I would not recommend AirSynergy. Our Ruud HVAC system was originally installed by AirSynergy and is less than a year old. Before we even purchased the home, AirSynergy had already made multiple service visits for ongoing issues. After moving in, we discovered the AC still wasn't cooling properly. The first technician overfilled the system, suspected the TXV, and left without fixing the problem or providing a report. A second technician later confirmed the system had been overfilled and again suspected the TXV, but we still received no repair quote or clear plan to resolve the issue. The most frustrating part was the lack of communication. The only way to get any response or action from the office was to escalate the conversation and speak very firmly. It wasn't until I spoke directly with the owner that I finally received a repair quote. By that point, I had completely lost confidence in AirSynergy's workmanship and customer service and no longer wanted them anywhere near my home. I ultimately hired another licensed HVAC company to complete the repair. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend AirSynergy. read more

He was punctual and very thorough in explaining the diagnostic of my air conditioner's issue and the needed repairs. Air Synergy cheated us out of $14,000 under the direction of Mr Mendez who maliciously, willfully and with deliberately disregarded and performed the work outside the parameters laid out by the Contract regarding the Infrastructure Reduction Act, California Department of Energy via Tech Clean program guidelines and approved statues and dates for rebates, thus negating our ability to collect the $14,000 in rebates he promised us to et us to contract with Air Synergy, In fact Air Synergy did not make any contact with Clean Tech until Jan 2025 after our continual insistence. Approved contractors on the "Tech Clean list" are responsible for knowing and following all the rules, regulations and timelines of the program to insure customers are guaranteed the program rebates. Air Synergy failed to perform any of those tasks causing us as the customer to be excluded from the program and rebates in the amount of $14,000. Air Synergy was directly responsible as an "Approved Contractor" for failing to perform the work prior to the start of the programs approved timeline. read more

The AC System and Furnace Model RUUD they sold us does not qualify 2025 tax credit. I thought they were because that what I was told. Reason why our bill never change compared to when we had our old system maybe because they weren't really energy efficient. But to be fair with the installation guys and their job, they were great, fast, clean and respectful. read more

