Today I went with my son and niece to Eneslow Shoes & Orthotics to look for rocker shoes for myself, and it was such a wonderful experience. We had first stopped at another orthotics shoe store that didn't carry any rockers. My son then remembered Eneslow, where my niece had previously purchased her shoes and was extremely happy with them. She actually wore her new pair when we went back, which says it all! When we arrived, we were fortunate to meet Raul again. He had helped my niece before, and once again he was so patient, helpful, and friendly. He really knows his products and immediately understood the type of rocker shoe I was looking for. He took his time with us, answered all our questions, and made sure I felt comfortable with the choices. Raul was just as attentive and helpful with my niece as well, which we truly appreciated. To make the day even more special, my son surprised me by buying two pairs for Valentine's Day. It was truly such a thoughtful Valentine's surprise and very much needed! I absolutely love my shoes. For example, if you are on your feet all day is different than sitting at a desk all day. The majority of the shoes & sneakers are stylish. Staff very helpful and products diverse! I appreciated their time and care to suit my needs. They even searched something online for me that they thought useful, but they themselves didn't carry. Old-fashioned concern for the customer beyond the profit-is-all mind-set. I did buy 3 pair of shoes (one that worked in bad weather, one fancy and one everyday summer. I went to this establishment and was wonderfully greeted by Eli. I absolutely love it when someone loves what they do and know what they are talking about. I should've written this review months ago when I purchased my first pair of orthopedics! This gentleman took his time and was so patient with me because I had so many questions. The experience took me back to my childhood when my mom would take me to Buster Brown to get a pair of shoes and the salesman would measure my feet and find the perfect pair of shoes for me! Very nostalgic! He even tied my sneakers and showed me how to walk properly! We need more people in the service industry like Eli these days. They are a dying breed! UNPROFESSIONAL, CLASSLESS, RUDE, INATTENTIVE, My mother and I visited this show store and were not greeted and finally a salesman Tony asked us of we needed help. My mom informed him of the type of shoes she needs and he barely gave the necessary attention, instead brought out shoes we didnt ask for threw them on a seat said try them on and attempted to make other sales with other customers. We asked for specific shoes he could care less. Two times he had an attitude and we let it slide, on the third time His words were as follows "I already told you werent you listening"? At this point i told him to not have an attitude and he decided to get very close to my personal space and yelled and had an attitude so we left. read more

For the past 2.5 weeks, I'm constantly calling every few days to see if their order shipped to them for inserts. Someone said they're busy and going to give a call back today and when I call right before their closing hours, no one picks up and I have to leave a message. I signed up for Yelp just to give Eneslow a good review. A few weeks ago, a gentleman named Jordan spent a good deal of time evaluating my walk (despite a very busy shop), told me that I must have problems with twisting and spraining my ankle (indeed I have my whole life, even breaking it twice!) and supplied me with just the right inserts to support my rolling foot problem and the right shoes to strengthen the muscles around my ankles. I've seen doctors for this problem and had PT, but nothing has really helped. For over 10 years, I could never run without hurting myself or severe ankle pain, and last weekend i ran for about 40 mins without a single ankle ache! read more

I brought in shoes for repair. I was initially told it would be a week and half, then 2 weeks, and now they have had them for almost 4 weeks. These were my father's only shoes. He has had to reschedule 5 dr. appts and cancel a trip he had planned for months. Turns out Eneslow had the shoes for a week before even sending them out for repair. No on called me with with updates. I tried to speak with people and did not get calls back until I showed up in the store in person. I was then told they would have the shoes at the end of the week. It is now the end of the week. Still no shoes. No one called to tell me. I had to call again. When someone finally returned my call I was told they are not coming in and I should call someone else on Monday for an update. I paid $742 up front and now calling all of their locations is becoming a part-time job. If you can avoid using this store for custom shoes I suggest you do. read more

