I went there for horrendous and agonizing ear pain, and was diagnosed with a bad ear/throat infection. i was in debilitating pain yet the doctor had no regard or empathy for my pain. they didn't try to relive it during my visit and told me to buy my own eustachi device (why wouldn't they have one there for these situations? they're an an ear specialist provider for crying out loud!). i asked for medication to relieve my pain and was told to go to the ER if i wanted. really? surely the ER wouldn't know more about relieving debilitating ear pain than an EAR SPECIALIST! this was a super unhelpful and patronizing suggestion. i feel that they were totally un-empathetic to let me wallow in acute pain and not help. read more

This place is a scam, and I will never come back again. I needed to take an allergy (skin) test and asked for a quote. They didn't provide one, saying the price could change based on my insurance. I went ahead with the test, assuming it wouldn't cost much. After researching online, I found the price for this type of test ranges from $60 to $300, depending on the number of allergens tested. The max is $300. A few weeks after the test, I received the bill. ENT and Allergy charged my insurance $1,050. Because they are in-network, they gave a discount of approximately $600. However, I still have to pay $400 out of pocket, which is above the maximum usual charge for this type of test based on the number of allergens tested. In summary, they overcharge the insurance, give you a "discount," but in the end, you still end up paying above the average price. After calling customer service, it's clear they don't care. Their excuse is always the same: the number of allergens tested. This makes no sense since the price of the test shouldn't exceed $300, even considering the maximum number of allergens tested. Months after this horrible/expensive experience, the office continually sends me emails, texts, and calls to pay my balance. This is despite paying off in full my (in my opinion) fraudulent balance. I called their billing department after numerous messages and they confirmed that the voicemail I received that day was in error and my balance due is ZERO. Despite this, the messages continue. Absolute terrible customer service. They "required" an allergy test that cost thousands of dollars out of pocket and then upon speaking to the insurance I find out that it wasn't required at all. I have no history of being allergic to anything so I questioned the requirement but was pressured into making an appointment and coming in. I attempted multiple times to negotiate the bill with the office but they refused to do so and sent the bill to collections. I just attempted to work with them again and a supervisor by the name of Esther provided some of the worst service imaginable and offered nothing in terms of working towards a resolution. This office will corner you into taking tests that aren't required and are exorbitantly expensive and then try to squeeze every last dollar they can out of you. Received confirmation a month ago from Genetech, their partner, that my patient consent form was approved for Xolair for my chronic Ucartaria. When I called the office to follow up about scheduling my first appointment, I was told they don't have my form. When I called genetech they told me they couldn't help. They overcharge for basic services. $600 to remove ear wax. This is what is wrong with the medical services in this country. When a corporate shop feels it is ok to bill your insurance this amount for less than two minutes of work (done with a tweezer a a flashlight - no expensive medical equipment mind you). And then the patient is stuck with the negotiated rate of just $180 to pay. It is truly getting ripped off. They are basically asking to get paid $5,400 an hour to get wax out of your ear. Billing fraud - I had seen doctor there for ear problem. They got me to do some extensive testing. Luckily it was clear. A year I went for office visit and their bill included some procedure that was never done. The bill didn't Go to my secondary insurance first, but my primary insurance paid part of it. Then I paid a portion and they send another bill which was higher than last! What a nightmare. I scheduled an appointment for my boyfriend at this location. I've been going to ENT & Allergy Associates for many years (although never at this location in Hoboken). The day of the appointment we received an email to complete online paperwork and clear instructions about the importance of being on time to the visit due to COVID19 and not having too many people in the waiting room at one time. I made sure to fill out all paperwork prior to the appointment and he arrived 5 minutes early. The two women at the front desk were extremely rude, demanding they had to physically see his insurance ID. **Hi, this is 2020 and most carriers don't even mail physical ID cards anymore...which was the case for us. We only had a digital copy which they refused. They asked that he emailed a photo of the card, except there was no service in the waiting room. They violated my HIPPA rights by telling my boyfriend and the rest of the waiting room that I had been to their offices before. After my boyfriend waited 40 minutes past his appointment time he left. Only to receive a call from the office manager a few minutes later begging him to come back. We will happily take our business, and digital ID cards elsewhere. read more

