Wow! Enoteca Italia delivered an incredible SMU graduation dinner!!! Jeanna, the owner, was absolutely amazing accommodating special requests (gluten free, mobility accessibility) and making the evening absolutely wonderful. My husband said the dinner for 8 people felt like we were guests in someone's home!!!! Jeanna is an old school restauranteur, and her hospitality is unmatched in Dallas. The graciousness of the staff, generosity and special attention to details is rare and so lovely. We have had dinner at Enoteca Italia many times before and the food is spectacular in every way. Delicious, curated and consistent. The servers are so well trained and kind. The short ribs are spectacular! The lasagna is the best lasagna, ever! House made pastas, including gluten free pasta, is spectacular and such a treat for my celiac husband and gluten free family. I had halibut and it was extraordinary. This chef-owned/family-owned restaurant serves from-scratch food and provides a fun atmosphere perfect for any occasion. I highly recommend and found it worth the price for most items. We can't wait to go back again and again and again! Notes: The hostess let us sit at our table even though not everyone from our group arrived yet (evening traffic!). They validate parking, but only for up to two hours. You can park in the garage attached to the building. The tables come with small coat/purse stands so you don't need to use the back of your chair. The food was amazing here at Enoteca. We shared the calamari and focaccia bread. The bread had pockets of cheese drizzled in honey and was so amazing! The only complaint was the service. we came here on valentine's day and first off the service was impeccable. staff was really friendly and it definitely was one of the best experiences i've had. the place was very tidy, clean and pretty too. there was also a convenient parking garage so that was nice. for food, we got the calamari and focaccia which were both really good. and entrees we got the tortellini carbonara and seafood linguini which were both really good as well. portion sizes were decent compared to a lot of higher end restaurants. overall would come again great restaurant read more

My brother dined in and raved about it so much that I had to go the next day. Service was great and they offered individual coat racks to everyone! We loved the food, I got the short rib and it was such a big portion that I saved some for my lunch the next day. The lobster ravioli wasn't my fave due to the slight fishy taste but my boyfriend liked it. And that focaccia.. I've never had anything like it, the honeycomb was the best part. I've had this place on my list to go to for a long time and I finally made it out to meet with a friend. Overall it was a really nice time, but it didn't start out that way. To begin, I would not recommend using their valet even though it is free, because they seem to only have one person working it so it takes forever for them to take your car. We had to wait for over 10 minutes for the valet guy to come back to his post, meanwhile I'm stopped in the middle of the street with car having to drive around me. It would have been much faster to just park in their garage which is also free for I think 2 hours once validated by the restaurant. The valet also didn't have a system for keeping track of the cars, no key tag, number to text, or anything, he just asked for my name and said he would remember me. That didn't seem like the safest process to me. Not to mention, when we picked our car up he just gave me the key to drive it off from the space myself instead. Valet aside, the restaurant was really nice inside and had good balance of not quite fine dining, but also not too casual, which is what I was looking for. They also decorated for the holidays and the red bows overhanging were a nice touch. As an Italian restaurant, they had plenty of pasta options however our entire table decided to go with the waitress recommended Pollo Parmesan. I think we all were interested in the fact that it contained both red and white sauce, so it allowed us to have the best of both worlds. I wasn't sure how it would mix well at first, but it ending up complementing each other nicely. Lastly, the ladies also appreciate that they provided a bag hanger for their purses. First Visit - July 19 We discovered Enoteca Italia almost by accident and booked a 7:30 pm double date. I only managed one photo (the focaccia--don't skip it!), but every dish was incredible. Our server, Gino, was training a new team member and was fantastic--knowledgeable, attentive, and fun. We also met Gina, owner/manager who happily chatted with us about the menu and the restaurant. I witnessed a lot of delicious entrees going by! Second Visit - August 28 This time we did not make a reservation because we sometimes just get a craving