They came out that night and found that our system had no refrigerant. Long story but our 12yr old attic unit had a large leak and was not repairable. They provided multiple options for the repair but we choose a complete replacement. EnerVation replaced our entire HVAC system (furnace, AC, zoning) and did a fantastic job from start to finish. They were professional, on time, and kept our home clean throughout the whole install. They caught a mold issue in our old ductwork we didn't even know about and fixed it properly instead of cutting corners. Everything was explained clearly, they followed up to make sure the system was running right, and the new setup is quiet and works great. Would absolutely use them again. read more

Last week our air conditioning unit stopped working, and after calling several companies, we chose EnerVation Heating & Air Conditioning because they were able to schedule a service appointment for the very next day. Our technician, Anthony, was extremely thorough and professional. He diagnosed a failed capacitor along with several other issues and took the time to explain everything clearly. He also let us know that our AC unit is 26 years old and that most systems typically last 20-30 years, so while it was repairable, we should expect to replace it in the future. We decided to repair the unit for now, fully understanding that we'll eventually need to install a new system. After completing the work, Anthony sent us a detailed email outlining everything he had done, along with photos of the repairs, which we really appreciated. We were extremely pleased with the service, professionalism, and communication throughout the entire process. When the time comes to replace our AC unit, EnerVation Heating & Air Conditioning will definitely be the company we call. On January 16,2026, I was browsing Yelp and reading every detail of reviews for Heating within Oakley. This company EnerVation caught my attention due to great reviews. I called and spoke to Kristina and made an appointment since our heater would not give heat to the whole house. However, after several hours, it started to heat up. I decided to go ahead with the appt. to check out. The appointment process was very easy and quick. Kristina is such a great help. I called the same day and Bryan came over on the same day. Bryan is the owner and he is the technician too! He has over 30 years experience in this line of business. The first appt. was to perform a maintenance since we purchased the house in Sept 2025. Bryan took several photos but first step that he did was to change the filter of the furnace which is located in the attic and to go there, there is a small box shape entrance located in the ceiling of our walk in closet of our main bedroom. Bryan replaced the filter on the first appt. then took pictures of everything that requires work. Kristina was very helpful in making the second appointment which occurred on the same week to perform the following activities. 1. Replaced the leaking condensate collector box. 2. Added a dedicated secondary transformer and rewire the zone system correctly. 3. Repaired and reinforced the emergency overflow drain pan. 4. Performed a full blower wheel cleaning. Our AC went out! Bryan and the team and EnerVation exceeded my expectations, finished our project early and under budget Bryan has many years experience and is very kind when talking avout HVAC in common terms. They removed the old system, replaced and in some case fabricated solutions to improve airflow and zoning performance. They cleaned my attic of dust & lint, replaced all filters, resealed all vents and more. They utilized drop cloths and even asked permission to vacuum since I work from home. Furnace went out and as you know, it's been really cold lately. Had to bundle up the last week trying to figure out what's going on with our furnace on youtube. I reached out to EnerVation and Kristina responded right away and scheduled us for the next day. Bryan came out and was able to assess the problem. Bryan was very knowledgeable and trustworthy. He worked quickly and efficiently. Before you knew it, we were back up and running. Now I get to walk around my house like I normally do during the year, with shorts and tank top! Lol (that's the island boy in me) Bryan went above and beyond and replaced old parts that the original installer used from the older unit when they installed the newer unit. Mine is a newer unit, and still under warranty so I was wondering why it wasn't running properly. Bryan explained, it wasn't the actual unit, but everything else surrounding the unit, such as the clogged pipes. This caused the water sensors in furnace to go off and shut down the unit. Basically, it was a maintenance issue. Bryan went in with the nitrogen tank and blasted the pipes until it became unclogged. Long story short, without yearly maintenance, even the newer models are subject to failure. EnerVation has a program where you pay a small monthly fee and they come out and handle the maintenance of your furnace and AC twice a year to keep them functioning properly. We're definitely going to sign up for that. It's certainly worth it. Nobody has $10-20k sitting around for a new furnace or AC system if the current ones take a dive. Thanks again Kristina and Bryan. Your response confirms the main concern in my review: the lack of timely and professional communication. Yes, I called your office, and the staff member I spoke with did not appear to know that your company had decided not to move forward with my project. Even after that call, I still did not receive a response from you until you posted this public reply. I had sent the architectural plans well before the onsite visit so your team could review the project and understand that I was seeking a mini-split solution. If your company had concerns about the design or did not believe it could provide the system requested, that should have been identified and communicated either before the visit or promptly afterward. My concern is not that your company reached a different professional conclusion. Contractors are entitled to decline work they are not comfortable performing. My concern is that your staff spent considerable time onsite discussing options, but did not clearly explain that they were unprepared to recommend the requested system, and then left me waiting for a proposal without any update. Homeowners' time should be treated with the same consideration as the contractor's time. A consultation should provide clear, project-specific guidance--not primarily sales discussion followed by silence. Better preparation, internal communication, and follow-through would have prevented this experience. read more

When my AC would not come on this summer, I tried to trouble shoot, but couldn't fix it. I requested a few quotes from few HVAC companies on Yelp, and Kristina from EnerVation called me immediately. She was kind and explained the process, and everything the technician would do in the diagnostic. They had a promo and had the best price for a diagnostic, so I scheduled an appt. Anthony came by. He wore his booties, which was considerate. He was kind and professional. I discovered the problem, explained it to me, and gave me a few options for repair without putting on the pressure. I didn't need to replace the whole thing or the compressor, which would've been pricy, but I did decide replace some of the electrical and add some protection for the compressor. I initially called requesting a quote for duct cleaning, however Kristina suggested an ac tune up to diagnose any issues/whether I actually need the cleaning. The company that we purchased our HVAC system from is now out of business. I was able to get an appointment with Enervation for a maintenance within a couple of days. They were very accommodating with our schedule. Brian and Ethan, learning the trade, were very professional, and quite familiar with the particular HVAC equipment that we have. They went through each system, noted where we should keep an eye on things in the future, cleaned and serviced everything that needed tending to. I was so impressed that I signed up for their VIP service offering so if we have any issues whatsoever they'll be right back out to take care of them. Pricing is great, service was great. I contacted Enervation for a service special and made an appointment over the phone. Bryan and Ethan arrived very promptly and began the process of assessing and checking everything. My A/C unit was only 5 years old, but it ran terribly and my utility bills were skyrocketing. Turns out that unit had been improperly installed and was burning and icing itself to death from the inside. It was very clear to me when Bryan showed me the opened "guts". Bryan clearly explained what was going wrong in very simple to understand terms and offered several options to proceed. No sales pitch, no pressure, and 100% my choice. I opted to replace the entire system with a more efficient one and 3 days later it was installed and ready to go.
