Stayed for two nights. Check in was quick and easy. Very large park, thankfully we were escorted to our site. It's a mix of RV's and small homes. Nice pool area however it was closed. Not sure why. Bathrooms clean but could use some updating. Water levels of pond or lakes very high. Could see a potential problem for flooding. Located right off of 75 with easy access back on which was very convenient. read more

This is an old run down RV park that is mixed use of permanent and seasonal use sites combined with rental sites. Most of the rental sites do not have concrete pads and most of the concrete pads are broken. The grounds are unkept. And we found that when there was a problem, the after hours phone line was not answered. The residential permanent sites of the park is nice, the rental sites are not. Some sites had pads others were ground and not level. The so called security was non existent. We complained there was broken glass at our campsite. Management did send some workers to clean up. We had to buy a carpet at Home Depot to avoid our dog cutting his feet. This is by far the worst campsite we have encountered in the last 5 years. read more

This is our 3rd stay here in the last year, and we really love it! Staff is friendly and usually quick to take care of issues on the site. We have a large Class A motorhome, and have had some beautiful spots right on the golf course. It's peaceful, and we love all the birds. We've had some great food at the cantina, and the staff there is so nice!! read more

We've been coming to Clerbrook RV Golf Resort for over 7 years and always felt at home--until management changed about 2 years ago. Now Thousand Trails is placing members in cramped areas with little nature. Thankfully, Lucy--who's been amazing since day one--always goes above and beyond to help us. During our last visit (5/28/25), the park was mostly empty, but we were still assigned a spot that didn't fit. Lucy helped us out again, but sadly, we're now considering finding a new place to relax. It's a real shame--we have so many wonderful memories here. read more

Stayed at Clerbrook for over a year in Veranda (careful Veranda has a waste water area with a nasty odor so be careful not to end up by that) we had no problems and enjoyed our time while our property was closing, ignore ppl complaining about management or trash or whatever they're complaining about just enjoy yourself! read more

The staff are 100% friendly, and go out of their way to help. I've actually had my cargo trailer come off its hitch at a speed bump and get stuck under the bumper of my truck. The gentleman working at the gate got someone from the office to take over his "gate duty" and drove off in golf cart to get a hydraulic jack which was sorely needed. 15 minutes later I was road ready! Propane rip off!!!! Propane is dispensed by the size of your tank no matter how much remains in the tank. The office said to fill up when the tank is completely empty!!! Half a meal cooked or all soapy in the shower when propane runs out!!! CRAZY. It's never been like this before read more

We have stayed here for 3 winter seasons and This is probably our last. We have a premium site and they move in a trash compactor and 2 garbage cans within steps. Ok I get garbage has to be removed but put them somewhere that the 6 sites around it doesn't have to hear it run 24 hours a day. The real problems seems to be that management will tell you what you want to hear when asking to help resolve the problem but as soon as the conversation is over they take absolutely none of the action that they promise. When there is a problem in one of the clubhouses do they solve the problem. Nope they close them indefinitely and make everyone suffer. Management here seem to have a plan but making sure gusts are valued is not part of it. read more

Crowded, unkempt mixed RV-Mobile Home Park. We have a 43 foot 5th wheel, and despite MANY large open sites, they stuck us in a tiny site next the swamp. Fortunately the neighbors offered to move their vehicles to make maneuvering a little easier. Large trees on both sides of the site. The "Ranger" guided us into the site and backed us into tree branches and said "no big deal, they're small". Water pipe burst somewhere in the park, and they shut off the water twice without any notice--we were in the middle of laundry, but fortunately we realized what was happening and shut off washer before there was permanent damage to the machine. People speeding around in golf carts, not paying attention. Dogs barking at all hours of the day. NOT close to grocery store or gas station. One of the worst places we've ever stayed, and we've been full-time for two years. Much prefer Boondocking since their "amenities" were not worth the price. Will never return. read more

