Vanessa was extremely kind and helpful. She provided me with an excellent car. I was in and out of the location within 15 minutes. Most recently, I had the pleasure of dealing with Mr. Josh S, who went above and beyond to ensure that I had a vehicle despite the challenges I'm facing with the insurance company. Josh's dedication and commitment to providing a seamless experience for his customers were evident as he personally reached out to the insurance company to help resolve the issues. Actually minus 5 stars! Honesty! Transparency! Because of missing information in writing of the real and honest condition to the vehicle : renter, be aware: take a video of the condition of the vehicle 100% before signing any contract. Otherwise the renter may be accused of giving back a damaged vehicle due to an existing small condition or similar. Also check if the inside is clean at time of acceptance. Another push of selling the renter a "pre-paid tank of gasoline" ! Not everyone needs it. But they keep pushing. It sounds enticing to go with it, especially if the price of a gallon may be lower at time of rental, however everyone does not drive a lot, so you may be better off, if you fill up yourself the amount of gallons you have used. Remember the "pre-paid tank of gasoline" (wherever the status of gasoline the tank was) is a fixed cost paid in advance. This was one experience and the last one. We had several experiences with other Enterprises several years ago, and all of those had medioker or even bad results, one of those was a car with bad tires for a long trip. My car was in the shop so from the start, this wasn't a convenient situation but each time I called for anything, all they wanted to do was help. Pros: + pick up service! This is seriously great. I scheduled a pick up to get a rental and they were prompt and on time. Smooth ride over to the Enterprise. + Counter service was great. I had to get a rental due to the airbag recall from Takata. The manager handled it quickly and smoothly. Manager also told me about the rewards program that I can join for free (I do love free rewards programs!) + Rental car - Got a Nissan Versa 2017 and it was in great shape. It drives smoothly and without any issues. Cons: + I ended waiting for quite a bit due to the rental car needing to be cleaned and fueled up. I don't really mind the wait but the feedback is that the waiting area can be a little better and more comfortable. There is a row of 5-6 chairs in the corner of this really large lobby. With that much space, I would imagine you can make a more comfortable waiting space with nicer chairs and a table of magazines or something. I know there is coffee and such in the dealership next door but you have to go next door. But really, it was a smooth and easy transaction so I recommend this Enterprise. read more

Don't come here. They don't have a shuttle service, or any cars. I had a shuttle pick up appointment at 7:30am, waited for an hour before finally paying for my own Uber to this Enterprise location, and now, at almost 10am, they still don't have any available cars. There's several people in the waiting room without cars and missed pick up appointments who had friends/spouses/ Ubers as their "shuttle" service. Honestly, just walk wherever you need to go versus attempting to book a rental car here. read more

