Very disappointing experience…read more I was so excited to visit this toy store because I truly love supporting family-owned businesses. I went in looking for NeeDoh toys for my kids. The shelves were mostly sold out, but when I called, I was told they would be receiving a shipment soon. Like any parent trying to find something their kids really want, I rushed over. Thankfully, they did have some NeeDoh in stock, and I was happy to finally find a place that carried them. The man working there, who seemed to be the manager or possibly the owner, was helpful at first. I was able to purchase a couple and asked about a specific NeeDoh my kids had been searching for. He told me it would arrive in the afternoon. I offered to leave my phone number so I wouldn't have to keep driving back and forth, but he said not to worry and that he would keep one aside for me. He didn't take my number. Later that afternoon, I called to check, and he seemed annoyed that I was following up. I decided to stop by the next day since my kids were collecting them. When I walked in, he gave me a look as if he was irritated that I was back. I politely asked again about the item, explaining how excited my kids would be. He said it wasn't in yet but would arrive later and that he would call me -- even though he never took my number, which surprised me. I purchased another item he had on the counter while still waiting for the specific one my kids wanted. During checkout, he seemed annoyed again. I brushed it off and left. I never received a call. When I tried calling the next day, no one answered. I even called the other store location, but again there was no answer. So I decided to visit the other store in person. The same man was there, and he clearly recognized me. He gave me a look as if to say, "You again," and ignored me while I walked around the store. When I approached him to ask about Jellycat items, he simply pointed behind the counter where they were displayed and didn't offer to show them to me. They were behind the register -- how was I supposed to look at them? His behavior felt dismissive and rude, so I left. I am a paying customer who has already spent over $150 there, simply trying to buy toys for my children. Unfortunately, due to the poor customer service and repeated rude interactions, I will not be returning. I had hoped to support a small business, but this experience was extremely disappointing. I will also be sharing my experience with friends so they can decide where they'd like to spend their money

There is a back play area by the infant toys. While walking around, associates would keep letting us know to let them know if we needed anything. Out of the 2 locations I've been to, this has a better parking lot as well. Since the store is a lot bigger, that means a lot more selection of figures, books, manga, videos and more. In general, I do enjoy this store as it has great value. I found quite a few things that were quite cheaper here than if you go to a large retail store. If you have anything that you may want to get rid of (but works very well or in good shape) you can see if they're willing to it and give you an estimate. The staff are helpful to help you (the best of their ability) to find what you are looking for or need.

In some cases, their used prices actually exceed MSRP. For example, they're charging $70 for a loose, boxless copy of Pokémon Legends: Z-A for the Nintendo Switch 2--which is full retail price for a second-hand, incomplete item. Their trade-in values are just as bad. It's not uncommon for them to offer you a tenth of what they plan to resell your item for. I get that the secondhand market relies on profit margins, and that they're banking on uninformed sellers looking for quick cash, but they're doing it at the expense of their loyal, long-time community. At this point, books are the only category where you can still find a decent deal. For anything else, you're much better off using eBay or finding a different store.
