He explained every step along the way and, as scary as any dental work can be, he made this my best dental experience yet. I hated my previous filling and how obvious it was on my front tooth. This office has served me twice now in a few weeks, I definitely recommend and will be changing dentist and here's why. The staff from day one has all made me feel like family, from squeezing me in last minute to updating me when earlier appointments open up. I have only received this type of care from one of my previous dentist out of the ten or so I have used since I was a child. A large front tooth filling was showing its age after 30 years and he suggested correcting the color to restore it to the original matching color. I did not take care of my teeth for a long time and went to Dr. Melander on a recommendation earlier this year. I have had many experiences with dentists over the years and have gotten shoddy work at worst and judgmental comments at best. My time at Enamor has been the best experience with a dentist I've ever had. The office is clean and modern, staff is super nice and seems to care a lot. Dr. M is detail-oriented and even though he is surely super busy he never shows it. I have never felt rushed or like my teeth weren't the most important teeth in the office. Also, the quality of his work is superb. Most importantly, for people who are afraid of the dentist or did not go for a long time like me: the team NEVER judges you or makes you feel bad. I can't speak to the payment side of things much but I will say that the team is very aware of the financial impact of dental treatment. Normally, I am a dentists dream -- nice teeth, no real problems. Well, in June 2020 a tooth that had been bothering me for a few months became abscessed (at the time, I thought I could outlast the Covid drama...). I did not like my previous dentist so I did my research to find the best one I could who took my insurance. Well, I found the best of the best! I had two old crowns (from another dentist about 30 years ago) that I waited too long to address. I was blessed to find Dr Bjorn Melander and the staff at Enamor Dentistry. Between June 2020 and February 2021, I had a root canal, two crowns, two extractions and a deep cleaning (I had never had a root canal or non-wisdom-tooth extraction before). Also, in case all this work was not enough, I was dealing with a personal loss and Dr Melander and his staff were so compassionate. That was not their job... that is who they are as people. Oh, and it was cool that Dr. Melander could make an exact duplicate of my current crown in his office in a couple hours. No temporary crown. No second visit. And the crown fit perfectly the first time with no tweaking needed. Amazing! So, when I say that I know Dr. Melander's work, I speak with recent and extensive knowledge. I am so happy my mouth is healthy and taken care of by the best. I don't anticipate needing anything more than maintenance now, but if something else does happen, there is no one in the valley I trust with my teeth and gums more than Enamor Dentistry. read more

My wife and I have been coming here for a couple of years. We've always received outstanding care here. Very professional and courteous from all the staff. I recently had a crown fall off and they were able to squeeze me in on my way to the airport! The work was absolutely spot on as always with great attention to detail so things are done right the first time. Replacement crown better than the first crown and done in office! We choose this dentist because we lived right across the street and could walk there. However, I'm super scared of doctors, needles and any procedures. It had been far too long for an appointment but after one of us went, the other did too and now we love the experience. The Dr is always funny, calming, patient and professional. He signed us both up for a dental plan and saved a lot. We definitely got our money worth with it for our cleanings and even a wisdom tooth that needed to be pulled. I was billed for something that was supposed to be covered by my insurance. On my next visit, I spoke with the receptionist, who spoke with Dr. Bjorn, and they agreed to write off the charge due to a miscommunication. Billing errors happen and I was pleased with the original resolution. However, the office did not stay true to what they said. The charge remained on my account. They called me to collect and I had to remind them that we agreed that the charges would be written off. At that point the woman that called said she would confirm with the dr and they never called again. Fast forward, I moved out of AZ and must have flagged the Enamor Dentistry emails as junk. I received an email this week saying that they were going to be sending me to collections. I replied to remind them (again) of the agreement to write off the charge. Their response is why I am writing this review. They DID write off the charge (great), but then proceeded to blame me by saying they had sent previous invoices. Really? "We have sent several statements with no response." First of all, if they were mailed to my home, they would have been forwarded to my new address. Second, how many times do I need to resolve the same issue? It is not the patient's responsibility to keep accurate files, it's the office's. Also, be prepared to have their political beliefs pushed on you. My hygienist insisted on speaking about the social unrest that was taking place at the time. She went on and on about her racist views, all while her tools were in my mouth. Finally, when I had a chance to speak, I politely asked her to stop talking about this topic, but instead she questioned why I disagreed with her because she didn't understand and kept talking about it for the entirety of my cleaning. I am so happy with Enamor Dentistry! The staff is super friendly, organized and excellent at communicating scheduled appointments as well as setting expectations with out of pocket costs. They have equipment in the office to make crowns which meant I was able to get my broken crown replaced in one visit instead of living with a temporary and coming back for a second visit to get a permanent. Dr. Melander has excellent attention to detail in his work and also has great bedside manners. He let me know what he was doing during each step of my visit, which I really appreciated. With 25+ years of experience working in dental offices, trust me when I say I know what to look for in a good dentist. I recently moved to Scottsdale and had a dental emergency. I live close so walked in to check out the office after researching their website. My first impression was of a clean, modern office as I was greeted with a friendly smile by Sarah. She was enthusiastic about Dr. Melander's skills and knowledge, which I know is a good sign. I explained my dental problem and was set up with an appointment within 48 hrs. Dr. Melander has a very friendly and easy going manner that puts the patient right at ease. He is not pushy and gives the patient options. His attention to to detail is impressive. He doesn't skip steps or take short cuts and makes sure the dental procedures are completed precisely and correctly. I am very happy with his work. The equipment, instruments, digital imaging and computer applications are state-of-the-art. All pre-appointment paperwork was completed online. He was so nice and attentive and super easy to talk to. We discussed my teeth, my job, and Deadpool. He took some photos and X-rays and even did my cleaning himself. He was very hands on and knowledgeable. We came up with a plan for my teeth and he wasn't pushy or trying to upsell me. I've never had an experience like this at a dentist office before. I came to Enamor Dentistry looking for some relief from dental pain that I had been having for several months after I had a crown put in. My old office tried a few times to correct the bite for me but it wasn't successful and there was nothing else that they could do for me. Dr. Melander was able to identify the problem in my first visit and correct it and I am so happy to be finally pain-free! 5 star treatment is an understatement! I just moved to Arizona and needed a new dentist in the valley. Scheduling and the online electronic submission for new patient paperwork before the first visit were super easy. Dr. Melander had trained at UMKC in Kansas City, so I knew it was one of the best in the region. I was able to do my routine cleaning and filled a chipped tooth all in one day. I went in for Invisialign which I ultimately decided to do after much shopping at several Dentists and Orthodontists. Dr. Melander laid out a detailed treatment plan which went far beyond any other Orthodontist or Cosmetic Dentist I have seen. Both the Dr. and Sarah the Office Manager(Hygienist) are genuinely nice people and it can be seen in the customer service seen provided at this office. They also while being in North Scottsdale have the best Invisalign prices I have found anywhere and I have shopped around. I drove a hour and 15 minutes to go to the office and it is more than worth the drive. This is a very nice modern office. It even has a massaging patient chair. read more