Beware, Eneslow is not what they used to be.... I have been a customer of Eneslow for many years. I have a job that requires me to attend trade shows which require me to walk many miles in a pair of shoes. I went to them because they had highly trained salespeople who would really fit shoes to your feet, and a great customer service attitude if something was not quite right. I think times have changed. I recently purchased a new pair of shoes for $350 (that's a big investment for me!) from Beautifeel. This is a brand highly recommended by my salesperson. They felt good in the store. I wore them for two days and my feet were killing me. I simply could not walk another day. I returned to the store today for help, and what I got was 2 salespeople who really didn't seem to care. Basically they said that they were not responsible and wouldn't consider a return. They said there was really nothing they could do except to try stretching them (not good for very expensive shoes that should fit the way they are). There was no concern about the fact that they sold me shoes that didn't fit, there was no management to talk to, and basically I walked out with shoes I can't wear. read more

It now appears that $163.00 is down the drain. First, have had considerable trouble finding a good pair of athletic shoes. I did try another "comfort shoe" place but they sold me a pair of New Balance that tortured my feet. Coming to places like these you take a chance but had nothing to lose (except 2 dys wages). In 3/13, came in on a Saturday and dealt with Jerry who seemed like an a knowledgable older fellow. I explained that I had no luck with New Balance and would he help me. Out of three pairs tried on, a New Balance pair fit the best. After a few days, one of them is torturing my left foot. Came back twice, Jerry did some alterations but still uncomfortable. Bringing back a third time will probably be futile. For attempting to help me, I give a thumbs up. For the product that was sold to me, thumbs down. When I get the chance, will either donate shoes to a homeless shelter or the Salvation Army. In the meantime, will explore getting a custom made shoe. read more

Spent an hour in the store with a very nice patient sales person who tried to get my wife comfortable in a pair of hoka sneakers and sold us an 8 1/2 pair and never told us the sneakers were a 9. In the store he knew a 9 was not her size and obviously sent us with a 9 in his fervor to make a sale. When I called to complain he said he got confused and had an 8 1/2 and to come back and he would exchange it. When I went back he had no 8 1/2 and he tried to say he was confused. This was an obvious bait and switch and I would warn people to carefully check the shoes and box before leaving the store. I did get a refund but it was a big wast of time in a hot day to be mislead. read more

2 years ago I went to the Eneslows in midtown. I couldn't believe how helpful and attentive the sales associate was. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name. Fast forward to 9/30/18. I stopped in today at the location on 2nd Avenue between 78th and 79th instead of Tip Top or Harry's because of how great they were on my last visit. It was about 5:20. I needed shoes to fit my new orthotics. A very nice lady began to help me but she already had a customer. I realized she was busy and it was close to closing time, so I asked the man Pedro Sanchez if he could help me and he blatantly said, "No. I don't want to get involved. I'm about to close down. " Wow. I put my shoes back on and picked up my purse to leave. The woman came over to ask me if I still wanted to try on another pair. I told her Thank you, but I would be returning to the midtown location. I was truly offended by the former associates response to me. I won't return there again. read more

I personally never visited the store but I was indirectly ripped off by them so I think I owe them a review. My mother have foot problems and she is going to several different doctors and treatments to be able to walk. She was prescribed medicated shoe soles, so she decided to go to this store and get custom comfortable shoes for the soles. First never in a million years I would personally pay over 100$ for a pair of shoes. They all go on your feet, wear and tear as we walk. I don't understand why the prices of the shoes are so high in this store, all shoes are made in an outsourced location and cost about 20$max for the best pair to be manufactured. Anyway my mom got a pair of shoes she thought was comfortable at the moment, she wore them to a doctor's appointment the next day her and her foot pain got worst than ever before. She took the shoes back with in the 3 days as their 'return policy' says but the manager was extremely rude to her and told her they cannot return the shoes because she had worn them already. The shoes were clean as they can be they were worn once on carpet floor for 2 hours. No signs of wear and tear. Needless to say that I paid 200$ for a pair of shoes that are of no use, my mom wears size 6 and I wear 9, there is no way I am fitting in them. The store needs to work on their so called 'return policy' and treat all customers with respect. I also sensed speck to racism towards my mom, since her english isn't great but she gets the point across. Shoes are meant to be worn there is no way someone can tell if the shoes are comfortable without wearing them. read more
