We had a great experience at Enoteca, most of which is because of the terrific service our Nepalese waitress gave! She was terrific, attentive without being pushy, provided information on the dishes offered and their preparation, as well as being willing to connect with us when we asked about her story. Wonderful! Our food was delicious and prepared very well - those cannelloni....YUM! We shared a ceasar salad and ate every bite. I was offered tastings of 2 wines prior to making my selection. Took a trip with friends to Sonoma and stumbled across this wonderful restaurant! The ambiance was amazing, as we dined in a courtyard style garden. We didn't have a reservation and were seated within 5 minutes of arriving. I had the duck raft and it was so good. Creamy, decadent, and overall such a delicious combo. My friends all had the tortellini alla panna, and it was just as delicious. The sauces tasted fresh and the pasta was cooked to perfection. We walked into Enoteca expecting a nice dinner, but instead we were met with one of the most dismissive attitudes l've ever experienced at a restaurant. The host told us he could "squeeze us in," but followed it up by saying we should be grateful for it - not in a joking way, but in a tone that made it clear they thought they were doing us a huge favor by letting us dine there at all. It felt insulting, as if we weren't welcome customers but rather an inconvenience. When we tried to calmly address how that came across, he rolled his eyes and tried to rephrase what he had said, which only made the interaction more unprofessional. At that point, we no longer felt comfortable staying and left to eat elsewhere - where we were treated with the basic courtesy and respect every guest deserves. With so many excellent restaurants in the area, Enoteca is not one I would ever recommend. No one should be made to feel like a burden for simply wanting to enjoy a meal. read more

Loved the ambiance here! Their outdoor seating is beautiful, almost like a garden with a fountain. Staff was super friendly also. We ordered 2 different pastas, and it didn't disappoint! We got the gnocchi and the duck papperdelle with truffle oil. The gnocchi was cooked perfectly and wasn't mushy, very much comfort food! The papperdelle was cooked al dente, and I loved how I could taste the truffle oil. Both pastas reminded me of real pasta like from Italy! I couldn't stop eating the bread, mainly because of the balsamic! It was a little thicker than your normal balsamic vinegar but not as thick of a glaze. It was sweet, and I couldn't stop dipping my bread in it with oil. For dessert we got the torta di cioccolata, it was delicious! Loved the chocolate mousse with the cherry liquor on top, and the amaretto crust was a nice touch! Definitely want to come back for their pastas! read more

Such good food. We came to Sonoma for their Holiday lighting of the Palm tree in their Gigantic town square and boy was it spectacular. There were a few food vendors but we wanted a sure thing and went to Enoteca Della Santina for a nice glass of wine and some food. We ordered the polenta, with mushrooms. Sorry no picture, it is formed it into a muffin shape and placed on a plate of savory sauce with mushrooms. Then we ordered the Burrata with radicchio and slices of prosciutto. We shared both small dishes and it was plenty with the warm crispy bread and their own fantastic olive oil and balsamic vinegar. We downed it with a wonderful Super Tuscany wine. They sell and serve wines from around the world and have a unique wine club, they host local winemaker tastings and have fantastic wine events. This place is a sure pleaser, very welcoming, their trattoria is next door and just as welcoming. There are plenty of locals that come here and it's a perfect place to take visiting family and friends and for special occasions. We will be back. read more

Della Santina is a lovely Italian restaurant in Sonoma only steps from the plaza square. The atmosphere is relaxing and fairly quiet even with a packed house. I don't understand the difference between Enoteca Della Santina and Della Santina, as we were told the menu is the same for both. That being said our food was so overcooked that it was inedible. The outdoor patio, while quaint and charming, is in desperate need of a refresh. The menus under the glass tabletops are tacky, and a clear sign that Della Santina is not an upscale restaurant, even though they are trying to price it as such. read more

This place is a hidden gem if you like real, Tuscan food made by a true Italian from Tuscany! Home made bread, super food and sweet balsamico, and delicious olive oil!
