Delicious food, friendly service, good vibes. Yummy spongy injera (the rolls you see). Tons of good vegetarian options and tons of meat options for the meat eaters. My favorite was the yellow and red lentils. We got the full 10 vegetarian combo plate and 4 chicken dishes. Not too spicy, which is something I struggle with at some Ethiopian dishes as a total lightweight. Everyone loved the beets. Another thing: this place has fresh food! the last Ethiopian place (different restaurant) I ate prior was dripping in oil. This place was not dripping in oil and I left feeling full and happy. It was tasty. Not too experienced w/ Ethiopian cuisine & while I have liked all I've tried, I noticed that the flavors here seemed to be a little more... flavorful than some other places, particularly the reddish meat dishes (wot something). That's not too say anything was spicy or very wild flavor wise, I think Ethiopian food is something ur white gramma could handle (as long as u can convince her to eat w/ her hands). The flavors are always very mild & comforting. They have the sample platters here so you can try a bit of everything (2 person or family size) which is usually the way to go for me but if you want one of the specific things they have entrees too. I also appreciate they add a little fresh scoop of lettuce/tomatoes to add a bit of crunch/freshness bc my one complaint about the Ethiopian food I've tried is that everything is kind of a soft (I don't wanna say mushy but...) texture so it's nice to change it up a bit. The lentil sambusas were a hit! Highly recommend. I got the combo plate and the served kindly did half beef and half chicken. I really enjoyed the chicken entree and would other that again. Excellent choice for Ethiopian food. There was a separate VEGAN section on the menu, which I really appreciate. There's a vegan "sampler" with 5 different choices on the injera. I told the waiter I was vegan, and he just said "I'll set you up!" It was perfect and delicious!! Like many other reviewers have said; it's a VERY friendly establishment. This was my first experience with Ethiopian food, so I don't have much to go off of. We ordered the chicken and beef tibs. The meat was delicious, very flavorful and tender. Now, I don't know what injera normally tastes like but it almost ruined the dish for me. It was very sour and overpowering. I am completely aware that their injera may be the gold standard and it's just not for me though so take my opinion for what it's worth. I would happily go back and avoid the injera altogether and just enjoy the meat dishes. I will also add that if you genuinely have trypophobia, you may struggle with the injera. Overall, I learned a lot about Ethiopian food and I'm willing to give it another go, with some minor adjustments. read more

I don't even know where to begin this review because I have been coming to this place since 2015ish and my only complaint is that pre-COVID it would take a bit longer than most places for food to come out.
