3/22 re: Treatment moving forward (as referred by Dr. Bayer, HER plan per handwritten note)…read moreI wanted to touch base with you now that I have had a chance to converse with Dr. Duval regarding treatment of your lower left, specifically tooth #19.  He is recommending you treat this tooth with endodontic therapy to clear up the infection.  I agree with his diagnosis and feel that at your scheduled appointment on the 29th, I am comfortable moving forward with a crown on #18, with nothing further on #19 until that treatment with Dr. Duval is completed. Dr. Bayer lied to me about McClammy being retired (originally referred BY Raintree Dental), in order to get me in front of a man "she had worked with for some time". A man who would lie to your face to take your teeth, Dr. Ryan Duval. (a 'consult' walked-out on) THE TOOTH WAS NEVER INFECTED; IT ONLY REQUIRED A FILLING. (Nor did #18 need a crown.) Dr. Bayer refused to treat the tooth ("nothing further", until KILLED), putting the tooth at risk. "She will smile in your face as she tells you to kill perfectly good teeth."

Since I couldn't get a response from them, Dr. Bayer squeezed me in on her lunch, on NYE! She went above and beyond to fix what they had done to hold me over. She was skilled and extremely thorough. She took the time to show me photos and explain everything so I could fully understand what was going on in my mouth. Needless to say, I will be going to Dr. Bayer moving forward. I'm so grateful I've found a dentist who I can trust to do the right thing, the right way. Thank you Dr.Bayer and your team!

I received a call from Advanced Dentistry yesterday telling me I owed money ($200) from an…read moreappointment I had over 2 years ago for a cleaning. I had had no previous contact from them. I spent over $12,000 with them to get work done that I did not need over 2 years ago. I have delayed writing about this because I wanted the anger to fade so that I could simply be factual. I went in for a cleaning and let them know I was very nervous because I had burning mouth syndrome and my mouth was very sensitive. I mentioned to the doctor that I would like a few small chips smoothed out. Instead, because he had a cancelation, he convinced me to get "Veneers". I agreed only because I had read it was a non - invasive procedure. Instead I got 6 crowns and was traumatized as he drilled my front teeth down to stubs. I had very beautiful, straight teeth prior to the procedure. My father had been a dentist. I was in shock and so overwhelmed and felt so taken advantage of for his greed. I cried for hours after I left. My husband could not understand how I sat through hours of drilling in my weakened condition. I felt absolutely violated by this procedure that I did not need or want. And they did get paid their $12,000 and no one ever called to see how I was feeling afterward so you can only imagine how it feels to get a call now asking for $280 they forgot to bill me for the cleaning.

After going through all the intake paperwork and providing my insurance information, the dentist then told me he was only a general dentist and could not help with the treatment I needed. That would have been frustrating enough, but they still charged both me and my insurance a total of $250 ($50 copay and $200 insurance payment) for a visit that provided no actual care or solution. When I raised the issue, their response was that they "used to have a periodontist, but he left years ago," and that they cannot control what appears on healthcare websites. While that may be true, they can absolutely control being honest when a patient clearly states the type of specialist they need. Instead, they allowed the appointment to proceed, then charged for a service they knew they could not provide. Very disappointing experience.

