I got a chance to go to this venue for the second time a few weeks ago to see Clue. It is a funky venue, with the opportunity to order food at your seat to eat during the show. The options are plentiful. The shows are a little hokey but that's part of their charm! It's not clear the connection btwn the music hall and the theatre closer to the east side. read more

I really enjoy this venue for a variety of reasons. Wide genre of entertainment plus the food service. Upon seating at your reserved (online) table you are treated to a large bowl of fresh popcorn (wrapped). Local renowned pizzas (big takeout biz) salads, sandwiches and full bar. Very attentive hard working waitresses continually provide service to the seating area from lobby where bar and take out restaurant are located. Old Time theatre atmosphere. My husband and I were invited to come see a performance at the Gaslight Music hall in Oro Valley. The show was called Piano heist, which featured two performers playing individually and together on different music instruments including a piano, electronic keyboards, and melodicas. My husband and I arrived early. My mom got there at 5:30 in order to order order food ahead of the 6pm show. Food is available for purchase and includes pizza, nachos, wings, milkshakes, and various cocktails and beers. I had an overall positive experience. The only negative is I know that my mom got there 30 minutes ahead of time and my husband I got there 10 minutes ahead of time and nobody came to bring us water or take our food order until 630 after the show started and then it took several minutes for us to get our food. I could see why the show was going on staff bringing food for customers that arrived well before us. My husband and I ordered a vegetarian flat crust, pizza and milkshakes. Our milkshakes came out immediately so they must be made by a different kitchen. I was done with mine before the pizzas came. Overall, the food and shakes were excellent and a good value. I just wish we could've eaten before the show started. I suspect that people come often and they know to come quite early and have their food ordered immediately because when I arrived, it was a full house. My mom got there at 5:30 knowing that she wanted to order pizzas, but nobody came to take their orders or bring any beverages before the show so what can you do? Also this Gaslight Theater has more room than the location on Broadway and kolb; which is always a packed house and almost no personal space the seats. We all had a lot of fun watching the show and I would love to go back. read more

We live in Prescott and brought our disabled adult son to Tucson to see the elephants at Reid Park Zoo. It's quite a long drive, so we made hotel reservations for two nights. Along the way, we discussed what else we might do to fill the time since the zoo would only take up a couple of hours. We knew there was a melodrama located downtown, but we quickly ascertained that it was sold out. However, my husband recalled that there was a second location owned by the same company located next door to the telescope shop he'd visited a few months previously. Happily, the Gaslight Music Hall had some seats available for the evening in question. We were fortunate to attend "A Cool, Cool Evening: A Tribute to Bing Crosby & Judy Garland and the Melodies of Yesteryear," starring vocalists Juan Jose Aguirre and Erin Recuparo, backed by a talented trio playing keyboard, bass, and drums. The two-hour show was a mere $31 per person (not counting the very affordable and delicious pizza provided by Grandma Tony's, located in the same building). Our server, Emma, was only serving for the sixth time, but you would never have known it. She was friendly, attentive, and efficient. The facilities are fully handicap accessible, which is always a plus. We booked our tickets by phone, and the representative made sure we were seated in an appropriate location. The performers were top notch, and it was great to be able to enjoy such talent in a comfortable and intimate venue. We are definitely considering making return visits to see more shows! read more

This is the second or third time we've made the trek from the eastside to this music hall. We had tickets for the bluegrass concert. There were two bands that played concerts and then they combined at the end for a couple of numbers. There was a lot of talent on the stage. While that's not my favorite genre of music, I can appreciate the skill they demonstrated. We didn't order any food or beverages, but the servers worked hard and seemed very efficient. We went to Gaslight for Americana night. As I cannot eat gluten, I was happy to see they offer a gluten-free crust option for their pizzas. I ordered a small cheese and pineapple pizza to split with my partner, and he ordered a Caesar salad for himself. The portions were ample, and the food tasted good. Service was prompt, and the servers make an effort to not disrupt the show and to keep the tables clear. Gaslight is a music hall, so that is the ambiance! The acoustics are good, and the performers and audience are close enough to interact. We enjoyed Americana night and will go for other shows in the future. read more

We recently attended the Gaslight Music Hall's Rock N Roll Christmas Revue. We thoroughly enjoy the shows at the Gaslight Music Hall. This one was good, but not fantastic. I'm not saying don't go and see it, but I would definitely try to get the BOGO tickets that are sometimes offered. I wouldn't have wanted to pay full price ($28 per ticket, plus fees and taxes) for this show. read more

The ticket office staff ...always so nice and call to affirm your place the night before the show.... So welcomingly personal in a time where you're told to go to every website to do anything. I applaud GMH for all they are doing to keep us entertained yet safe during these trying times. My husband and I recently attended the Linda Ronstadt tribute and it was wonderful. Assigned parking spaces with social distancing. Food available with masked and gloved employees. Easy online ticket purchases. We enjoyed our visit there and it was a beautiful night for a drive up concert. My only complaint is one restroom inside and the line was long! They clean in between patrons so that takes time. I wish they had a means to add some bathrooms for guests. Otherwise fantastic entertainment at an affordable price. Well done! read more