I have been coming here for 4-5 years for allergy shots. The good (why it's 2 stars, not 1): Allergy shots actually work (my allergies are significantly decreased) They have many allergy shot appointments so you can find a time that works. Doctor Mehta is knowledgeable and polite. The bad: My main issue is with aggressive and suspicious billing practices, which many other patients also wrote about. On my initial allergy test, I wasn't told that the lung capacity test was not included and would cost a couple hundred extra. This took months to resolve and was ridiculous. If I was told, I would have opted out. If it was mandatory, then they should have at least told me beforehand. This was a terrible experience as a new patient. They force me to see the Doctor once a year which costs me $200 each time for an unnecessary 10-minute appointment with Doctor Mehta. As a long-term patient, I have nothing new to discuss because I have been on recurring shots for over 3 years. I only want to see Doctor Mehta during my first ramp-up year, and at the very end when I am ready to complete my entire treatment. This policy has made me waste $600-800 over the course of my treatment. The "convenient" online system to book appointment is actually very inconvenient. Requires MANY fields and for a reschedule, you need to do it all twice - enter many fields to cancel, and then enter the same fields again to schedule. Other comments: Wait times are a common complaint in other reviews. If you arrive on time for your allergy shot appointment you usually need to wait between 10-30 minutes. I find it acceptable. Note- This is the wait time for seeing nurses for allergy shots - not for seeing doctors The front desk staff are not terribly rude. I've been here for years. They are fine. They're not trying hard to please but if you ask them for exactly what you want, they will respond quickly. read more

I held off writing this review, hoping I'd have a different experience, but alas I did not. Raj Tandon was a lovely doctor, however the office billing practices are not. So I had a small wart in my ear that I wanted removed. First, I went to my general doctor who referred me here. Second, I came to this doctor and was told it's a wart that needs to be removed (no big surprise). Third, I had to make another appointment to come it to have the 20 minutes procedure to have it removed. Forth, I came in to have it removed and was told they would have to test it and I need to come back for a follow up for the test results. Fifth, I came back and was told everything is fine. Fast forward and with insurance I end up with 4 bills totaling $900! That is an insane amount to charge for a 20 minute procedure to test a WART! I should have just cut it out myself! read more

Wish I had read the Yelp reviews before making an appointment here. My ear was ringing because of minor ear wax blockage, which I've had happen to me many times in the past. Was able to get a quick appointment here, which is why I booked it. Also, they are listed as in-network on my insurance. Wait time was fine, and Dr. Tandon removed the ear wax. However, even though I told him this has happened to me many times and the cause of the ringing was the ear wax, he had me take an unnecessary hearing test which I passed with flying colors. Not once did he mention the exorbitant cost of this test which wasn't covered by my insurance. Several weeks later, I am slapped with a $460 bill. Over $100 of which was literally for walking in the door - billed as "office visit" to my insurance. My husband had gone several months prior for a cleaning and received a $120 bill in the mail, I should've known then to avoid the place. Insane. Run the other direction. DO NO GO HERE. read more

Made an appointment with Dr. Mehta to get gulten allergy testing. Everything was okay unit i got slapped with a $2,025 bill. I was charged for over 40 different allergy tests, though i had no symptoms and i never requested for those tests. Made multiple calls to reach the office to figure out why they did these tests - no answer from them. Very unethical practice. The actual practice is great - I go whenever I have a sinus infection and got my surgery done by my ENT doctor from this place. The only problem is their billing. Corporate continues to try and tack on bills you've already paid - the entire billing team will agree you're either paying it off or have paid it off - and corporate doesn't seem to contact anyone who knows anything about your bills. If you get Gina Bradshaw, automatically ask for someone else to talk to. She will absolutely waste your time and try and steal your money by adding invoices you've already paid back onto your bill like a dumbass. She doesn't care to contact anyone else to confirm what you tell her or what you confirm with other billing reps will tell you. The saga continues. During my visit, I was told that I did NOT have a deviated septum, and that my septum in no way was a factor in the problems I was having. Furthermore, that the CAT scan my GP had me go in for was a waste, and pointless, because it was a static image and because of this, Dr. Glaser had not and did not look at it. You can imagine my shock when I was hit with a DGX of "deviated septum" and a corresponding (Conveniently) large fee. I called billing to explain to them my situation, and I was rudely told that my CAT scan said I had a deviated septum so that's what they were billing it as. SAY WHAT?!! The CAT scan Dr. Glaser DID NOT ORDER, TOLD ME WAS POINTLESS, AND THEN PROCEEDED TO TELL ME MY SEPTUM WAS PERFECTLY STRAIGHT?! The office was unwilling to listen to me, and I was pretty shocked. So either, I believe that Dr. Glaser is straight up INCOMPETENT and couldn't make a proper diagnosis from an endoscope, or that MAYBE the office runs some kind of scheme that includes billing for DGX that was NOT GIVEN AT TIME OF SERVICE. This is honestly just so disappointing. These people are supposed to be healthcare professionals, and now I will have to spend my valuable time hashing this out in the system. We will see what happens. I've read reviews below that echo some of the shady experiences that they have had here, so my lovely little yelpers, PLEASE STAY AWAY! (Your wallet and your nose will thank you). One last note -- the nose spray I was given did not work -- but I am afraid to go to another doctor just to be ripped off again. Bottom line don't waste your time. The office is poorly ran and communication is terrible. The doctor seemed OK but definitely not worth the hassle. I went into the office and my son was seen by Dr. Glazer I waited for almost two hours to have my two-year-old son seen. The doctor had no idea that I had been waiting that long until I mentioned it to him he pulled up my chart and didn't understand why the front office staff put two other patients ahead of me. I kept checking in and they kept saying your next your next as if it was going to be a couple of minutes. I had to make other arrangements to have my daughter picked up from school when I thought clearly leaving a three hour window for an appointment was enough time. I should've knew something was wrong when I walked in and someone was complaining about the office organization to the front desk. I thought the patient was just overreacting. The doctor gave me next steps and told me if I was not able to get in touch with another doctor to call him back to bed I can't get anyone to answer the phone. Unless there is a really an emergency and you don't find anyone to treat you, Please stay away from them!!! I eventually, after many phone calls, was able to get them to "check with the Doctor" and change my bill so that I ended up paying only about $150 instead of the original $250. And mind you, my insurance coverage is pretty good, and would have fully covered my bill had it been put through as an "office visit" and not "surgery & consult" as they billed it out. Dr Glaser was very professional, a good listener, explained everything regarding my condition & treatment, answered all questions.