He referred me to a great endodontist to confirm my old root canals were still holding up before we proceeded with crowns. Good thing we did because we did need to redo one. I came back a week later for temporary crowns (which looked amazing), then two weeks after that we put my permanent crowns on. I have my wedding coming up this weekend and I'm elated that we were able to get all this work done beforehand. I have the most beautiful smile and so much gratitude for the Kind Family Dentistry Team. Dr. Kovacik does impeccable work, all of the hygienists are knowledgeable and kind, and Beth at the front desk makes my day, she is so positive and welcoming. Get it in writing UP FRONT! Don't trust verbal statements!…read more Client for several years. Made appt for a crown. Cost $285 with my insurance for a lab made crown, or over $1,000 for a same day CERAC crown. I opted for a lab crown. Went in for appt and the Dental Assistant tells me I can get the CERAC crown, for the same price as the lab made crown, $285. Was told the CERAC is done in less than 2 hours, AND it incudes a 5 year same office warranty that the lab crown does not include. Yes, the exact same price, with a 5 year warranty. I was out in under 2 hours with my new CERAC crown. On April 24, 2026, I emailed the office to ask for a copy of the 5 year warranty. I got no reply for 5 days, so on April 29, I emailed again, saying that one of the selling points was the 5 year warranty, and there had to be something I could get in writing about it. Bernice calls me and says that because I paid the same for the CERAC, as the lab crown costs, I was not entitled to the 5 year warranty. I explain to Bernice the Dental Assistant used the 5 year warranty as a benefit to me of getting that crown. Bernice, said it doesn't apply to the discounted price. Bernice said she would talk to the Dental Assistant and call me back. On May 5, I called and asked for Bernice. Christian said she was busy, but he knows every detail about what happened. He told me he was aware of what I was told, the Dental Asst confirmed that she DID tell me the 5 year warranty was included, however, they would not be honoring the 5 year warranty because even though she, "made a mistake", I didn't pay for the warranty and therefore it would not be honored for me. No apology. Christian repeated that I didn't pay for a warranty and I wasn't getting one. No apology. He was saying, yes we offered you a warranty, INCLUDED with the price of the CERAC crown, BUT we admit we made a mistake and we refuse to honor that mistake, even though there is no financial loss to our business because if something were to go wrong with that crown in the future, we would bill it through your insurance anyways, and we could just write off your 20% co-pay. I asked if Dr. Miaoulis was aware of the situation, and what I was being told. I truly didn't think Miaoulis would approve the way it was being handled because I know he is a shrewd business person, but Christian surprised me by saying the Dr. was fully aware and he wasn't going to honor the warranty, even though his personnel screwed up. No apology. It seemed the calmer I was in trying to rationalize with Christian, how bad of a business decision this was, even saying that I'm not yelling, I'm not swearing, I'm not making threats, it was making me not want to come back and to let others know, Christian got more irritated and then he said, Dr Miaoulis is willing to offer a 1 year warranty on that crown for you. So, why wasn't that mentioned at the start? You wait until I imply I won't be back and that I'll leave a review about this experience, before throwing out a 1 year warranty that Miaoulis allegedly had already approved? I told Christian it's unfortunate something which likely wouldn't have cost them anything, assuming nothing happens to the crown over the next 5 years, will cost them a good client who will now let others know about this situation, which may result in someone choosing to not go there, with the result being a loss to that office of more than what the warranty would have cost. Christian said he was sorry it came to that but he understood my feelings and I should do whatever I needed to do. Pretty arrogant, in my opinion. The loss of my next visit alone, not counting the lost future years of revenue, exceeds whatever non-costs from offering the warranty would have been incurred. For the next patient it happens to, start by making a genuine apology for the mistake your business made. Take ownership and don't blame the patient. Then, immediately offer the best alternative option. Don't wait until the patient says they won't be back to throw out an olive branch that you could have started with, allegedly.

Since I waited too long to replace a lost filling I risked loosing my tooth. Dr Anderson and her assistant gave me exceptional care. I opted for the nitrous oxide for $140 extra and it was great. She saved my tooth with a root canal and I am grateful. The doctor was friendly informative and witty. She was a real person who was very supportive towards the young assistant. She is the official endodontist for the Phoenix Suns. I felt so well cared for and I highly recommend Dr Anderson endodontist.

But they tried to charge my over $1000 to fix the mistake they made, and at the time I no longer had insurance. So instead the doctor decided to put TWO posts into my molar along with filling. He told me this should last a year until I get insurance. I went to another dentist to take a look at it and he said he hasn't seen something like this since the 90's and this was extremely negligent. Also there is now a lesion under the tooth that is becoming quite severe. I explained this to the staff and let them know I had dental X-rays taken just six months ago. Despite this, the dentist refused to perform even a basic cleaning unless I agreed to new X-rays. I felt that my concerns, my pregnancy, and my physician's recommendation were completely dismissed. I understand that every office has its own policies, but there should be some flexibility and consideration for pregnant patients, especially when recent X-rays are already on file. I left without receiving the cleaning I had scheduled and was very frustrated by the lack of accommodation and understanding.