for Italian and must have it. It was a great decision because the bar was pretty empty so we had it all to ourselves pretty much! We ran into Gina again and she introduced us to Chris, the bartender as we sat at the cozy horseshoe-shaped bar, which has a single tv, and a relaxed vibe. The food again came out fresh, hot and full flavor. My spaghetti pappardelle is now firmly in my Dallas Top 3--and is #1 now with those silky noodles and to me the color was perfect and the pasta was perfection! I finished it all and felt afterwards! My husband agreed it was every bit as good as the city's more famous Italian spots (yes, even Il Bracco!). It's really close but there's just something about this sauce and pasta and just melts in your mouth. Extras Parking is in the Centrum garage off Welborn Street; grab a ticket and the restaurant validates it. Whether it's a date night, a girls' night out, or a business dinner, this spot is perfect: intimate but not crowded, with a great little bar. Tried this restaurant out last night for a joint bday celebration! The food was delicious, but a little on the pricier side. Our server was super nice, and the staff were super attentive! My water was always topped off and never empty! The inside was lovely, I loved the decor and it was a super welcoming feeling as soon as you walk in. I got the mushroom ravioli which was one of their specials, I thought it was really good. The mushrooms added so much flavor to the ravioli and the truffle was the perfect amount. As soon as they brought the entree to the table the smell was amazing. (Keep in mind the plate of ravioli was $39) Overall I really enjoyed my visit, the staff also wrote a personal card for our birthdays which made us feel so special! Some bites were a little too crunchy, but nothing that ruined it. Arugula Salad (5/5): If you don't like arugula, keep scrolling. I do. And this one hit - grapes, almonds, and the balsamic was balanced. Big portion too. Pappardelle (3.5/5): It was fine. Honestly, I thought I ordered something else so I can't even be mad. I had the chance to meet who I believe is the owner, and she was incredibly kind and welcoming, which made the whole visit even more special.I ordered the octopus dish and it was absolutely delicious--perfectly cooked and full of flavor. I've been on a mission to try every restaurant Uptown as I'm new to the area. When I saw reviews for Enoteca, I absolutely had to visit! I made reservations for Saturday night at 8:45. We arrived at about 8:30 and were immediately greeted by two lovely hostess. About 5 mins later, we were lead to our two top near the window. The restaurant is a beautiful. Dimly with flowers and greenery throughout. It's almost whimsical and perfect for a romantic evening and just cozy dinner for a singles or your group. Shortly after we were seated, our waitress arrived who was also very friendly and personable. We were offered tap, distilled or sparkling water. We opted for sparkling, a glass of white wine (Terra Gauda O Rosal) and a Whiskey Sour. The Terra was refreshing and easy on the palette. And although the Whiskey Sour was not made with an egg white, it was well balanced and delicious. Now, the food was without a doubt the star of the show. We ordered a pepperoni pizza, sausage rigatoni, zucchini "fries" and Brussels sprouts. Everything was fresh, flavorful and perfectly portioned! Midway through the meal, the manager came by to make sure we were enjoying our meal; and we definitely were! And of course, we couldn't leave without trying dessert. We just left about an hour ago. Today being Valentine's Day made it so we werent able to do a walk-in due to not having a reservation and it being completely booked.. HOWEVER, the staff here decided to clear out the large table in the entrance lobby to sit us there. They did not have to do this, and it was only a sneak peak to how their service would be tonight. The whole time their customer service was 10/10. Polite, friendly, accommodating, knowledgeable, and quick. What more could you ask for. The food....oh my goodness. Not one thing was disappointing. I don't know if it was just the night that we went, but we had horrible service and probably will not come back. We were seated promptly, which seemed promising, but then the server came and his first question was if we wanted quick service or to take it slow. That was the most odd request that I've ever had by my server. Now I had to be somewhere, but didn't want to rush, so we told the server that we just wanted a normal speed. Next, the menu seemed very promising, so I asked the server about gin cocktails, and he said there were some, but we weren't given the special menu which had more, so he said he would be right back and went to go get it. After a significant amount of time, he went on to go serve other tables and