The Gaslight Music Hall is one of the best things ever to happen to Oro Valley: live music, dance parties, plays. We have never been disappointed. The entertainment is of the highest quality for a theater of this size. We go often and take out of town guests when we can. The food is good and the servers are excellent. They have a lot to do in a short period of time and do it well. We do not hesitate to recommend the Music Hall and even gave gift cards for Christmas this year. read more

We went here a few nights ago on a whim to see the finale show of Oro Valley's Got Talent. We love the theater! The size is bigger than the Gaslight on Broadway and it's definitely newer. The spacing between tables is great and don't feel like you're crammed in. I really wish that they would host some of the melodrama shows at the music hall. It seems like such a waste to have this beautiful theater here not being utilized. There's definitely lots of other music shows they host here but it's mostly a mix of blues, oldies, country or classic rock which we're not really into. The talent show was pretty fun though, so we will be on the lookout for those shows next year! The food here is similar to the Gaslight theater downtown, though there's less choices. When I was there I had a Caesar salad with dressing on the side...it was delicious! I also had a cherry pepsi. The staff is awesome. We look forward to coming back! read more

I love The Gaslight! So many GOOD things...here goes. 1) Location: conveniently located in Oro Valley, with a lot of parking options. 2) Events: my fave is George Howard. He and his band (including horns) perform once a month for a dance party. They are awesome! A little Motown, a little funk, even a few songs for the line dancer crowd. He definitely makes you want to dance! 3) Service: from the front desk folks to servers (we had Drew last night), they are friendly, prompt and make me feel like they are truly happy to be there. 4) Value: Drinks and food are very reasonable. They are known for their pizza. It is tasty and they don't skimp on the toppings. They have a cool system where the server puts your order in while he's at the table. That goes to the bar and the drink is waiting for the server. Cool! 5) Options: They always have something different. Musical events, theater, car shows. I'm thankful to have the Gaslight in my neighborhood and I think the 150 patrons that were there last night agree. Here's a tip! Avoid about $5 per ticket by stopping by the venue to purchase tickets. You can avoid some pesky fees. Dance party Fridays! read more

Reasonably priced musical night out with great service for food and beer. Went to see the Alabama cover band last night and had an enjoyable evening. The venue is nicely done, very clean and well-lit. There isn't a bad seat in the house. "Social" seating with small tables for 4-6 people. Very efficient table service, though the waiters kept coming by with food we did not order, and seemed confused where the destination table was. The food going by looked pretty good, pizza, beer, salads, etc. All we had at our table was a root beer float, which was excellent. The music was a mixed bag. Some of the performers were outstanding (lead vocals, fiddler), but the backup singer sounded like drunk karaoke, but he was good for a laugh. Not quite up to what you'd see/hear from a major cover band in a downtown theater, but for Oro Valley and $25/person it was well worth it. We would go again if the right music was available - "Gilligan's Island" just doesn't hit our "go" button. read more

Okay so I'm pretty sure I was the youngest person in this place by at least 30 years. So this review may or may not be helpful. My BF mom asked us to see a concert here. I'm a fan of all kinds of music so we decided why not?! The show was so incredible!! Basically guys doing renditions of artists that are gone, but really fabulously! The singing was great, the musicians were incredible and I thoroughly enjoyed the evening. We didn't eat dinner, but we did opt for a yummy ice cream sundae. It did not disappoint! Ordering tickets is easy, you can do it at the box office or online. There is always a variety of shows, really there is something for everyone. The music is great and the love band is fantastic. The performers are witty and charismatic, clearly the person in charge of hiring has a talent. While you are there enjoying the show, there is a variety of food that can be ordered. From hot dogs to nachos, dessert treats, and a full bar, the wait staff is always happy to accommodate you. If you have never been and don't know what to expect, expect a good time. When I think of something called "Gaslight Music Hall", I think of an intimately lit, sexy, sultry, jazzy place. That is not this place at all, which is unfortunate for my imagination. What Gaslight Music Hall is is a unique performance hall that gives off a definitely old-time country feeling. The inside has wood everywhere - along the walls, the stage, the tables (of course) which adds to the old-west feels. The inside is set up with tables that fit 4. Each table has a red and white checkered table cloth on it, with little dishes of complementary popcorn. I visited with my family to see live music from a group that none of us had previous knowledge of. I was definitely the youngest in the house that night, but based on the advertising, this place also hosts plays, dance nights, and musical and non musical performances... so I'm sure this place has seen people of all ages.... maybe? Though we had previously eaten before we came in, I still pawed through the table menu to get an idea of what they serve: pretty basic stuff like pizza, salads, sandwiches, shakes. Nothing was outwardly named as vegan, but they did have vegetarian options for all y'all veggies out there. This is the type of setting where it seems like you are expected to order food with the night entertainment, but the most that the 5 of us got was water. Cute place, but definitely wish it was more sexy jazz club like, but eh.
