I'm in the skin care business so I'm familiar with the results of Botox from clients that have had it done by other doctors and the results vary. Beyond his technical skills, Dr. Ali has great bedside manners and is genuinely the nicest guy. Recently, I switched to a new dentist, who discovered that both crowns had been improperly fitted. There were visible gaps around them, and one even had a hole. She was surprised that I had been seen regularly over the years and that these issues had never been identified. I was referred to a root canal specialist to determine whether the affected teeth could be saved. The specialist confirmed the poor quality of the crown work and was equally surprised that it had gone unnoticed for so long. Unfortunately, the damage had progressed to the point where the roots could no longer be salvaged. I now have to undergo the lengthy, invasive, and expensive process of getting dental implants. I understand that dental work doesn't always go as planned, but what is most disappointing is that these problems were apparently visible and should have been caught during routine visits before they reached this stage. Usually I come in every 6 months and I fill out a reminder card which is usually sent to me ahead of my next appointment. But the past few times I have not received a card in the mail so when my appointment is due I'm not able to plan for it. Edna usually does the scheduling and working with her has gotten progressively difficult. Usually she can put me on a waiting list and call a day before to confirm, but this time she said I had to call to confirm. This is fine but I questioned why she couldn't call as usual, and she just gave a non-answer ending with "whatever". I couldn't believe the disrespect! Edna has never apologized for the inconvenience (even in the past), knowing that it's usually very difficult to reschedule. Appointments can be weeks to months out (there is only one hygienist left). Anyway I'll miss having Dr. Chu as my dentist but I won't tolerate anymore the attitude Edna has displayed toward me the past few years. Good luck
