14kt gold rings (and diamonds) were brought in 9/12/22 to remake engagement ring and one men's wedding band to match existing woman's band. Told what was wanted could be done and given an estimate. This jeweler kept everything for over 11 weeks and did NOTHING. Picked up everything on 12/1/22 after Steve Parkhurst wouldn't answer his phone when trying to following up, and never called back when promised. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS SHOP - THEY ARE NOT "JEWELERS" - THIS IS STOREFRONT THAT SELLS HIGH-END WATCHES! When Steve farmed out the engagement ring to a cheap jeweler in the same building, the diamonds were removed, and this jeweler did a very sloppy job re-pronging the diamonds after he realized he could not do the design. I recently relocated to downtown San Diego with my husband. I had been looking for a diamond store to clean my engagement ring and band. I stumbled upon the Engagement Guys and I am SO happy that I did. I spoke with Steve Parkhurst, the owner. I explained to him that my rings were custom made in the diamond district of New York City and that I was VERY particular about my rings being clean and apprehensive about walking in somewhere blind that I did not have a prior relationship with. Steve was reassuring and took the best of care of my rings. They were steamed and cleaned. I have NEVER seen them look better since the day we got engaged. They are more sparkly than I remember. His attention to detail was suburb and my eyes lit up when I placed the rings back on my finger. I will certainly be back to visit Steve for all future cleanings.
