Just had this place for the first time tonight. I hate living so far from Bay Ridge. I had the ostritch wrap w/onions, peppers and brown rice....added a little bit of hot sauce... YUM! So good. Fuel is great. I am always surprised that the place isn't packed everytime I go here; because the food is so awesome. I love it. The guys who work there are so nice and the food is always fresh. its healthy and i feel good about eating any of their meals. my favorites: the popeye energy plate, the energy force, and i love their omlets. the omlets are huge, more like frittatas and very filling. i have also tried their protein brownie and protein muffin....both so good. i love this place and i want more people to try it because i need it to stay around for a long long time. I really expected a lot more from this place I got the chicken salad, which tasted pretty good overall, but had the feel of one of those pre made salads for some reason. The turkey bacon was what really made the salad, and was the true hero here The part that really lowered the rating was the banana milk shake. It was one of those days for me, where I was actually dying for one, and this one didn't cut it all. It was almost all milk taste, and had hardly any banana flavor, and I am not sure if it is because a bad banana was used or just not enough banana. It's a tad overpriced but when it comes to healthy marketed food - what isn't? The selection is a bit much - not very creative with lots of repetition with some minor changes. I order the make your own plates. It's hit or miss. Sometimes it's good - well seasoned, cooked well, not sloppy looking. The other times it's dry, poorly portioned, and kind of jumbled all together. One of the places you go to or order from when you're having a sudden craving and don't know where to eat. I usually order my Turkey Burger from here. They make some really good smoothies and protein shakes, one of my favorites being the Nutter Butter. I'm big when it comes to French fries and their baked air fries are really not impressive. They're so soft and mushy, really wouldn't recommend those unless you want to be disappointed. read more

the food is really good and their are a few veg. options which is always a plus. The service in this place sucks! On several occasions they messed up my order and when I go back to fix it they give me an attitude. I'm sorry I had to walk back and get exactly what I want since I am paying for it. The food is definitely NOT worth the prices. The portions have become smaller prices have risen the quality has diminished. The only reason these guys are still in business is due to lack of better options in the neighborhood and the gyms nearby. "Rolling Rolling Rolling, keeps those doggies rolling, Rolling Rolling Rolling, Rawhide, Keep them up, put them down" and Keep yourself up with fuel (hahaha, look at me, no reviews for months, and now I am all like, I can be funny right when I start off on a review....) Anyways, Fuel is like Awesome. I have found myself wanting to be a smaller version of myself lately, (which will come in a later review of how I am trying to do that...anyways) and fuel has been there holding my hand the whole way. Most "healthy" food is not all that good. However, at fuel, there are tons of different wrap combination's, plates and other goodies with everything from tofu to bison (and good bison at that). Now, what really sells me on this place (and it takes a bit to sell me on anything, so this is saying something) is actually their sides. They have some amazing Baba Ganoush that actually is rather tangy. I tend to actually use that as a topping on my wraps, and adds just that little bit of flavor that I love. Also, there are baked sweet fries and a few other really good things. My Roomate loves their blended shakes and juices, and they have a poster with each one and what it will help you with, from acne to cramps, each one is supposed to have its own specialty. Now, while I have ranted and raved on this place, my only complaint on it is that it is rather small inside and have had to take my food home before because there are no tables. I've never understood scathing reviews when I've come across them on yelp, but after dealing with this establishment, I fully understand. I live literally around the corner from this place. Normally, I'd just walk over. However, I got home late from work and there was a play off game on so I opted to just order in. When I called, I ordered two salads and sweet potato fries. I gave my address and telephone numbers twice. The person I spoke with read them back to me, twice. After an hour goes by where I haven't received food, I call back and speak to someone else and they tell me that my food has been sitting there because they don't have an address or telephone number for me. I give it to them again. Another half hour goes by and I get a call from a delivery guy that I truly can't