This place used to be nice. Not anymore. As soon as we arrived we literally got yelled at by the gate lady who proudly claims the title of "the Bit&@ around here". She said due to Covid we were to stay in our car. She really was THAT nasty. We arrived at our villa 963. It was very cold that week with frost and high temps in the 50's. We never could get the heat pump to work properly. Most times it just did nothing. It never got fixed To heat the place we had to turn in the gas stove more than once. The carpet was filthy. If you put on white socks and walked across it, your socks would be stained brown. REALLY! To make matters worse they would turn the water off at random times. You could be all soaped up with shampoo in your hair and have the water turned off. Cable TV was out most of the time. I think we had no service for something like 12 days. After getting yelled at the gate about not getting out of the car due to Covid, there was little attention to mask rules. Sure there were signs up but no one enforced it. Sinks were clogged. Todd the maintenance man was quick to unclog it. It was packed full of hair and other "stuff" that is typically flushed down a toilet and not forced down a sink. So Todd was about the only good thing. read more

Very Beautiful place that changed management awhile back! Not so sure what this person's qualifications are but running and a beautiful resort into the ground had to top this list! Grabage dumpsters moved on a weekly bases to over flowing over the ground for days. Propane tanks empty for laundry and pool/hot tubs. Dog poop waste bins over following for 4 days in the sun cooking! So very sad for a place that has Encor Thousand Trails name attached to it and honestly a beautiful place turning into a often visited by local police! read more

I have been to this golf resort several times and enjoyed it, however this time was terrible. My friends and I were harassed by the staff member following us to the 1st hole making terribly rude, condescending comments. He became very argumentative with us for no real reason. We didn't even get a chance to hit a ball before getting fed up with the way this staff member was treating us so we left and luckily got our money back from another staff member. Maybe because of "covid" shutdown, we did not have much management contact, while a cleaning staffer did need to find out that children are allowed places there with a parent (or we'd never dream of coming) - but, our experience with management was awesome! In fact, they even called us ahead of camping to see what kind of spot we wanted. A front-gate manager who drives a decorated Tahoe is incredible! Family friendly without a doubt, and she's happy to encourage a treats environment too; couldn't be any friendlier! :) Then, they have a security lady who's a mom; she's serious about security and super friendly too! My family loves staying at Clerbook. Just recently we had to use the laundry facility, and let me tell you this, it is fantastic. The payment system for the laundry machines is very up to date allowing you to use Apple Pay or card, compared to other parks where you have to convert your cash into laundry coins. The new additional of the many vending machines around the property was an amazing idea. Since the park is a little secluded, it's definitely nice to go on a walk and get some refreshments nearby. The one thing I have to note as not being such a good experience is all of the neighbors we get assigned next to us. The last 3 neighbors we had let their dogs shit all over our hoses and sewer line and left it there while another played obnoxiously loud music from 10am-2am. Huge RV park/resort. We asked to be along the golf course. We got our golf course site but it was tight, (we couldn't use our awning and couldn't completely raise our antenna). Our site was beside a long term resident in a park model and we needed a lot of blocks to level our trailer. Yes, we could have asked for a different spot but once unhooked we really didn't want to move. (While walking through the park there were other, more level and wider sites nearby along the course.) We weren't given a map of the park at the time we checked in, the guard saying they had a limited supply. We weren't given any info about the amenities at the park or surrounding area. We were there for 3 days before we were told golf carts were available for rent. The golf course has a lot of water hazards with alligators. Showers and bathrooms needed updating but they were clean. Laundry uses a prepaid card.(You're suppose to get this card upon check-in that is pre-loaded with $5 -- we didn't). Management needs to instruct their check-in personnel better. read more

