We visited Englin's in Kokomo Friday and were incredibly impressed with the knowledge, maturity and customer service we received from Mallory. Her engagement skills are super and she invests time in ensuring her customers receive the best service. She loves her work and connects easily with her customers and is an outstanding employee! I updated my review to 4 stars because the people who work at Englin's Kokomo are awesome. They are super nice, helpful, smart, and capable. The Englin's approach to special orders is NOT the fault of the people who work in the store. I've kept going back to Englin's for years not only for the shoes, but because sometimes it's nice to talk to someone in a store who can help figure out what you need and ensure you get it. Englin's offers customer service that you rarely see these days, and I greatly appreciate that. And yet,,,while Englin's used to have a great shoe selection, their inventory has been taken over by Uggs, most of which look more like poufs for dusting shelves than shoes for feet. Englin's also stopped carrying my favorite brand, Vionics, though you can still order Vionics through the store. I made the mistake of doing so. I could have ordered new Vionics online through many sites for delivery within a day or two. Instead, I ordered them through Englin's and 2 weeks later, I am still awaiting their arrival. By the time I get my shoes, I will have waited 3 weeks. These shoes have been in stock (in the warehouse) and are not back ordered. This is the second time I've ordered shoes through the store. The last time was just as frustrating. In this "modern world", there is simply NO REASON that it should take 3 weeks to ship something that is in stock domestically. There are very fast delivery options these days, so the problem with Englin's is related to Englin's. (It doesn't help that they used Ground and the shoes will spend over a week in transit.) The ordering process at Englin's is obsolete and the company will not remain viable unless they can compete with modern companies that ship merchandise - often for delivery the very same day. There is either an ineffective process or a failure to prioritize customer orders. This is especially disappointing to me because, as Englin's has increased their Ugg stock and eliminated Vionics, there are fewer and fewer shoes in the store that interest me. To keep and win back customers, Englin's should audit its ordering processes to identify inefficiencies, eliminate delays, and prioritize prompt shipment, including using faster shipping than Ground when the customer has already been waiting 2 weeks. read more

I ordered Ugg boots 11/26/2022 for my daughter for Christmas and it is Jan 4th 2023, and I STILL have not received them!!! No one told me they could be back ordered and take this long to arrive! I called once and a worker just said "they aren't in yet". RIDICULOUS! read more

When I need shoes, Englin's is my go to! I always get fantastic service and I love their shoes! Last time I bet she had 10 boxes of shoes around her chair before we were done. Always willing to go get another pair, or find a similar pair in my size so I can try them on. If I order shoes they are delivered to my doorstep which is a huge time saver. read more

I went into the Kokomo store to purchase a pair of dress shoes and possibly a pair of casual shoes. I picked up several shoes that I was interested in but, not a one had a price on them. Is this a new process? I have been in the store in the past and they had prices clearly marked. Not my way to shop. Walked out. read more

I came in this store to order my Dansko nursing clogs. I was greeted by a women staff member who was trying to help me. I have wore dansko clogs for years. I know what size I wear. The women continued to tell me what size I was so she brought me that size I tried them on they were too big like I knew they would be. She then tells me they fit like they should. I then tell her that I don't like how they feel I would like a size 35. She says I don't have that size but I can order them. I said great! She ordered them Stated that she wasn't sure of the delivery date. Gave me a receipt! I put it in my wallet ( not checking my receipt ) my fault! I did receive the shoe 2 days later by mail ( great turn around time )! She ordered me the size 36 the size she said over and over I need to get , the size I tried in at the store. I will be returning these and getting my $$ back! I will continue to purchase my dansko at the scrub store where they will give me my size I requesting and I will save 20% for hospital discount. So much for trying to give the small shoe store my business. read more