understand. He says he's outside. I buzz him in. 3 minutes go by and I don't have food. He calls me back and I say I'll buzz him in again. Still no food. So I call him back and go down stairs. He's no where to be found. I walk up the block and he's no where to be found. I go upstairs and call this place back AGAIN and say I want to cancel my order. At this point, the guy rings my bell, so I'm told "oh, he's there now. Okay, good night" and get hung up on. Unfortunately for me, I paid with a card. I get no refund, waited two hours and now have cold fries and warm salads from a place that is LITERALLY AROUND THE CORNER from my apartment. I've never dealt with such a ridiculous establishment in my life. Stay away from this place at all costs. read more

I was served by Jessie, she was extremely rude. I asked her if I could have a side of peanut butter for my toast and she said no because they don't just sell peanut butter. I then asked if she could put a little bit on my toast for me and she said no because they don't do that. She said the peanut butter was only for the smoothies. I don't understand how hard it is to do something so small to make the customer happy. I was staring at a huge jar of peanut butter and she said no to me twice. She seemed very upset, no smile and didn't greet any of the customers. If you're going to work in customer service, at least try to seem happy. This place rocks! I so wish there was one in Atlanta, where I live. Everything they serve is the healthiest and lowest carb it can be, full of lean protein and veggies. They have quite an extensive menu, too. They have regular fruit juices and smoothies, but if you want to be healthier, they have ones packed full of veggies and you know there are no bs additives. I got a beet, cucumber and carrot one and it was delicious! They have bison and salmon and just nothing unhealthy. I'm pretty sure if I ate here everyday I would lose a ton of weight. Compared to the other two Fuel's close to this location I'm utterly shocked how different this one is compared to the other two. I used to order here often in hopes of it getting better, but with each order it got worse. At one point my fresh juice had DIRT from the fruits!!!! CLEAN THE FRUITS!! I don't know how the health department hasn't shut this place down yet. The workers don't even know what they're doing, they don't know which veggie is what, they don't know how much of the ingredients to use to make a small, medium or large juice. One of the workers was making my juice and continued to add grapefruit to my juice because it wasn't enough. I didn't ask for a grapefruit juice!! What was suppose to be 2 grapefruits turned into 4, with 1 Apple and a handful of spinach. Not what I ordered. Not only that, one day I was eating in with my friend and there was a roach the size of a thumb walking along the wall. We got up and left. So sad that a healthy food place is so dirty and unkept. Let me start off by saying I love Energy Fuel and order it anytime I can get it! I ordered food today through Grubhub and stated that my fiancé will pick up the order. During my fiancé lunch break he proceeded to take the train to the Bayridge location to pick my order. When he got there, there was a sign in the window saying they were shut down by dept of health and hygiene. This was such an inconvenience seeing that there was nothing on their website saying they were closed! It wasted my time ordering online and it wasted my fiancé lunch time to get the food..ugh! We moved to the neighborhood about 2 weeks ago and have eaten her 3 times already. The place is seriously so good. Huge variety, tons of food that I don't feel like a jerk for eating, & reasonable prices. When I say reasonable, I mean that you get what you pay for. It's not CHEAP cheap, but the it really does taste like you spent $9 on a wrap. Like I said, reasonable. Not only that, but they take Square, so even the delivery guy can take a credit card. This place is hit or miss, we really just go here for the convenience. I haven't had any complaints about the food but the service is absolutely terrible. I called to place an order for delivery - the girl that answered the phone asked if I could "wait 1 min", then placed me on "hold" which just consisted of putting the phone on the counter, so I could hear laughing and talking in the background. My 1 min hold went on to be 5 mins, and probably longer if I didn't hang up. I called back a few minuted later to a busy signal. Clearly, she forgot I was on the line. I really wanted to like this place. I ordered two smoothies and a soup - which were delicious. However, one of the smoothies had hard plastic pieces in it as if something had broken off into the blender or something. I called and was told I'd get a credit. When I tried to order from them again, they said they couldn't find my credit and gave me an attitude as if I had done something wrong.