I had a chronic cough that wouldn't go away so aside from my GP, and pulmonary doctor I decided to check with the ENT as well. No problem with scheduling or the wait. My problem was with the doctors. I saw Dr, glasen who could not bother to put on a smile, decided to look down my throats before which provided to instructions on what to expect before starting to spray numbing medicine into my nose. After which put the camera down, I gagged. Maybe he does this everyday it's like washing a potato but it's the first time I have a camera shoved down my throat and a little more understanding and care would've been nice. After that he referred me to a allergy specialist who had her assistant perform allergy test on me without meeting me first. After getting poked with a needle 20 times she spent 5 minutes with me to explain what her assistant explained to me already. In the end either doctor had anything meaningful to say. The Doctor was not the problem with my visit. Although he did not address the issues with my ear and i did end up going to another ENT to have it taken care of. My issue was with the staff, i had questions regarding my bill it was rather high and I just wanted justification and to be explained to me in a technical way WHY the things were done. The person I was speaking with was extremely rude and got frustrated with my million questions and just hung up on me. I will admit my questions were not normal and a bit technical since I am someone who does work in the medical field myself. Once again I have no issue with the doctor that I saw but people be very weary of this place and how they do business. Before they do ANYTHING for you there please ask questions of why its being done. I am a patient advocate for a huge medical facility and would never treat my patients they way I was treated. read more

This is my second visit at ENT, it is close by from work and where I live which I like, plus I got an appointment at the same day (after addressing that it was urgent), since both of my visits where emergency visits I was very thankfull for that! This office is a well oiled machine! Everything is electronic. You can fill out your forms online before the visit, they automatically take any prescriptions you're given on your "after care" plan and call them in to your pharmacy, etc. And the wait time was only about 15 minutes which is reasonable at a specialist's office. I was given an appointment, same day, for a 2nd opinion prior to going in or surgery. I saw Dr Tandon and I have to say...he was probably one of the most thorough physicians I've ever encountered. Needless to say, I trusted him and decided to go with his 2nd (conflicting) opinion despite walking in not thinking that I'd change my mind. So...why not 4 stars? Getting through to the office staff on the phone can take multiple tries due to disconnections or 15+ minute hold times. Otherwise, I'd highly, highly recommend Dr Tandon. read more

I went there in December 2015 and was very happy with the doctor and the facility. Till i realized that they have done some unnecessary treatment. My insurance is one of the high end ones, but still my responsibility was over $130 for general check up, when most of the other great locations in jersey city (newport) dont charge more than $53 as my insurance liability. And they had pushed nasal endoscopy on my little 2 year old, when i just went in to get a hospital referral. His key concern seemed to be around sleep problems and snoring.. seriously so much upsell.. Just didnt like it. Not at all child friendly.. All about making money read more
