Staff is amazing they are kind and very attentive and were very good. The venue itself feels like an underground cage match. Minimal lights only one smoke machine for a high area. We went for midget wrestling for past few years and this was the first at encore for us. No lights were shined on the stage. Can't even see the stage if you are short (5"1'). It was a pretty bad performance of all the times we went and just very unorganized. Was supposed to start at 7 didn't until after 8. The bathrooms were very gross. It's cash only but there's only one ATM and no where on advertising says cash only. Because they did all ages. Very song was cut off at the best part and just some of the worst performances/ show put together. Plenty of parking and good staff was only highlight. We left during intermission it was that bad. read more

Lines were all the way wrapped around the building and they didn't get everyone in for 2 hours! Once inside, only air that was moving was by the front door. Hot, stale air, Couldn't even stay for the show, which unfortunately was true 2 years ago for same show! Will NEVER go to this venue again! read more

As a first timer at Encore, I was nervous about the accommodations for my scooter. Handicap parking was right by the door. Once the doors opened and the line began to move, a worker came and pulled us out of line and walked us right in! I was amazed! After getting in, we saw they had an ADA section right by the stage. They brought my wife a chair so she could sit with me. During the shows, people would cut under the rope sectioning off our area and the workers immediately told them to stop. I was checked in with to make sure we were good. At the end, we were escorted out thru the crowd. They are cash only bar and the atm went down briefly but was fixed. Encore is my absolute favorite venue in Tucson. I love the variety of music and the stage shows. The sound and lighting takes me back in time (oops, I'm showing my age). My daughter used to take pictures there. I am a photographer as well, and now that she is a fully grown woman I can finally go to the other side of the stage or places I think would be perfect. I can't wait to come back and visit. read more

I attended the Violent Vira show (yesterday) at Encore and while the band was absolutely amazing, the overall experience left a lot to be desired due to poor organization by the venue. We purchased VIP tickets, which included early entry and a meet and greet. The confirmation email said VIP check-in would start at 5:45 PM, with the meet and greet beginning promptly at 6:00 PM. We drove down from Phoenix and got in line by 5:30 PM to be on time--but the staff was clearly unprepared. We weren't allowed inside until around 6:20-6:30PM. Once inside, we were directed to another line for merchandise. That's when we were told the WiFi was down and only cash would be accepted. We didn't have cash on us, and the ATM at the venue wasn't working. When we asked staff if we could hold items until the system came back online, we were told no--but they said they'd let us know once it was working again. Unfortunately, we were never informed, and we later found out the system came back online while we were still in the meet and greet line. That meant we missed the chance to get our T-shirts signed, , which was something we had been looking forward to so it was really disappointing. The meet and greet itself felt rushed, with staff pushing people through quickly. Afterward, we found out the payment system had been working, but no one told us--another missed opportunity. Other issues: the bar was cash-only, drinks were overpriced ($8 for a small can of Twisted Tea, $3 for bottled water), and the venue was extremely hot and overcrowded. There was NO AC, and the humidity made it hard to breathe--I actually felt like I might pass out at one point. It was uncomfortable and, honestly, unsafe. That said, the band was fantastic. Violent Vira's lead singer did her best to keep the crowd safe, asking everyone to take a few steps back (several times) and even requesting security to hand out water. Sadly, water was never offered to us directly, but I really appreciated the band's efforts in a tough situation. Overall, the band was the highlight of the night--they gave it their all. But the lack of communication, preparation, and basic amenities at the venue completely overshadowed the experience. I hope Encore takes this feedback seriously and makes some real improvements for future shows. read more

Worst concert venue ever. I was born and raised in AZ so I'm used to the heat, but having no AC or fans in a packed house in the middle of summer is borderline negligent. Also at least push "cash only" on your terrible website so people know in advance. The ATM stopped working so I had no way to pull money out to buy a water (of course the water wasn't free). I left during the opener and will not be back. read more

