It's pretty much self-serve, ordering food and drinks inside. They give you a buzzer to let you know when your food is ready. Ours was ready really quickly, although as it got busier, it was taking longer. The special of dusted calamari was tender, but not really crispy. We also got garlic parmesan wings which were decent, although not very crispy either. Most of their outdoor tables had shade of some kind...important in Tucson! Happy hour only on a couple of evenings. The live band was good, playing mostly 70's, 80's, and 90's music. We didn't dance, but it'd be nice if they had a bigger dance floor. We had a disappointing experience on a Friday night. While we like the setting and location of Three Canyons, they are woefully understaffed with long lines to order food and drinks and a long wait for food to be prepared. We couldn't find someone to light our fire pit after dark (and were cold, we live in Tucson!) Once lit, the propane ran out and we had to look for someone all over again. So prepare to spend most of your evening waiting for something :( On a brighter note, we enjoyed the live music , but a bigger dance floor would be nice. Good place if you go before the sun goes down. After that, it's a gamble whether the kitchen will be open. We came a little after 8 PM on a Friday night. There were 7 of us, and we were told that "it is slow, so the kitchen is closed." A strange way to run a business. We were previously told the kitchen closes at 9 PM. That's how you permanently lose a lot of guests. This place is now on our "no-go" list for us and our friends. Unfortunately, this place has changed over the past few months and it doesn't seem to be for the better. We are a little disappointed as we are looking at renting a house down the street and thought it would be great to be able to walk to Three Canyons, but the beer selection has changed drastically. In fact, they were one of the only places that still had one of my favorite selections on tap and now pretty much every beer they had a few months ago is gone. The young guy at the counter was nice enough but didn't seem particularly concerned about explaining any of the changes. We'll probably give this place one more go to see if the food is still decent but overall I'm very underwhelmed by the changes they've made, and some of the recent comments from other reviewers make me even more hesitant to return. Great outdoor area with live music. Although we weren't a fan of the "folk type music" that was playing it was still a nice time. Food is great tasting and reasonably priced. We had one of the 5 (yes that's five) beers on tap. Beer good - warm glasses not great. We had the chicken salad wrap, mostly lettuce. The dip was barely warm and the cheese was hard. For 2 dinners 3 beers and a glass of wine $97! Too much for what we got! Then tab suggested a 25% tip! Went to Three Canyon again, and honestly I don't know why I even bother anymore. I was sitting at the end of the bar near the kitchen and overheard a tall young employee -- I believe his name was Kaden -- speaking very disrespectfully about a young female customer. The conversation was awful enough that I won't be returning. The whole place feels like it's being run by high school-aged kids with zero management in sight. There didn't seem to be a manager anywhere, just a bunch of immature employees standing around. What kind of owners allow that kind of behavior toward customers? The only positive was a very sweet bartender named Tiffany. On top of that, the beer selection has really gone downhill. There are 16 taps and only about 5 beers available, and the fridge selection is extremely limited too. Every time I come in, the place seems worse than the last. read more

We've been having spending date nights here for years. Ownership has changed several times. And although we lost some familiar faces, the food has stayed for the most part the same. What takes our rating down is the loss of beverage selection. The beers on tap have been cut in half, the canned cocktails are gone, and most of the coolers are empty. Driven by a few times and always noticed it was semi-crowded, probably because it is that rare neighborhood bar that's nestled in a residential area. Being in the more upscale northeast side of Tucson, the crowd trends toward the 40 and over demographic. On a late Saturday afternoon we thought we'd swing by and try a beer flight after a nice walk through Sabino Canyon. With twenty choices on tap (and even small sip samples available at the counter) it was fun choosing. Options range from wheats to IPAs to fruit/sour beers and even a few ciders (see photos). Flights are available with 4, 5, or 6 samples, each come in small 5 oz glasses and each sample is a flat $3. It's all self-serve at the counter (no waiters). With tip, our four flights came to $15. The venue itself is warm, hipster/semi-upscale with plenty of outdoor seating. Keep in mind that on most nights there is live music outside which requires a $5 wristband for cover charge. If you arrive before 5:30, then outside seating is free, but after that you've gotta buy a wristband or move inside... it sounds awkward but it makes sense. The stage is on the northwest corner of the outside patio, so if you sit on the east side tables, you'll hear the music but won't see the musicians.... and perhaps can converse more easily :) Parking is free in their dirt lot but fills up surprisingly fast and may require you to walk a short distance. A water cooler with disposable cups is available inside for everyone as well. None of the staff were particularly welcoming... not unfriendly, just not engaging or interested (despite that at 4:30p on a Sat is was only 1/4 full). No apparent happy hour and prices seemed a bit high relative to other breweries in Tucson, but that could be the foothills markup. read more

