I went with the second option and bought the products necessary to apply every three months or so to keep the drains from clogging up again. The technician did not charge me for that initial call since I opted to go with the more expensive treatment the next day. I had no qualms about the price, because they did an amazing job. I'll just close by saying that I dealt with three people at the company during the course of this service call. Everyone was an absolute delight to work with. To make matters worse, they said they couldn't turn the system back on and that we might have to wait until Monday for a full system replacement. This all happened on the Wednesday before the Fourth of July, with temperatures well into the triple digits. We have five kids and two dogs, and the thought of going several days without air conditioning was overwhelming. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion and called Airtime Cooling & Heating. Jacob came out, started his own evaluation without us telling him what the first company had diagnosed, and quickly impressed us. He simply turned the system back on, ran his own diagnostics, and gave us his honest opinion. His conclusion was completely different--our system did not need to be replaced. Not only did he get our AC running again, but he also took the time to explain what he believed had happened, what to watch for if it occurred again, and even walked us through how to troubleshoot it ourselves. That kind of honesty, education, and customer service is incredibly rare. They have installed 5 central HVAC units and 3 mini-splits, most proactively and one on an urgent basis after the 25 yr old unit was not worth repairing. I have had them perform annual service on 5-10 HVAC units every year. They are highly knowledgeable, good communicators, efficient, meticulous, trustworthy, and fair in their pricing. They do not upsell nor promote gimmicks. They install quality equipment while avoiding manufactures who use "exclusive to their brand" parts, ensuring parts can be sourced more readily, especially when there are supply chain issues. They have worked me into their schedule same day or next on several occasions when components failed. There has only been one occasion when, during the heat of the summer, one of their newer people came to service a mini-split, and the work needed to be redone a few days later. First, mini-splits are wonderful but notoriously finicky on freon pressure tolerances. One text and the next morning, Jason was here and went through the unit with extreme care and had it working perfectly before he left. They apologized and absolutely did not bill me for the work. That was 2 years ago and it has worked perfect since. I trust them enough that in 2024 we were planning a proactive replacement of 2 central AC and Gas furnaces. This not only required a crane to place the two exterior units, it also required them to cut access to the attic to remove and replace the furnace/air handler. I trusted them to schedule this work over Thanksgiving while we were away for 10 days. We came home and the house was in perfect order. Even the floor was clean. The only evidence they had been there was we could see where the section of drywall had been removed and replaced, which is what we expected. We simply had our painter come out and tape, mud, and paint the section. Before finding A Savings Air I had another company install a new unit in our home. I was foolish enough to pre-purchase a 5 year service plan. Each year they found something to charge me for and then after 2 years went out of business. They sold their customer list to another company who came out and on one of my older units that was working perfect, purposefully punctured the condenser then tried to sell me a new unit for 2x normal price. In Arizona it is critical that homeowners have a HVAC company they can trust and that are knowledgeable. A Savings Air is one of the best. That being said, don't be an idiot and not service your HVAC annually! An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure! If you have a older unit, plan the replacement, don't wait until it totally fails and expect someone to replace it immediately in the middle of the summer heat!

He evaluated our glass-enclosed covered patio, which had limited mounting options, and recommended a wall-mounted air handler with the condenser installed on the roof. His proposed installation was much cleaner and more practical than the alternatives we received. Other companies wanted to run the refrigerant lines into an interior closet, down an interior wall, back outside, and then around the side of the house. Conrad's solution avoided all of that. After providing the estimate, he sent me photos of similar installations the company had completed around town, including the concession stand at the local ballpark. Installation day went smoothly. The technicians arrived on time and completed the job in about four hours. The final install looks great, the roof penetration was properly sealed, and the drain line was routed to the scupper/downspout. Before leaving, they tested the mini-split and drain pump and confirmed that everything was operating properly. The qoute was accurate, my text questions were answered quickly, and it was a job well done. I highly recommend Conrad and the team at A Savings Air.
