awesome! The store has a nice collection of bags for purchase. Sorry, I was kind of in a rush when I was there so I'm not 100% certain of price - but I believe the regular size bag is $49.95 and additional shells are $29.95, but go see for yourself. I'm going back to make a purchase but deciding on which one I want might take a while!

I was also window shopping, looking for a replacement of my trusty carry-on bag. The bags that would fit the bill were all pretty pricey. When asked for some help, it was like I was talking to a pillar. The fellow behind the counter couldn't have been less helpful. I asked if he had any luggage tags, He said no. When I browsed around the store, in fact, there were some hanging on the back side of a display right in the center of the floor. I took this item, marked $3.50, to the counter. The man handed me two singles back as change. This store employee couldn't have cared less. His service didn't even rise to the level of "awful." They'll never see me again.
