I was a new homeowner in 2022 when Vic (the owner) and his company, Elite Comfort Systems, saved my…read morefamily (including the feline members) from sweltering in 100+F degree weather by diagnosing and repairing my air conditioner. Since then, they've serviced the almost 22 year old system at my home, nursing it along. With each semi-annual "check-up" service, they advised me on what I needed to do, and what could wait. When funds were tight, they suggested stopgaps to help. Because of this history, when Alex showed me that my heater was leeching carbon monoxide into my home, I knew I could trust him. While I waited for my appointment, I was provided with space heaters gratis. This IS an independently owned business, and they treat customers like family. Ozzy (Osvaldo) and Anthony installed a new heat pump and air conditioner for me last week. They were at my home three days. Not only were they professional, friendly, and polite, they were also respectful of my home--taking time EVERY day to cover my carpeted areas, covering their boots as they came into and exited the house, and cleaning up any installation debris before they left each day. Ozzy and Anthony discovered that a part of the original system was not going to work as efficiently with the new system (the dampers) given the difference in the size. Ozzy explained the difference to me, noted the cost, and the pros and cons. He didn't pressure me to upgrade the items but he made sure I had enough information to make a decision. At the end of the installation, Ozzy took the time to show me how to use the new digital thermostat controls and gave me tips on how to use the system economically. He provided me information on how to follow up if there were ever any problems. Just like other times, Vic called a few days later to see how things were going (I missed the call, but still...so so kind and thoughtful). It's a lot of money to replace your entire HVAC system, no matter which company you use, but hiring one where you know you can trust the company. Simply put, you'll never have worries about trusting Elite Comfort Systems.

I installed a unit, but apparently I didn't ferrule my lines very well, and it lasted a week. (the…read moreold lines from the previous Chinese unit were 6 inches of copper soldered to aluminum to 6 inches of copper, which gives 4 more places to leak so I didn't use them; that unit's motherboard failed.) They wanted $4,169 to fix my lines (new ferraled lines from the manufacturer are $150, and to refill ($125 in freon) total job one hour for me To redo everything, $8,929 I recently installed in my 2,400-square-foot home a whole new heating and AC system for $24,000. They also wanted to redo my 115 volt lines to 220 volts. This system does NOT run on 220 volts. He mentioned how it uses less electricity. NO, it does not. I'm an electrician. 115 volts, 20 amp is the same as 220 volts, 10 amps because 220 volt is 2-115 volt lines, which are 10 amps each line = 20 amps. and he said my water drain wasn't installed properly, but it was according to the manufacturer. (just drain it outside, period.) My unit from 'Heat and Cool' was only $400 without the AC lines; this is the 4th unit I've installed and only one that failed my installation. it comes with a 1-year warranty, 5/7 if you get an ac guy to install it and 7/10 for an extra $150 Well, Elite isn't going to slap their sticker on this unit, so they will lose future business. That's NOT good business; that's simply greed

Unfortunately, your response omits several important objective facts that I discussed with you…read moredirectly during our phone conversation. First, repeatedly referring to my furnace as "a 1996 furnace" is misleading. While the cabinet was originally installed in 1996, all major internal components were professionally replaced five years ago. Multiple licensed HVAC contractors immediately recognized the refurbishment during their inspections and all independently concluded that my furnace was in excellent operating condition with decades of service life remaining. More concerning was your technician's sales presentation. I was told my furnace was a fire hazard, posed a carbon monoxide risk, and required replacement in the interest of safety. Those are serious claims. Yet four independent licensed HVAC contractors disagreed with that assessment, and none recommended replacing the furnace. Instead, they all recommended replacing only the air conditioner. You also claim the photos your technician showed me were legitimate. That claim is difficult to reconcile with what I personally witnessed. I watched all four of the other contractors perform their inspections in real time. They each inserted their phones into my furnace, showed me live video from inside the unit, and provided photographs of the internal components. All four sets of images were consistent with one another. None resembled the photos your technician used to justify replacing my furnace. That discrepancy is exactly why I sought multiple independent opinions before making an $18,000 decision. During our phone call, I explained all of this to you and provided the context regarding the refurbishment. Your public response ignores those facts and instead repeatedly relies on the original installation date to justify the recommendation somehow. My review was never about whether homeowners can replace both systems at the same time. Many choose to do so. My concern was being told that I NEEDED to replace a recently refurbished, fully functional furnace because it was supposedly unsafe. After obtaining four independent opinions, I concluded that your recommendation was not supported by objective facts. "Facts don't care about your feelings" the saying goes. Prospective customers can draw their own conclusions. I certainly did, which is why I sought additional opinions before authorizing nearly $18,000 in work. That decision saved me thousands of dollars, a potential service install nightmare (see the numerous 1 star reviews by others) and I stand by my review.
