Lo Lo breaking down some Karaoke!
Rayne M.

Great to finally be back on the Yelp-osphere! I HAD to do Edge as my first review back! This bar is AMAZING. First off this has become my regular spot to go with friends on the weekdays. David does Karaoke all weekday long and has the voice of an angel! (Really though a halo pops up and a choir sings backup during his songs.) he always seems so happy to see us and puts our songs in without even needing them written down! Bulldog the bouncer is wonderful and makes my day every time I see him. He always walks us to our car to make sure we don't get wisked away in the dark by strange men! He keeps the bar so safe I never worry about anything but having a good time. All the bartenders are magnificent, but Christina is our favorite! She is drop dead perfect and is the sweetest girl you will ever meet. She also does great pours which is much appreciated. I love seeing the regular crowd like Arturo and my man man Bam-bam. I'm not into the band dive bar scene so I don't go weekend nights because I prefer downtown, but weekdays this is exactly what I need to relax after work and have a good time. It's pretty dimly lit inside so don't get to drunk or you'll end up on the floor.

My first time in, they had a live band... the band was great! Mixture of old school rock and country. Place was packed. Everyone having a good time great atmosphere. The bartender was attentive, fast and super friendly.

Rivers edge lounge, very relaxed laid back atmosphere to wind down after work!!!

Now that they are serving bar food, I am definitely coming back. I had a meatball sub and mozzarella sticks. Yummy

Love going into the Edge. Always feel welcome and get my drink quickly everytime. Amy and Christina are two of my favorite bartenders.

Been drinking here since high school. pretty much your average dive bar. stiff drinks, cheap prices, normally a good time.

The River's Edge is a fun place to hang out! Great food and music! Ray Ray aka Rachel is the best employee there.

Great time at the lounge for karaoke Thursdays. The drinks were delicious as always. However the…read moremenu has changed DRASTICALLY FOR THE WORST. Everything is made differently with less flavor and finesse. The lettuce wraps used to be standout now they're dry and under seasoned. It's also presented differently which made for an awkward dining experience. I remember being blown away by the katsu chicken sandwhich the first time. This time it was gross. It was not fried like katsu but more so like a battered chicken breast. It always was not pounded flat into a uniform piece of meat but was more so a badly butchered breast that fell apart when you ate it. It was dry, under seasoned, fried way too hard and was stringy. I'd come for drinks and completely pass on the food all together. Not worth the high price tag associated with it. Karaoke DJ was stellar!!!!! Kept the party going and was so fun!!!!!

It is dark inside and usually I do not like going into establishments that do not have windows. At 530 pm on a Saturday night, the bar was half full and there were a few tables with people as the band was setting up for later in the evening. We ordered drinks and some appetizers. Perhaps our waitress was just having an off day, but there were a few errors. I specifically asked for our appetizers to come out prior to our main courses as I like to enjoy the small plates before the main course. I want to sit down, taste the food, enjoy a beverage and the experience, and not feel rushed. The main courses came out almost as soon as the appetizers, and the tables are small (there was just my wife and I), and it felt cramped when everything came out. The appetizers were quite good and were the highlight of the meal. The Devils on Horseback (Bacon Wrapped Dates stuffed with Herbed Goat Cheese) were flavorful, but would have been better baked then deep-fried. The Spicy Korean Style Meat Balls (House made Garlic Ginger Meatballs served with Baby Bok Choy and a Spicy Korean Glaze) were excellent! I had the Sonoran Perfect Manhattan. While the drink was ok, I think using the word "perfect" is more of an aspiration. The Kara-Age Chicken Sandwich (Japanese-style Fried Chicken sandwich with our Asian Slaw, on a soft Brioche Bun. Also available "HOT" style with Sriracha) could have been better. I asked our waitress some questions about the food and then pointed out this is not what was described in the menu for example it was supposed to come with Cajun fries, and these were just plain fries. She explained that they were down a cook. I was going to have another drink, but we just decided to leave. Perhaps they just had an off night; it happens. I think this place has potential, and I'd like to experience it more positively than I did.

If you know a guy with a garage band who does decent covers of dad rock, he probably plays here on Thursday nights. Every now and then, you'll still see younger artists and crowds, as well as frequent karaoke. The sound system is great, and the new paint job, especially the mural gives it extra character. If you can bear the consistently loud environment, the small menu carries some hearty bar food. I highly recommend the pulled pork sandwich, but the wings are solidly above average. If you want to dine while enjoying some entertainment in a welcoming, unpretentious environment, you can't overlook Big Bad Wolf. I hope it sticks around!

I looked up to see if the old Big Bad…read moreWolf food truck was still around since we were just looking for some bar food and possibly visiting a brew pub. Yelp alerted me that it's no longer a food truck, but a bar and grill now. It had taken the place of the old Rockabilly Lounge. I had never been to the Rockabilly, but Big Bad Wolf is a pretty interesting place. I would probably label this as a dive bar or possibly a biker bar, but don't be fooled. They have live entertainment every day, open early and stay open late. There's plenty of parking in the back. There are also 2 entrances--the back is where the motorcyle over the entrane is and there's also a front entrance. The stage area is pretty large. There are 2 pool tables ---no cost to play. They also have a smoking area in the back which has some tables and a small horseshoe bar type area--no bar though but you can take your drinks food etc out there. A TV to watch sports. Now why you might want to try this--- very friendly staff, around 20 beers on tap, and exceptional bar food. I had the Big Bad Wolf which is a pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw served on a hamburger bun with seasoned fries. My brother ordered the Cubano which he said was awesome--pulled pork, ham, pickle and cheese. We shared a basket of loaded fries which come with real bacon pieces, cheese and diced jalapenos. We also wanted to share a plate of wings. The wings and sauce are exceptional. Wings are pretty big and crispy -- no breading. They have a late night happy hour reduced pricing on drinks. Overall we were very impressed. A place to go for great comfort food, watching sports on the TV's or just chilling to some music. I hope they do well since I'll probably look them up again the next time I visit the Tucson area.