Went to this venue for the first time ever to see an acoustic show. Upon our arrival we were able to get in pretty quickly despite the venue having trouble scanning in our tickets with their cell phones. After getting inside, we learned the bar was cash only. There was only one ATM and the line to get cash was horrible. Thankfully we arrived 1.5 hours early so this wasn't an issue for us. Another high point was that the prices for beer and water were reasonable. The most unfortunate thing was that it was SO HOT my clothes were literally soaked through with sweat!!! There were large industrial fans in the venue that were not turned on. Staff claims plugging in the fans would blow a breaker so there was supposedly nothing that could be done for their guests in misery. I will definitely think twice before choosing this venue anytime outside of the dead of winter. read more

Really not sure why this place gets bad reviews. Went on 1/19 for Zakk Sabbath. Great service from the 4 bartenders despite it being a packed house. Heavy pours and great attitudes. The door and security were super nice and great at weeding out the 'unsavories' who can't be civilized or hold their liquor. All speakers worked and were very loud. It was not hot. We got a table in VIP for reasonable price. Sadly VIP is all the way against the back wall, the furthest from the stage and there was no one keeping the general populace from standing in our area or trying to steal peoples seats when they walked away. I felt like I had to guard my husband's chair everytime he went to the bar or the restroom. That however, is more of a reflection on rude people and not the venue. Worst thing I can say is that the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. Mid evening, I just held it, as none of the stalls were being cleaned and were filled with used tampons and feces and completely stopped up. All and all, a very good experience. read more

We just spent the last two nights at Encore for the Cody Jinks shows. We had never been to this venue before. From start to finish, we could not have had a better experience! For starters, I am using a walker and my husband has his arm in a cast.....yep, I we went to a small, crowded, sold out venue with me using a walker. From Randy, the owner, who graciously sat us and my walker at a table....to Omar, who busted his tail running beer and ice all night, stopping to take a moment and escort me and my walker to the bathroom....to Drew, who on night two, was SO accommodating and funny and helpful...to Ian, who was also so very helpful and accommodating and funny...to the freakin rockstar bartenders, I wish we caught their names...(the blonde female bartender at the big bar and the Jagermeister bartender)...the last two nights spent at Encore were just phenomenal. Can't wait to go back. Thanks! read more

No air circulation in half of the venue (there is no a/c apparently and a few fans in attendance) and the worst sound engineering I have seen locally bar none. Cash only and just one ATM with high fees and a $100 limit. A bottle of the cheapest purified water is $3. Kept us waiting outside 50 mins after the doors were supposed to open and the first band did not start for another 45 mins after. They tried to cancel at least one of the local bands that was opening up - these bands have to sell tickets in advance in order to play there. So yeah, thanks for the money and now GTFO because we cant manage the business properly? This place is to be avoided. We left before the headliners. read more

Well aside from seeing a favorite band playing here, this place sucks. Cash only and line for anything is ridiculous. There was one security guy that was cool but other than that I don't recommend this place at all. Very outdated and if you get a table there is no service to it. They don't care if this places is packed and possible fire hazard as long as they make money. Bartenders are horrible. No people skills whatsoever. Bad place to see a show. read more

First time attending an event here. came for Cody Jinks and while Cody was amazing, the venue was awful. There was NO AC! It was so hot and miserable inside. They had two large fans on either side near the stage, but they were never turned on. The line to purchase alcohol or water was the same so you waited at least 40 minutes to purchase water. There was No re-entry so when we finally had to break down and go outside for air we had to just leave. So we missed the end of the show. I will not be going back. read more

one of the worst clubs in the city which is a shame because the space itself could be a great spot for live music. you can tell whoever owns this club does everything on the cheap and doesnt seem to know how to run a nightclub effectively. the layout of the club is terrible and when its packed its a major fire hazard. they dont turn on the house lights in between bands. its always too hot. the lines for the bar are ridiculous. i dont blame the staff really you can tell how overworked they are (like security guards should not double as barbacks!). i have passed on many shows here for bands i like simply because this venue just sucks. read more