I really WANT to like this place. We live right across the street. It's a great outdoor venue and they have solid live music most nights. The crowd is usually older (50s-60s), but my wife and I don't mind that. It's a very lively atmosphere. The craft beers are good. But man...the FOOD! It's so bad. Like, the fries and burgers are worse than something you'd get at a concession stand at a youth sports event. We've been here half a dozen times now, and a couple times takeout, trying different dishes in hopes of finding a decent one. We just wanted to find our new Friday night dinner and drinks hangout spot. I was hoping each time the kitchen was just having an off night. But no. This is some of the worst food in Tucson, especially for the price. You would think stuff like burgers, sliders, and fries are always at least edible. But here, the only equivalent I can make is it's like buying a burger and fries from the concession stand at a youth sports field... and that's probably insulting the concession stand food. And look, I get it, it's a bar. I'm not expecting some fine dining. I've eaten plenty of bar food in my day. But here, I have no doubt that the owner is ordering the near cheapest, worst quality ingredients he can find from the food suppliers. The food tastes like the fry oil is never changed, and cooked on a dirty grill. The meat patties and chicken is virtually inedible. The cheese tastes like the cheapest plastic-like fake cheese you can buy. It's not a chef problem, it's a cheap ingredients problem. Maybe if this place was struggling, I could excuse this cheapness. But they aren't. It's very busy all the time. Not to mention, they also really nickel and dime you. They charge a high credit card fee. They charge you $5 for a wristband to go outside for the live music (which some nights, is VERY amateur level music). Again, I don't mind if the bands suck, but not when you're being charged for it. I've lived all over the US and been to many beer gardens and never seen a place that charged for the music. But I would pay for the music, if the food was edible. There is no reason the owner cannot spend slightly more on his food supplies to provide at least average level bar food. It's not cheap food either, especially when you consider the credit card fee. For one drink each, the music wristbands, and food for my wife and I we'd spend well over $100. Don't buy any food here. To the owner: your business is successful. It's time to start investing in quality. Even if it means cutting your (obviously very high) margins a little bit, it will be a good investment long term. It's not just me either. I've invited multiple young friends to join us here for dinner and drinks, and they've all said the same thing: "but the food is so bad there" read more

My first time here was last Sunday, 10-16-22. This place hosted Dogtoberfest. The back patio was too small to host this venue and we didn't stay long, but we did have our lunch here in the front. I ordered a chicken sandwich with Swiss cheese and my friend ordered chicken nachos. The food was good and we had no left overs. The place offers a large variety of craft beers and wines. Both of my beers were from the new Willcox brewery, Tirrito Farms. I had a milk stout and a Cobre Blonde. Both were good. They also sell canned or bottled beers, both for premise or to-go. The beers for on-premise consumption are $2 more (corkage fee). The self service is the norm here, where you go to the counter to place your order, then return your glasses or food baskets to the front. Both the patio and inside are spacious, and the views toward the mountains are spectacular. read more

We drove across town because we heard of the place. They have a huge patio it's really beautiful! They don't have any service! Well except behind the bar and the counter. You have to get up walk across the courtyard all the way inside to get food or a drink. They buzz you with a pager when it's done but you still got to go get the food to bring it back to the table. There Is one employee out in the courtyard cleaning up tables but I'm sure that they don't make tips, As everyone's got to walk in and pay for their food pick it up themselves. I bet this place could do a lot more business if they had people waiting on tables. I watched people leave real fast after being here for 10-15 minutes. with the crowd that was in here a waiter or waitress could make some good tips and the bar would do more business! read more

Food is decent, but nothing to write home about. If you're gluten free, your options will be very limited here. The portion sizes are substantial. I had the nachos, and wasn't too fond of the canned jalapeños they put on them. They have a million and one options for beer, but I was expecting more wine options considering they call themselves a wine garden. They serve canned wines here in addition to having some lower end bottles. The patio is very spacious and nice. They even have AC units to keep you cool during the summer months. I went there for a party a couple of weeks ago on a sunday. I am not sure what the deal is with the pulled pork sliders but absolutely horrible. I was speaking with some of the regulars and they stated that they must have changed the recipe recently as usually they are very good. The chicken tenders were absolutely awful. Very bland. Almost like they didnt use the right dredge. The owner did not come to our table and it took forever to get decent service in a timely manner. The bartenders seemed overwhelmed with even the minor amount of people in line for drinks. The drink menu is limited and not worth the visit. The outside patio or seating area was nice but the landscaping was not trimmed and there was alot of trash around the seating areas and the parking lot as well. We came last night to have a meal and drinks at a new spot for us. This is organized self catering. No servers, no seating assignments and you bus your own table. You bring your own food n drinks to your area. Even though the parking lot is overflowing there is still plenty of seating. You can sit with others or at your own space. The setting is a big desert tent lot. With lots of outdoor furniture. And random cactus. Last night was a three piece guitar combo providing a nice mixture of 60's music. There were many choices for beer and I found something I hoped was German. I was Looking for the Hops accents. My wife had a Margarita. It was just ok, Came out of a tap. The Mix was off and left behind after three sips. But mine was delish. There is a good mix of people, including children and pets. I had the shrimp n chips and my wife had a Hot dog n chips. I would have either again or explore the menu. This was a very pleasant atmosphere. For readers not from Arizona, the temperature Was still 90 F at 8 o'clock at night. Def a Casual clothing night. Loving that they are open during Covid and that there is tons of outdoor seating!!! Also, when we went - live music!!! Love this place, the people were super helpful and friendly. Although they were packed with people, still had great service (must go up to the bar inside) and people were spaced out. Had a good selection of beers and wines. Also, they now serve food (or have been for a while) tried the wings and they were great! They were able to accommodate me being gluten-free. I was actually surprised at how good the food was, looking forward to going back and seeing what else they can make gluten free. My last review of this venue was 5 stars. Since then it has new owners and tonight I found it disappointing at best. They say they have coolers to combat the heat, but they don't tell you that they do not work, and when you inform them of this they don't care. The drink prices have gone up considerably and the selection has gone down, my group gave the food mixed reviews. The new owners did not seem welcoming. We booked a reservation on line and called the day before to verify because we had not received a confirmation. We were told not to worry but no one even asked our name to check. When we arrived there was no reservation. We miss the prior owners, we have been regular customers for years. The band was excellent, and that is that one factor that might get us to return. read more
