The trail was nice, shady and everyone riding their bikes on the trail were very friendly and would wait for you to pass. We rode Moonshine and Dude and they were both great. The horses know the way and follow your guide, so it's great for beginners. There's also parking in site, and our guide took photos for us while we were on the trail. The trail was beautiful: shady sections, little creeks to cross, gentle up-and-down hills, and tons of lush green scenery all around. We passed several bikers and hikers, and every single one was super respectful of the horses and politely gave us the right of way. The horses themselves were awesome. calm and steady, with just the right amount of playful sass to keep it interesting. We left smiling and already talking about coming back. Andrea has been nothing short of AMAZING! She is very experienced and knowledgeable, and allows you to move and grow at your own pace. She has been incredibly flexible with my schedule, and she has always been very prompt to reply when I contact her. I love that she allows me to arrive early to take my time to get my horse ready. I never feel rushed when working with her. She is very patient and kind with her teachings. I cannot believe more people do not know about this hidden gem and incredible instructor right here in north Duarte! I am now taking 2 riding lessons a week with Andrea, and I am learning so quickly and having so much fun all at the same time. She really cares about the safety of her horses and riders, and she instills a ton of knowledge upon you about her craft as well. She always makes me feel safe when I am riding, and that was something that was very important to me. I haven't done vaulting in 15 years, this was so much fun, I do yoga so it helped for sure because vaulting is a mix of acrobatics and riding. Kathy & Liz were our guides and my horse was Eros. They give you a helmet to wear on the ride and then help you up on the horses & start the ride. My friend has many horses of her own he was falling through the cracks knots in his main and dirty. I immediately took to him every day 30miles one way to bond with him. Even my friend offered to bord him for free as kind as that is I felt my horse SUN-DANCE Wasnt happy. it was kind of a sad barn. I looked into other barns I felt having him closer would be best. I found Three oaks immediately. One tour with the owners was great. I moved my horse. With in 5 days being at this beautiful barn the help and other horse borders so helpful and nice . My horse lives up to his name he plays runs endlessly in the sun. I see such a different in my horse .boarding him free was a nice offer BUT not worth his health and happiness. Its worth every penny to know he loves his NEW home.