I found Dr. Melander on the recommendation of a friend. I had a previous filling that had come loose and the cavity had expanded pretty deep. Dr. Melander showed me on both X-ray and through some new fiber optic views and explained in detail what was going on and what my choices were. This was all new to me and very very professional. He took the time to explain everything and was transparent in his thoughts and treatment options. I feel as though a lot of dentists would have pushed me towards a root canal and crown, but we were able to get just the crown done without the need of an extra painful, stressful, and expensive experience. Not to mention I had all of this done, the initial consultation, and the crown within about 2 weeks of me first looking into addressing it. The crown was done in office and I was able to have everything done, the preparation, the making of the crown, and the fitting all within a couple of hours. Fantastic experience all around. I needed some fillings and was able to get it all done immediately. While watching netflix!! Dr. Milander has a way of making you feel at home and comfortable. I have had a lot of problems with my teeth pretty much all my life, thanks DNA. I have therefore been through a lot of dentists. None of them got reviews but Dr. Melander stands out. I called and let the woman who answered the phone know that I was uncomfortable and needed to get in sooner than later. I was surprised that Dr. Melander himself got on the line and asked me some questions, once he heard experiencing discomfort and then was able to fit me in the next day! Even though he was busy he still took the time for me and was thorough. Usually when they say you might feel a little sting you know to say your prayers! Their Groupon Invisalign deal is a total scam. This is our story. My girlfriend needs teeth adjustment and their "Groupon deal" caught our eyes. I made the call to make an appointment and their office manager sounded like they "desperately" wanted us to make an appointment for consultation, and they could accommodate us on the next day. I was surprised how slow their business was, because most dental office would take much longer than that to make an appointment. At the consultation, the dentist pointed out that my girlfriend needed some dental work before she could wear Invisalign and evaluated the case. The dentist told us clearly that the treatment plan will be two rounds with approximately 32 trays. The total treatment time will take more than 12-month. We agreed with the dentist because that is what the Invisalign website says for Invisalign Full and also other dentist said for my girlfriend's case. So we decided to do Invisalign Full at their office. At the follow-up appointment, my girlfriend got all the dental work done and paid $200 deposit for Invisalign. Two weeks later, we got a call from their office said that my girlfriend will only need 14 trays for the first round and another 10 trays for the second. I questioned the dentist why there has been fewer trays and reduced treatment time. It turns out that they are not using Invisalign Full, instead, they are using Invisalign Lite which will cost much less than the Full treatment. Invisalign Lite is not the right service that we required. When I continue to question their office, their office manager gave me a shitty face and bad attitude. They told me that don't care if we do Invisalign with them and said to me to find a different dentist. This place is super unprofessional and rude. Don't be fooled with their Groupon deal. read more

Dr. Melander custom-designed a new implant crown for a very tight area in the back of my mouth and I could not be happier with the outcome. The crown fits so well and looks great. The color matches perfectly my surrounding teeth and the shape is absolute perfection. Dr. Melander took time to ensure my bite was properly adjusted after the placement and that I can continue flossing all teeth in this and surrounding area without any issues. Very impressed!! They treated my daughter with extreme care and patience. Getting to watch Netflix and sit in a massage chair really helped to calm her down with her fears and anxiety of the dentist. If ever she was in pain they paused and would help make adjustments so that she would no longer be in pain. They took many breaks for her and fully understood her need for them.
