Meh, a chain/franchise that serves healthy-ish food, smoothies, and drinks. The pluses- it's one of the few in the area and walking distance from the VA and fort, it's a good size and has seats, and it's close to a park. Negatives- the staff that I dealt with was an inattentive and uninterested teen who seemed bothered by my presence. However, she kindly gave me a cup of ice for my warm juice when asked. Obviously the juice is not cold-pressed. That being said, if I'm craving a juice, as one does from time to time, I'll probably be back. 4 stars for the food, -1 star for the horrible customer service. I've been coming here for a good six or seven years now, and they used to have the nicest staff. Now they employ these not so friendly teenagers who can't even be bothered to greet you and ask what you'd like to order when you walk in. They just stare at you. This place is a scam. I ordered a low carb plate with Bison and received less than 2oz of Bison. When I called them, the lady said that the original 6 oz Bison meat shrinks and that's just the way they do things here. Last time ordering from here. read more

Chicken teriyaki is Good but make sure you get rice and extra chicken and extra sauce , why? There cheap with the chicken and sauce , I'm giving it three stars because of the food but the service is ok besides this one short little girl that has an attitude when she's having a bad day some days she's nice some days she's mean but other wise the food is good the shakes are awesome read more

Been eating here for over a year, everyday. Some folks complain about the food being hit or miss... I think it just depends on your taste palate. If you're used to eating heavy Italian pasta or pizza, KFC, things with lots of grease and butter then you'll most likely find the food here rather bland (However, they also make a mean pizza here for those who don't know). But if you're in to eating healthy and enjoy bison and game meat like I do then there no place like Fuel. Service-wise, I've seen some customers here who are a bit over-demanding. Not saying all the negative reviews are based on that, but the folks who work here are just like me and you trying to get by - unfortunately some customers are unaware of that and I've seen them give the staff here a hard time. Their juices are freshly made to order preserving the flavor and nutrients. I like "Popeye's Arms" and, at $6 for a 20-ounce cup, it includes Broccoli, Spinach, Celery, and Carrot. There you find healthy supplies of vitamins A & C, plus valuable anti-oxidants that may contribute to lowering cholesterol. Sure you can buy your own Juicer but try keeping all those veggies fresh! This juice keeps you satisfied for hours. Energy Fuel is a small store and you can pass it by easily if you're not attentive. Don't pass it by. ordered here twice. this will be the last time. first time they messed up my order and were late. now this time not only are they late with the delivery, but the girl who answered the phone lied to my boyfriend saying the delivery man had left and the food should arrive soon. 15 mins passes and he calls again... only to be told the delivery man was leaving soon because he had to stay behind to help close... so uh, you lied and said he left when he didn't? so third time I call them, she proceeds to not even ask my name... but informs me the restaurant is closed so he left 5 minutes ago with the seamless orders.... um.... okay? again you lied to my boyfriend twice and now you are trying to tell me my order is on my way and you didn't even know my name? Great restaurant, varied menu with so many healthy and tasty options, and prompt service. Tonight I had the bison burger and air fries...delish. Their chocolate protein brownies are also heavenly. I have one criticism: The juicer is SO loud, and the space is SO small. When the juicer is running, you cannot hear yourself think. I will be back, I will just order to-go. read more

So horrible it's comical. The staff are not trained. I ordered a juice, and it looked nothing like the picture on the wall. She had no idea what kale was, so she left it out completely. Then she just kept adding more industrial sized carrots until it reached the top. Also charged differently each time. Best part is when she used WINDEX to clean the cutting board and knife. This place only stays in business because people in Bay Ridge are desperate for healthy food. This place is just the worst. If your gonna be cheap as a business owner and hire high school kids you could at least train them. You have been warned. read more

