I went for breakfast with my friend and it was so crowded so we sat outside. It took a while for the waitress to come get our order she said because it was cold so she told us to talk fast. WOW! Then she gave us the bill and didn't come back so my friend and I went inside to pay but first we went to the restroom. They told us they thought we left without paying WOW!!! How RUDE! Good old-school type of diner breakfast place. Came here for brunch with some old friends. We wanted an old-school feel, and it's what we got. Although nothing AMAZING or GROUNDBREAKING, it does have really nice portions. Old fashioned decor and kinda awkward space inside. However, I really enjoyed the food we had here recently. Love the chocolate pancakes -- great kids meal option. I've had their Acai bowl twice and it's a nice refreshing treat. The first time though, the diced mangos did not seem as fresh as I would have liked, but everything else was good. Try the banana walnut pancakes and banana walnut bread - they look good, taste GREAT! And they come WITH your regular meal so there's no way you will leave hungry. I got my fave corned beef hash with eggs and the banana walnut bread as a side, which was delicious, but I coveted my friend's banana walnut pancakes and ate a bunch of hers as well. I really enjoy each visit to the cafe. The employees are always cheerful and treat us in a very friendly manner. After my first visit years ago, Bubbles has remembered me and my family and treats us like old regulars. The food is good quality dependable diner fare. Breakfast is outstanding and is our go to whenever we have guests in town. The Benedict's are all good and the oatcakes are more than hearty. Quaint little cafe. They only had one restroom with one stall. Our party of 8 didn't take long to be seated at 9:45am on a Sunday. Turkey open face sandwich was very tasty, Turkey meat moist and tender, not dry at all. Mimosa was ok, could be stronger. One of my daughters really enjoyed her cinnamon rolls French toast. Stopped in this morning for a quick breakfast after scoping out the yelp reviews. We were kind of in a hurry and decided to select this restaurant over 101 cafe across the street due to no wait. We had a seat at the bar right next to the kitchen and we were helped right away. They have great coffee by the way. We ordered and then waited... And waited... And waited. It seemed as though they were having some trouble with the kitchen and were a bit backed up. Our waitress did a decent job of keeping us informed but next time Id probably select another seat as the bickering at the kitchen kind of got to me. Our food did come out and it was awesome. I got the special with French toast which was perfect and my boyfriend got an omelet with bacon, sausage and cheddar cheese with a pancake and home fries. He really enjoyed the omelet, loved the pancake but wasn't too impressed with the home fries but I thought they were quite tasty. Three of us meet their for lunch.I had never been their before my friend had been there several times before even new the previous owner she made a remark so I see he passed.Not to impress with the decor it needs some TLC. We order coffees and waters i asked for nondairy creamers for my coffee she brought 3 I said to my friend I guess that means only one cup of coffee I normally will add three to four creamer per cup and I normally will have several cups of coffee.Ask for water and straw only got the water no straw had to get her attention to get her to bring me the straw.
