Faulty reservation system and no refund policy. Spent too much time trying to book this place. The automated system they use to book is faulty, by thier own admission(I have the emails). My booking was cancelled twice so I finally called and got a person. I then called 7 days out to cancel booking due to our granddaughters birth. The answering service picked up and said I needed to cancel via email because no manager was available on the weekend. So today I got a response from them stating they have a non refund policy. So there you are. I feel this is very deceptive amd un businesslike. read more

I wouldn't recommend. You share a quarter of the dome with 3 other roommates, and it's always hot as hell. We've called 3-4 times in 2 days about the ac not being on and it being hot and they turn it on for an hour and it's off again for the rest of the day/night. It makes it uncomfortable and near impossible to stay there. Will never come back or recommend it to anyone honestly. read more

We rented a 3 bedroom home over Christmas and were extremely disappointed. Dirty dishes in the cabinet, pool table was missing balls, gas can in the pool room, sheets, blankets and towels old and stained, windows off the tracks, broken furniture, rusty sinks, leaky faucets, dryer didn't work - just trashy. I sent an email to management with pictures and got no response. I've rented several times in there but this one was gross. Won't get me again! read more

Save your money and go elsewhere. Katty and her husband are crooks. They run a terrible business and will try to nickel and dime you with repairs upon move out. The houses are filled with mold, not cleaned or taken care of, pools are disgusting, have broken heaters and lights and will not be repaired. Warning, she will respond to this review with something along the lines of being voted best vacation rental or something to that effect. She paid for that award, and did not earn it. read more

We stayed at #39 Villa. Unfortunately when we got there, the pool was dirty. I had to call 3 times to get the pool cleaned, they dropped a skimmer off, and I guess that was there way of cleaning it. The pool guy finally came and did a sub standard job. We paid extra to have it heated. Using the kitchen was a nightmare. Every time we went to get a dish, pot to use, it was dirty. I had to go out and get bleach, and cleaning items to clean the kitchen utensils, pots. Everything is old and not kept up. The furniture is worn, old and broken. There was more fake flowers on tables then clean tables. The refrigerator had food splattered on the outside of it, as well as the oven. No window coverings looking out to the back and front. We had to fix the internet, as the office wouldn't help. Just horrible experience at a high price per night. read more

We arrived at late at night to find that our key to villa 61 lake Denise didn't work. we called the emergency number and went unanswered until 6ish the next morning. We spent the night in our car waiting for a response from the manager. Katty the manager then sent someone to break into the home. We then had to wait an additional 4 hours to get a key. The manager never called just texted that they would refund me for the night. I emailed her and told her that because I had to work an event sat and Sunday on little sleep and stressed from having to stay In my car that I deserve more of a refund than that night. I was willing to pay for the 4 nights that I was able to enjoy myself. I was told no only the one night that I was locked out would be refunded. It has been 10 days since being told I'd be refunded and I still don't see the credit back yet. Terrible management company read more

Beware! The owners and management post their own reviews on here. The mattresses are yellow and nasty, holes in the bedding, it's uncomfortable and needs a major update! The management blows you off if you have a concern. They send maintenance to fix stuff, but they always have an excuse not to fix it. We are notifying the health department. Pool had no chemicals until week 3 of our stay when it turned green from algae. Save your money and book somewhere else! read more

I would avoid booking with this company at all costs. I booked the Mount Dora - Lake Jem property and paid in full, hoping to go on a week long getaway. I sorted properties by amenities and this home came up. It hit all the marks but it would turn out to be a dud. Listed under Amenities (one of the amenities I sorted by) was a grill. When I reached out to the management company to inquire about the grill I was told, "No grill" I mentioned that the amenities listed a grill and they essentially told me I could use a grill pan on the gas stove and that's why. They also told me I was welcome to bring my own and when I asked why they couldn't just buy one for the property since they advertise having one, they said it was against their insurance and then said I in fact couldn't bring one of my own either. They proceeded to attempt to educate me on the various types of grills and BBQs available. This conversation would be the first of a handful of conversations in which Katty from Swiss Vacation Homes would offer to cancel my stay with a full refund. I declined as we were a week away from our stay. We hit the 3 day mark prior to our stay and I noticed in my paper it said pool heating would be an extra cost but clearly in the property description it stated: Heated Pool (heat pump) - at no extra cost. It was listed as such on the site we booked through but also directly on Swiss Home's vacation site. After pointing this out, I was offered opportunity to pay the full price of heating the pool, or to pound sand, or to cancel my stay yet again. With 3 days left till our arrival, I was not prepared to cancel this stay. A couple of messages later I receive "We just found out the AC is broken. I am truly sorry we have to cancel your reservation" This is a company that manages dozens of properties. They didn't offer to put us in another property or any sort of resolution. It was a very deliberate act because apparently when you drop 3k on a whim for a week of staying at a house, you should have no expectation that the property management company will have the amenities as advertised. I attempted to reach out to Swiss homes to talk to Katty but she was "on vacation" and would call back asap. Never got a call back and furthermore, my number has been blocked from contacting them. This experience was not only bizarre but with 3 days notice of not having a place to stay, this experience and service was downright abusive and despicable. To add insult to injury, I see the dates that I previously booked are now available at this property. read more

BE AWARE OF THE PRO SHOP HERE! I have never had a worse customer service experience than at this proshop. They try to be nice and kind but are so unorganized resulting in a horrible experience. They also do NOT speak great english. If you are french, you may have a different experience, but I was under the impression that it was an english speaking proshop (from my email with them and their english website), but when I arrived the owner hardly spoke english, not did anyone else who was there. This made communicating about all the mishaps that would happen in the next week extremely difficult. I was arriving for a 1 week ski training vacation and had ordered a ski boot in (the ski i was bringing didn't have a front boot). They told me it would be there when I arrived- it didn't arrive for THREE DAYS. So, for half the time I was skiing on a borrowed boot which greatly hindered the experience and my progress- obviously disappointing seeing as I was there to improve my skiing. When the boot finally came, it was the wrong size. It took days of quarrels with the *non-enlish speaking staff* (note how frustrating that would be) to get them to return it and refund me the price of the $400 boot, which they finally agreed to on my last day there. Three weeks later and still haven't been refunded. When I emailed to inquire yesterday, they said that they would refund me. They ended up making a mistake (as per usual) AND CHARGED MY ACCOUNT THE PRICE OF THE BOOT INSTEAD OF REFUNDING ME! So now I have been charged TWICE for a boot that I DO NOT HAVE and that they have returned and gotten refunded for. Hopefully they sort this out in the next few hours. Swiss ski school gets 2 stars for the BOATS and LAKE only. One of the best ski lakes I've experienced. HOWEVER: the coaches are very rushed and lack care of your improvement. I skied a 2 set/day program for 7 days and had at least 4 lessons where the coach did not coach me once after each pass! Such a waste of money. read more
