My main concern was the exhaust as the muffler was damaged and leaking. I mentioned this to the owner and he told me he's got to make the car safe first and do what he could for the rest. He said if he fixed too much and asked too much the insurance co. may total loss it. I asked for a new muffler because they were billing the insurance for a new replacement. He said they'd just give me a used one they had. I said "what about aftermarket new"? Told me it would sound horrible and be no good unless I spent way too much on a high end one. After a couple weeks they told me it would probably be ready the next day at closing time so they wouldn't need to extend my rental. I showed up at closing to confirm ready then had to return the rental. They also told me on the phone to make sure I bring the remaining balance payment. Upon picking up the car I noticed the bumper was the old one just banged out and still dented. They said they couldn't find a replacement. They sure charged me for a new one though! The battery was also dead. It was a new and fine interstate before I brought it to them. I asked if this had just happened and they said no its been dead. They left the headlight switch was in the on position. I asked how am I supposed to leave and they suggested I tow it. I got them to jump it so I could drive home and then had to buy a new battery. Muffler was also hacked and welded together poorly because they couldn't bend the pipe or it didn't match to bolt on. Looks worse than before. I came here because I wanted my car to be repaired to the shape it was at least. Instead I got a trunk that doesn't close without slamming, an ugler bumper and muffler, a dead battery and 2 weeks of my time wasted. They ran up the insurance bill and did as little as possible.

My car was in a hit-and-run a few months ago so I needed some repairs done. After multiple quotes…read morewith wide ranges, ranging from $1300 to $3500, I was at a loss. Those huge differences made me hella skeptical about body shops, especially those at the higher end - $2,200 difference. In the end, I went with JAT Auto Body via my dad's recommendation. David was helpful and gave me an excellent quote that is even lower than the lowest quote I got before. Quite honestly, I'm a bit skeptical. At that low price, will I be getting a shoddy job? Well, for the price I paid, I think JAT did the best they could. I got my bumper replaced and got places buffed. I don't have a lot of complaints. I'm not much of a car person. As long as they can repair it to make it look 90-99% pre-accident, I'm pretty satisfied. Other shops said that for my repairs it'll probably have to be in the shop for 5 business days. David's like "just bring it in the morning and I'll get it done for you within a day." He wasn't joking. I left the car at 8:30am when they opened and he gave me a call at 5pm, same day, telling me that my car is ready. Again, for the price and how quickly I got serviced (money saved on rental), I can't complain even if they can't get my car to brand spanking new. David knows English, but it's not that great over the telephone. When I called to asked if I can take my car in, he just kept going, "What?" I thought I dialed the wrong number. I switched to Cantonese and that made the conversation go smoother. Hopefully you speak either Cantonese/Mandarin or know someone who does. If not, just go in in-person. UPDATE: So the day I picked up my car (same-day service!) I noticed some areas didn't get fixed all the way. At first I didn't pay much heed since the price I paid was below $1,000 when everywhere else quoted me upwards of $1300. I just asked David if anything can be done to improve it. David said just bring it back tomorrow and we'll see what the auto tech can do since he had already left for the day. I took my car back to JAT the next morning and holy crap! They managed to buff out my bumper and fixed some scratches. Now my car looks almost like I first drove it off the lot when I first bought my car!
