Dunham's Sports in Kokomo sits right next to Markland Mall, with the convenience of its own outside entrance along with a connection to the mall hallway. The store has plenty of the typical sporting essentials, which is nice when you're in a rush. I came in to pick up a hoody, but they didn't have my size available. Looking around for other apparels, the size availability seems to be a bit random, but maybe it was just experience at that time? Staff is technically around, but getting assistance depends heavily on timing and luck. I thought I noticed a restroom in the corner, though I'm not totally certain. The visit wasn't as smooth or efficient as I expected, and the overall experience didn't really stand out. Because of that, I probably won't be back. prices seem to be a little high and items available seem to be a little thin. No pressure on this store to step up the level of service with having no other competition in town. Just recently another sports store has moved to town with a larger selection, but it still has not changed this store. Probably because the new store has a much better selection, but pricing there is even higher. read more

I tried a couple pair which (again) didn't work, so I came back to return them. Kelsey was there again and recommend the "athletic" cut jeans, which were in the back. She went looking for his size, even went back a second time for an alternate size. She never complained, never rolled her eyes and seemed genuinely concerned that I get helped. It's hard to find good service these days, but I appreciated her help and patience. She exceeded my expectations and the jeans we eventually found fit as well as can be reasonably expected. The only alternative would be spending $150 on a pair of specialty jeans. He's got a belt.

I went back to my vehicle and they let another couple walk over and stand in the cold, (when it 15 degrees out) for 10 minutes. while a employee stood on her phone at the door inside without a care. There's a front and back entrance, the back has 1-2 reserved parking spots. It's a fairly small place but packed with stuff: sleeping bags to keep you warm in the mountains, apparel from brands like Patagonia, water bottles, candles that smell amazing, camping chairs, knives, and more! The customer service is out of this world. Multiple folks working, all really friendly. When you ask to see something from the case, they answer questions about the product t but don't try to sell it - thank god, that is annoying and it's nice to not have that pressure. Knew nothing about the brand before walking in. Felt confident I made the right purchase as I walked out. Stop by the store and warm your hands by the fire outside or go inside to visit with the friendly shop dog. No one is going to rush you.
