Where has Kavita been my whole life!!!?? I was fed up after months of being in pain, trying everything and anything and not feeling any long term relief on my left foot after breaking my toe and causing major havoc on the rest of my foot. I have been wearing an Aircast for months and decided to try acupuncture for the first time. I went through my insurance to find a provider near me. I called, left a voicemail and she called back quickly, the process was seamless to get started and more importantly I was able to schedule an appointment that same week. She emailed me some general intake forms that I brought in for the first appointment and she told me to eat a good breakfast and wear loose and comfortable clothing. During the first consult she was nice, attentive and asking great questions to better understand the struggles I had faced since breaking my toe. She asked me to lay down and she started her "magic"...I am not trying to diminish her passion, commitment and extensive studies she has done to be able to practice this healing treatment. I say magic only because flash forward to now, 6 treatments in and going weekly and I feel wonderful, little by little since the first appointment I have noticed improvement and the pain has lessened tremendously. The magic is in truly feeling well, and realizing what it means to not have daily pain. It really is all about mind, body and soul in healing. I have a high tolerance to pain, but that doesn't mean that I should be suffering daily. Once she inserts the needles in various points, you are laying down in a wonderful warm, cocoon of a room as you think wonderful, positive, happy thoughts. Keep in mind that you leave soooo relaxed, so try to schedule your appointments when you are not rushing and stressing out after, so this mindset lingers for awhile longer. She is an amazing and a wonderful woman and I only have great things to say about her. She takes various insurance plans but I know she also does appointments where you would just pay out of pocket. If you have done acupuncture or are hesitant and never have tried it, I highly recommend her. Give yourself this act of self-care. read more

I only had one appointment with Kavita after deciding to try a more holistic, eastern approach to my care. She was lovely--warm, kind, and genuinely interested in understanding the full picture of my health. I really appreciated her thoroughness and the time she took to ask questions, which showed genuine care for my overall well-being. She was also responsive by email, which I valued. That said, a few things made the experience challenging for me personally. The office felt cramped and warm, and I wasn't prepared for how long the session would run. While I valued the time Kavita took to hear my health history, the visit ended up being much longer than expected. At one point, I was left waiting while she started another patient's appointment. I could see that she was flexible and caring with her patients, but it also meant I was left in limbo, in an environment where I didn't feel at ease. Once treatment started, I felt extremely uncomfortable. I had worn loose joggers that could easily roll up, but I still ended up in just my underwear on the table with no sheet or blanket. I felt extremely exposed. Scheduling was tricky too--while I appreciated being offered a next-day intake, follow-ups weren't available in advance and were instead offered on short notice, which didn't fit well with my needs. I did experience some soreness after treatment, but that can happen and may just have been my body's reaction. Ultimately, Kavita herself was wonderful--warm, attentive, and clearly dedicated to her patients. For me, the environment and scheduling didn't end up being the best fit, but I can see why others might have a very positive experience here. read more

I went to receive treatment from Kavita for tennis elbow that had not gone in 3 years in spite of steroids and PT.I have also been a migraine patient for 30+ years. I used to have migraine episodes every 3 days and since I started my treatment with her the migraines have gone down to almost none in the last few months and tennis elbow pain is down as well tremendously. I would highly recommend Kavita! I've been going to her every week since Nov 13, 2018 and she is a godsend. I can tell she really cares about her patients and that she is really experienced and knows what she is doing. Every week, she will ask me if I am having any issues, she will check my tongue and pulse...I went in with many problems: Lower back pain, shoulder pain, depression, stress/anxiety, and fertility. I must give her credit, because I truly believe she is the reason I am HAPPILY 12.5 weeks pregnant right now, with no bad symptoms!!! Before seeing her, my obgyn said I had PCOS. I was considered overweight from my BMI (5'2" 156lbs), "obese for an asian" was the obgyn's words...and due to the fact that I had irregular cycles. I was devastated to hear that and was trying my best to change my diet and exercise plan...but when I went to Kavita, she told me "You are not overweight. You don't have PCOS if the tests don't show that you have it" (because she asked if they tested anything or looked at my ovaries... my blood tests for my hormones were within normal levels and I didn't have a sonogram) so she gave me HOPE. I used Kavita at Enervive when I lived in Fremont for migraine headaches I was having for over three months. I had not used acupuncture before but Kavita made me feel very comfortable and I was able to relax and get the relief I was looking for. After my second visit is when I noticed the relaxation felt throughout my body a;;owing my muscles to not be so tense. I've been to a few acupuncturists over the years and Kavita is as good as it gets! I had terrible headaches and neck and shoulder pain for over a year. She actually took some time to interview me to understand my situation holistically. In one treatment I experienced about 80% pain reduction. (Also, an allergic rash I've had decided to clear up in just the next couple days, I did mention this to her but wasn't expecting anything for that) The second treatment pretty much finished it off. Kavita is a miracle worker . For over a year I had unbearable shoulder pain the dr prescribed me pain meds - did an ekg and X-ray and COULDNT figure out what the pain was caused by or how to resolve. I didn't want to continue taking medication forever so I decided to try acupuncture. Any pain? Pregnant? Do yourself a favor: SEEK KAVITA. My experience here has been amazing to say the least. Kavita is kindhearted, intelligent, soft handed. She puts your well being on the forefront. I have never ever felt so taken cared of. I was miserable, barely able to stand to wash a dish, take a shower, do any of my basic needs at 27 weeks of pregnancy due to a back injury. I was so hopeless and in such pain. Just one week I had such improvements that I didn't even need my physical therapy appointments. After three weeks I could go back to work. I went from barely able to stand, to being on my feet for an 8 hour shift in the hospital in three sessions with Kavita. If your skeptical of Accupuncture, my advice is don't be. It works!