bring out all of their food before coming back without any specials menu, but asked if we were ready to order. At this time, it had already been a wait that we just wanted to order, so we put the order in without seeing the specials. Later on, our food came, which was pretty good. The polenta with ragu was delicious and the Caesar salad has a great char on the lettuce that added a different flavor that I usually don't get with salad, which I loved. The problem came next when another table was seated next to us. Their server sat the guests down and proceeded to give them a lovely spiel on all the specials one by one with plenty of detail and there were so many items that she described that I wanted to try, like the squid ink pasta. Our server never told us any of this stuff and we ordered based off the options that we were presented. I was pretty annoyed about this, but I decided to just let it go because complaining would have caused further delay in our already long service. Our server apologized multiple times about the wait, but you can only apologize so much, especially when we saw other tables having such better service and we were singled out since we were just a party of two and not a priority to our server. From the ambiance to the cuisine everything about this place exceeded my expectations! I wasn't sure what the vibe was going to be like, but as soon as we sat the waiter made sure to take our cocktails order. The service was exceptional, they read out the off menu specials, and made sure we never ran out of bread! We came for a double date night with some friends and it was amazing. They had a holiday cocktail menu that a few of us indulged in, I will say that they are more on the pricey side at 18$ a drink, but perfect for the holiday photo op! I enjoyed their seafood squid ink linguine! It was so flavorful and definitely left me satisfied. Though this was certainly a 5 stars experience, I want to note that this special occasion was noted when I made the reservation, acknowledged by the hostesses, and then was not mentioned again for the remainder of the evening. To start with ambiance, the restaurant is one of the most romantic I have seen in Dallas! The lighting is perfect, and the space is beautiful. Service was great - they are intentional about not rushing you through the meal. This allowed us to enjoy each other's company and the food a lot more. I started with a spritz and it was one of the most amazing cocktails I have had! Super flavorful and did not taste watery, even after some of the ice melted. We ordered the whipped ricotta and it was just delicious. I have never seen ricotta whipped to be that smooth, and the honey was a great touch. For our mains, we ordered the cacio e pepe and the fettuccine alfredo. The cacio e pepe was a standout meal and possibly in my top 5 pastas I have ever had! I would love to go back and order that, it was so delicious and creamy without feeling too heavy. The fettuccine was also decent, but comparatively not as good. She seated us and immediately started suggesting drinks, from water to soft drinks, mocktails to cocktails, and I love when a server is confident in their picks. She recommended a drink i can't remember the name, but it turned out to be surprisingly good. I had my mind set on fettuccine, but when she mentioned off-menu items, everything sounded tempting. We ended up ordering fries, Brussels sprouts, and fried crab, for starters and all dishes were delicious. Honestly, I've never been to a place where everything was just so on point. Even the damn Sprite I ordered was refreshing, and the whole vibe of the restaurant was fantastic. The staff were super friendly, checking in on us to make sure everything was okay. I chose the chicken and shrimp fettuccine, and I requested the shrimp to have a bit of color, which the chef nailed perfectly. The chicken was incredibly tasty; I'm not exaggerating. I was genuinely blown away by the food, feeling like a kid in a candy store, just wiggling and smiling with joy. Today was a real exhausting at work, but you guys have no idea how much y'all brightened my day just from the customer service and of course the food lol. when the manager came out just to chat with us--she had such a great energy and vibe. I really appreciate family-owned restaurants; they bring a unique warmth to their businesses, and their staff is always top-notch. I'm convinced nothing can beat this place. Also, several of our guys ordered bourbon and they charged $1 per ice cube for their drinks! That is so beyond insane, are you kidding me?! No heads up, nothing in the fine print, just a line item on the bill. Speaking of the bill - they refused to split it. Not even in half. One bill for 14 people. Again, no heads up from the server, nothing at the table to indicate that a split bill would be an issue.