Terrible ! We decided to order from them today. We ordered lentil soup, Mediterranean appetizer platter and goat cheese salad with avocado topped with grilled chicken. Where do I begin.... Although arrived promptly it didn't make up for the tasteless plates we ordered. The soup tasted like it was out of the can without any seasoning what's so ever. The goat cheese salad wasn't anything special the chicken was not eatable - it was so dry it had to be revived in the microwave ( that by the way didn't work). The Mediterranean platter was simply gross. It was supposed to be hummus, tabuleh and babaganush salad however we never got the babaganush. When I called to let them know it was missing I was told that it was there and it may have blended with the other salads to keep looking for it. I did, and it wasn't there. I wasn't looking for someone to deliver it to me but a simple apology. Whatever ... The hummus tasted nothing like it should loaded with tahini and very acidic. Sadly the tabuleh which is normally so fresh and yummy was a sour glob in the bowl. ... Where is the cilantro and onions and freshly squeezed lemon juice? The only edible item ordered was their version of spinach pie - some sort of melty cheese with thawed out spinach wrapped in whole wheat tortilla. Lastly everything was $1.00 more when my food arrived than the menu listed. Awful experience. Won't order from there again. I want my money back! read more

I've tried enough of the items on the menu to know that this place is solid - from burgers to burritos to pizzas. They are all made with fresh ingredients and it's good. I would avoid the sweet potato fries as it is a hit or miss. If you want sweet potato fries, go for the fried stuff. These baked sweet potato fries are just not that good. read more

Horrible customer service!!!! Called to order a burrito for delivery. Was told it would take 30 min to an hour..really? an hour? I live two blocks away. They say ok, 30 min. 40 min later the burrito arrives with the wrong ingredients. They send the delivery guy back 30 min later to the wrong apartment # and try to blame the mix up on him.. I saw the receipt with the wrong apt # on it. The people on the phone just can't seem to pay attention to what they are doing. Nor are they willing to accept responsibility for their mistakes. When I called back to speak with a manager, there was none available. The girl answering the phone was very arrogant and unapologetic for putting my order in wrong in the first place. She had the audacity to argue that the item number was incorrect, even though I went over the ingredients with her. I had asked to leave some things out (which were in the burrito I got) and for sour cream on the side(which I never got). On top of the nonexistent customer service is the nonexistent flavor for high prices. Bland burrito for $9 is ridiculous. Don't waste your time with this place. read more

If there was an option for not rating this place, i would !!!! even though the food is good ( could be better though) and healthy, SERVICE IS HORRIBLE. ordered lunch for the office had to repeat myself 3 times to two different guys repeating my address and order, took about hour and half for delivery ( mind you my office is located 3 blocks away) and they've delivered here PLENTY of time. The girl that works there needs an attitude check, asked m to hold down, i was on the phone for nearly 10 minutes till i just gave up and called back again and she acted like nothing happened. Service is horrible, although they never forget to charge you extra for little things and prices are WAY too high for such crappy service. They need to get a reality check. read more

Awful. Third strike with this terrible terrible place. It's cheap healthy food- but not really tasty and THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Ordered off Seamless (which I have done twice before) and then 20 minutes later was called by a girl named Alexis telling me her delivery guy Manuel said they don't deliver to us. (We are located on the same Avenue as this place, and only about 10 blocks away...also if you order delivery off of Seamless then it means they deliver to your address, and again I have ordered the exact same thing from the exact restaurant before). Tried explaining this to her, but she was extremely unhelpful. Had to call Seamless to get a refund (the woman said the store could not do it)- and Seamless confirmed that they were in violation of their contract and would be closing the restaurant on Seamless for the rest of the evening and contacting the restaurant. This all took about 35 mins after we had placed an order with them to begin with- very annoying and unnecessary endeavor to have to deal with for food that is meh and was a kind of last resort option to start. Save yourself the trouble, Nature's Grill in Bay Ridge is same kind of place- much better people and food. read more

Used to be a routine customer at Fuel but have since stopped due to their price gouging. The food is just "ok" and does not warrant the exorbitant prices. Case in point, I have been ordering salads here for ages. The price of a salad has gone up from $7 to now over $10 (with tax). Most recently, I ordered an avocado/goat cheese salad. When it came time to pay, the cashier charged me $12. When I asked her why it was so much, she kept insisting the salad was $10.50. I pointed to the sign on the wall, which clearly stated $8.50. This went back and forth for a while. Bottom line, they had raised the prices but had never changed the menus. I told the female cashier that this was false advertisement and was met with a shrug of shoulders and total indifference. As another rater suggested, most of these dishes can be made at home and for half the price. I am still trying to figure out how they can charge $10.50 for a salad that only has leaves, a couple of slices of avocado, and a few bits of goat cheese--no chicken. Mind boggling. Additionally, their shakes are just "meh." The place likely stays in business because it is 2 blocks away from a gym. read more