If I could do zero I would have. I made a reservation 4 months prior to us staying here for the first time. We invited our friends of over 40 years, to stay with us. I reserved a two bedroom cabin for our stay. When we arrived we found they put us in a one bedroom with a pull out couch. My reservation even says 2 bedroom. I was informed that the two bedroom was rented and there was nothing else available. I informed them I had made the reservation precisely for the two bedroom but there was nothing they could do. Due to medical reasons our friends couldn't stay on the couch. They went home after traveling to stay with us. Very disappointed with this Thousand Trail/Encore Resort. Won't be staying ever again here. The only reason we stayed is because we couldn't get our money back. They make sure they have your money first then screw you with the reservation. I like Clerbrook. At the front gate Luci is certainly the best, but the other ladies have come around, very nice and much friendlier than last year. Property is under new management and they take it seriously, they want you happy. I booked for 6 months and I am Loving my spot so far (only been a week) but I have been here several times, have been to a lot of parks and yeah... this is little older and some sites are not as level, but they try and help if you are not happy with the site. It is a huge place so it can be tough to search for the ideal site. It is safe and the guests are always nice! You are in Florida and there are gators, ants and dry humid weather ... so if you need help you'll have to ask! Competitive pricing by Florida standards... it is what it is! read more

The only reason I am giving a two is because the people who camp there are very nice. The golf course is poorly maintained. They changed our lot selection prior to our check in. The lot we got was very uneven. We were there during the C19 mess. They shut down everything even the pools. One door literally fell off the hinges at the laundry room entry area. I asked to leave early. They would not refund any money. They gave some kind of park credit but I can't imagine ever coming back. Oh and there were fire ants on our site. My suggestions, stay at one of the many other campgrounds in the area. The golf is definitely not worth staying. Sorry for the poor review. I want to save someone else the headache we had. read more

We are long term part year residents of Clerbrook RV and Golf Resort. The experiences of first few years had us questioning our decision to make this our winter home, however changes and improvements made by the resort owners and increasing levels of management involvement and oversight have given us satisfaction that we made the right choice so many years ago. We see many of the old derelict mobile homes and RVs are now being removed and the general appearance of the resort has been upgraded. The new management is adamant about cleaning the resort, the park models and RVs and requiring owners to repair and maintain each unit. The pool areas and common areas are very clean and the streets have been repaved. This year the golf course received a tremendous amount of work and improvements, new greens, irrigation system, paved cart paths, new golf carts and putting greens All in all a great place to spent the winter months. We checked pricing and find the rates here are competitive and when considering the amenities offered at CLERBROOK the pricing is quite reasonable. Amenities include a well equipped and operated wood shop, a top level softball field with great food on game days, very active recreation department which hosts many social functions such as happy hours, a cantina with arcade games, corn hole games, horse shoe pits, shuffle board courts, fishing in specific ponds, several fire pits for group gatherings, breakfasts for special occasions, many dinners and dances, puzzle room, well equipped fitness center, mail room for receiving packages and mail, laundry facilities, 3 pools and hot tubs, billiard room, card room, line dancing lessons, music lessons. The list goes on and on but the bottom line is this is a very active and interesting place to stay. There are storage areas for those choosing to not haul their RV back and forth during the off season as well as space to park boats, small trailers, etc. read more

We are not new to camping, but new members to A thousand trails. It was free with our new camper. The only one available in the area for our new membership. This trip was free. I would never pay to camp here! This site 46 should have never been assigned to a 36 ft class A. They are either money hungry or have never seen this site 46 or maybe they don't care. My husband showed his stubbornness and skills to get that camper in under a large oak tree that was an inch ( not kidding either) from knocking off the satellite dish and roof. He was still too far from a small shoddy electrical box I was sure wasn't ours. The shoddy water hook up was on the back opposite of it. He confirmed after a few choice words and yelling thru a cell phone. He got out to confirm it all after the gate lady came to confirm .... with a dryness this was in fact our site and this is our electrical and water And there were no other sites available. Go figure! Well this was a test of marriage and our beautiful new camper is in one piece. The site is dirty. No picnic table no fire rings in site. We were on a main road on the corner. Had lots of car lights and noise. There was a shelter and extra parking across the street. No lighting out on the camp site, to help with parking. The car parked at the permanent residence next door was an obstacle the husband also although a pretty sorts car. read more