I selected Air Synergy to install a Harvest heat pump system immediately after talking with Alberto. He arrived at my place promptly and described in detail the different options for how I could install the Harvest system to replace my gas furnace and gas water heater. He also suggested adding AC (which my new house did not have) and that has been a lifesaver this year! The work was mainly done by Josue, who did a remarkably clean job installing the system. I never thought a water tank could look sexy, but he made it happen =) The hot water and AC systems have been working flawlessly for the past five months and I couldn't be more happy with everything. Air Synergy was also very helpful getting together all the required paperwork needed for the energy efficiency rebates provided by Energy Smart California. While there was the occasional miscommunication during the permitting process (both with the Oakland Planning department and Air Synergy), they eventually took care of everything after a few months of delays. I asked Air Synergy for a quote on a variable-speed heat pump installation for an office that needed more cooling than the rest of the floor. It was time to finally replace the original 33 year old furnace and AC unit at our home which had been having issues and went out beyond repair. From our initial call speaking with Martha to having the owner, Alberto come and give a thorough look at the old system to make sure we couldn't repair it, to taking the time to talk through the options that we were asking for as we considered our budget. Air synergy replaced our aging HVAC system w heat pump for AC and heating. I got three bids: Air Synergy was by far the best contractor and even had the lowest bid. They answered all my questions without BS, submitted a bid that matched what we talked about, and did the work according to the bid. Very professional and competent. Their system is quiet, uses variable speed compressor and blower, and they were able to use the existing wiring to the the attic so we did not need a new conduit outside the house. Our AC system was well over 20 years old and was the original one when our house was built. We decided we would be proactive to replace it now. Scheduled a consultation and made an appointment. Alberto arrived at the specified appointment window. He took a look at our outdoor compressor, and confirmed we had a plenum coil in the attic space. He also noticed a couple of issues around our furnace setup that were not up to code. Our furnace had been replace 3 years ago. We promptly got our estimate in about a day. We then got on the schedule after confirming with our deposit. On installation day, Mario arrived on time in the morning with a trainee. He explained the plan and answered all my questions. The work would take the entire day. I also mentioned the issues that Alberto found and he said he would check to see what Alberto would confirm to do about them. From 8 to 5, they worked on the project. The new big beast of a Compressor was installed and the new plenum coil as well. The code issues were also taken care of. We really love our new AC now. My furnace's emergency metal pan was filled with water & leaking out into my house. Luis from Air Synergy Heating did a great job assessing the problem & replacing my furnace's old water tubes. Since it wasn't a big repair, I paid for the $79 trip charge & the the time it took him to repair it ($150/hour) which came out to $329. He never tried to up sale me on anything. Our AC unit had stopped working at the start of Summer. We had a tech come out to inspect the unit and were advised that our unit was completely beyond repair and had to be replaced with a correctly sized unit for our home. It was time to request quotes. We reached out to a number of contractors and we received quotes of differing prices and unit size recommendations. We were confused as to why the unit size recommendations varied so much amongst the contractors. Alberto from Air Synergy Heating & Air Conditioning provided us with an enlightening in-depth explanation. He explained that while AC units are usually sized based on square footage, sizing is affected by other factors such as having multiple climate controlled zones in a home as well. We chose to give our business to Air Synergy based on the professional presentation we experienced, their timeframe for project completion, and their quote proposals. Multiple quote proposals were given to us which offered not only very great price packages, but options to choose from a variety of AC units which would cool our home efficiently. Am totally impressed with Air Synergy regarding the job they did for our dual zone system install. We decided to go with the Mitsubishi Heatpump option, as it was the most cost-efficient in the long run. Alberto spent a few hours mapping out our house and sent the estimate after our consult the same-day. The estimate, alone, was clearly written, thorough, and had all the schematics laid out for the job. We signed the dotted line that same day and were so excited to get our new system! The work was scheduled the following week! From the first day of work, Josue and Shawn arrived on time and ready to go. I even received timely text messages notifying me when they would arrive onsite. The system we put in is very intricate since we had to do a unit upstairs in the attic, all the way through down to the garage. Josue and Shawn were very polite & personable and communicated every step of the work they were doing for us. They explained in detail, and were open to any questions we had. It was very helpful to understand the phases of the work being done. We also had a change order the first day for air purifiers added (considering California fire season is a regular occurrence now), and Martha got the change-order documents to us via email within the hour. Air Synergy is a well oiled machine and every moving part was swiftly addressed, with no pause. Back to the job: Unfortunately, we had 2 other work crews on site doing our windows and floors (we are expecting so we needed to get all the work done asap) but Josue and Shawn were very patient & flexible since it was a bit of a construction zone with so many guys working on top of each other. It was hectic but they truly made the best of it and didn't complain or express any grievances. The fourth and final day of the work, Josue, Shawn, and Sergio tied up all the loose ends and ensured everything was working properly. Explained how to operate each unit (upstairs and downstairs) and told us to contact them if we ever ran into any issues. I would absolutely hire Air Synergy again, if I could! Alberto has an amazing team and we had an outstanding experience, overall. They cleaned up after each day of work and essentially worked non-stop for 4 days on a job that I would think would take 10+ days to do. The initial inspection was done by Luis who was extremely professional and respectful to the property. He explained everyting he was checking and even showed me where the numbers should be reading and ultimatly determined I likely needed a new system. From there, the owner came to my house and took the time to explain all my options and made it extremely easy to pick a system that worked with our budget. The installation crew was just as professional. They were on-time, very respectful of the property, explained all the installations they were doing and when they were done- they left everything cleaner than when they had arrived. We've had 3 companies here for maintenance and for fixing problems since we bought the house 8 months ago. Luis was our guy both times with Air Synergy and both times I would rate his work as 5 star. He serviced our A/C in April and just added some refrigerant. He checked to be sure that's all we needed and spent about 1 hour here. The second time I called for heater maintenance and he went up in the attic for over 1 hour and took pictures and did a bunch of stuff. He noted that the capacitor that another company had replaced was the wrong one and too powerful for the system. He will replace it with the correct one.