We booked an early teetime on the Golf Course. We usually play Clerbrook a few times a year. The course was in horrible shape, it was like golfing on a cow pasture. Tee boxes are over grown, could not even T up your ball. The greens were dirt. What a shame. After 9 holes we decided we were not playing the last 9. Went to pro shop for our money back and it was not pleasant. The manager (Ron) insisted on giving me a raincheck. I told him about the course and he could not understand why we thought it was so bad. During the move-in process the maintenance staff worked swiftly and were very professional when I stopped in to check on progress. Hmmm where do I begin. This place was by far the most dysfunctional establishment I've ever worked at. I worked there briefly before having to turn to a boss for assistance in fixing an unsafe situation with the housekeeping staff. I was soon after highly disappointed by the lack of professionalism and care for new and temporary employees. Tho I enjoyed many of the residents smiles and many kind staff who lived there I realized I needed to remove myself from this mess. I feel for anyone that gets put in a situation where a conversation is needed that involves Lisa. Her lack of empathy and fair leadership is strongly lacking. My prayers to all staff who have been enduring this. I'll be sure to make it known to anyone of importance to me not to contribute to a business that allows this kind of treatment to employees. Nice campground but not close to attractions. If you want to be out in the country this is for you. We are 28 miles from Disney and it was further to Universal, there about another 15 miles. There is no cable or wifi. Although we were told you could get both for a Fee. There are a lot of permanent mobile homes or park style houses. We were assigned a site that was not accessible for a 38 foot fifth wheel. However, we were given a choice of apx. 6 other sites after returning to the gate. We found one that was a back-in. Didn't see any pull-thru sites in our travels around the park. We don't golf but the courses looked well kept. All in all a nice place. read more

I would normally not take away 2 stars for one employee but when I reached out, I got no response so I assume the employee is representing the company the way they want. A few things to note about Clerbrook: 1) Arrival after dark (which is 6:30 or earlier in the winter), means you cannot park. You will not find this in any policy online or what they send you. The front gate will inform you of this when you arrive. Arrive after dark and you park in a parking lot for the evening. 2) The front gate will not tell you where this parking lot is located. They will not give you a map. They will just point and say the lot is marked. It isn't marked. Ask for a map and make her show you where its located. Yes, she will talk to you like you are stupid as she double circles the lot but its the only way you are going to find it. 3) The code for the gate expires on Saturday. The front gate will tell you nothing about the code. If your stay crosses over a Saturday night, you will need a new code every Sunday. Again, the front gate will not tell you this. she will just act surprised your code doesn't work and then give you a code that will expire next Saturday when the process repeats. Why codes expire in the middle of a weekend instead of maybe on a Wednesday or something else, I do not know. The above may seem trivial but it creates a mess that is easily avoided by the front gate having a process that is followed. Offer a map, explain the codes (and possibly give codes that last an entire visit) and by all means communicate your arrival policies in the reservation. This is a resort not small mom and pop. When your code doesn't work and you have to wait behind trailers checking in, its frustrating. When you arrive expecting to park and are told the first time you have to dry camp for the evening because a policy is not communicated, its very frustrating. Then to have a disinterested employee point in a general direction and offer no help ruins the experience. On the park itself, the park is nice. Mostly long time residents but to a person, everyone was nice and friendly. The grounds were well kept and the location near the turnpike was convenient. Easily 5 stars if front gate would care a bit more and to be helpful. To be fair, the other lady that worked the front gate was nice. She just wasn't there when I arrived or had problems with my gate code. Also, if you are going to have policies like no arrival after dark - communicate them clearly. read more

We rented one of the clubhouses for my daughters wedding. We could not have asked for anything better than the staff at Clerbrook. They ALL went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect and helped with everything they said they would and then some. I would recommend Clerbrook to anyone looking for a venue for any occasion. March 2011 We stayed here for a month to golf and visit the theme parks. We expected cable and WIFI. This was not the case. The site that we were given did not have the basic cable installed. We had to make these arrangements ourselves. The people in the office couldn't care less about making our first impressions more positive. The site was infested with Fire Ants and they were everywhere. After one week we had them in the trailer. We asked for a picnic table and were told that we were on the list and its been a month and no table. The golf course was challenging and fun. The problem was that if you were paid up as a member for the month it was tough to get tee times due to many many tournaments. The grounds were awful, the pool was dirty and the toilets and changerooms were disgusting. We were told if we wanted to leave we wouldn't get our money back. Glad that today is moving day!!