Although I live in a different city this will be my go to hands down... We had to switch into something smaller than what we reserved and although they were short on vehicles he made it possible and our trip to get out daughter started out great because of him!!! This location gave me a vehicle that was overdue for an oil change, close to 50k miles...I asked, before getting the vehicle, if this would be ok, as I drive close to a thousand miles in 2 week period, for my job. The sticker said 43k, car was around 48k, and the alert to have an oil change went off as soon as I got in the vehicle, which I brought up. They said "it's fine." Talked to a coworker of mine who used to be a manager years ago at enterprise and he said to call the store to make sure it was ok. They handed this car off quickly, even though I had made the reservation 2 weeks prior and the original car they were going to give me, had a dime sized crack in the windshield on the driver side. I took my coworkers advice to call, because I kept getting alerts for an oil change from the Jeep interface. I called the enterprise location to ensure it would be ok for me to continue to drive the vehicle, as I would be putting at least another thousand miles in the next 2 and a half weeks that I would have vehicle. The representative said no, and that I HAVE to come in to have it swapped out. I went yesterday, Saturday, to do just that, and thankfully, the manager of all of the branches in the area was there! He was extremely helpful, nice, and was able to help with giving me a comparable car and answer all of my questions. I lucked out that he was there, which is why I give this place a 3 star rating instead of a 1, but I'd go to a different location if you're able to, because the people that are regularly there are not reliable, in my opinion. About a 1-1.5: The only negative part of my Enterprise experience was when I returned it - the process took FOREVER; it was unfortunate that I was unable to work with Henry again, but instead, another associate; she seemed more disorganized and extremely distracted, and was more fixated in carrying on a conversation with another customer (that was already being helped by another (!)), rather than finishing up the paperwork for me (!) (how rude!). It seems as if the communication between the Koons and Enterprise isn't much, and updates aren't given to one another (at least that was sorted out when I was there, as I didn't budge one bit). Checking/the walk-through of the car was a semi-quick process, and it was rather annoying when the associate stated that there were extra dents (which was totally untrue, as those dents were all mentioned on the carbon copy that I brought with me; it is a good thing that I have hawk eyes, as I made sure that any/all knicks were noted and written down before the keys were handed over to me (I'd also taken pictures of those knicks that weren't the minimal dime-size to be written down); I had a gut feeling that some unjustified comments were going to be spewed out when I returned the car, which, of course, was the case - shady!). In addition, it was stated that it would take a few days for the hold on my CC to get cleared (they do not offer any receipt in regards to that) and a few minutes for a final update on their system. I was then directed to wait in the waiting area; after about 15 minutes or so, I saw that the rental car that I had just returned being handed over to another customer (!). It seemed as if the approximate stated 10-minute clearance/system update time was way past, so I went up to receive an update; the employee then had the nerve to tell me that she didn't mean to have me wait, but that I was actually done (!). I really believe that if it weren't all her prancing around and socializing and actually doing her job, the whole process could have been so much more efficient and so much more agreeable, just like my initial one about a week ago - what a 180! I rented from this location for the first time July 8, 2022 since they are the closest to my home. I reserved a midsize car and got a Toyota Corolla that was so scratched up it was ridiculous. I don't know why management would still keep the car in service. It had been keyed all over on both sides. Since I was only using the car for the day I didn't complain. I rent exclusively from Enterprise all throughout the country for personal and business use and I have never been given a car that was that raggedy. So I return the car and my Uber arrived so I asked the rep to email me my receipt. After about 2 hours when I had not received my receipt I called directly to the branch and was on hold for 10 minutes so I hung up. I called back 15 minutes before branch closed and was on hold for 15 minutes. It's like they just never answer the phone. So I'm still waiting to get my damn receipt. If I have to drive down there this week just to get a receipt it will not be pretty for them. read more

BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION, THEY WILL USE YOUR INSURANCE TO REPAIR THEIR CARS I was blamed for the exact same thing another customer commented on 1 month ago. I returned the rental car 2 days ago and was accused of the exact same thing: roof full of dents and was asked the same thing: did you drive through a hail storm? I am furious with this location. When I picked up the car and looked at it with their employer, I pointed out scratches and dents on the sides of the car, her response was: do not bother if its smaller than a quarter. Well guess what, all those dents on the roof are smaller than a quarter. I am very short- employer is even shorter- and we can't even see the roof. I had a feeling I should not have driven away with that crappy car but the employer made a comment like: oh you have no idea how picky some customers can be. I should have been a picky customer. I've been here twice now and each time my rental was complimentary thanks to my car shop (German Auto Group). The first time they accidentally charged me for the 2 days I had the car ($70+ contract price), but the mistake was easily rectified once I contacted my shop. The first 2 times picking up my loaner, there was hardly any other customers in the store. Now I'm here on a Saturday (at 11:40am) right before closing, on a holiday weekend, and it's packed in this joint. I didn't think about people returning cars after the holiday travels, had I, I would've just dropped the car off at my shop and had them return like the first time. They're always friendly and I don't have complaints. They're only open 9-12pm on Saturdays & closed on Sunday's. They provide rides from your home or the car shop as well. read more

I was rear ended at a stop light back in early December, and my Chevrolet was pretty badly beaten up. Luckily the guilty party and his insurance company assumed all liability. I was recommended Koons next door as the rental car business was in the same lot. I'll start with some of the cons: The lot is very crowded, as there are two businesses next to each other. But I'll be fair, this was after New Years, so they no doubt had a backlog of returns, therefore, I can't imagine that this is the norm. Also, the clerk that helped me did not inform me that USAA (the company covering the damages) only covered the daily rate for rental. I checked my accounts to see a bill of over $600 that I would have to pay out of pocket, even though I wasn't at fault for the wreck, and could not help the amount of time that my car was in the shop. This did not break the experience, it was only a hurdle that I had to fix. Now the pros: The staff, for the most part, have been extremely understanding, helpful, and professional. A gentlemen, whose name escapes me, was very personable in setting me up with the car. He was a new hire and very young. Ben did the final walk around and was very friendly and professional, even despite my somewhat frustrated attitude over the insurance charges, which he helped me with and reduced for me. He alone raised my review significantly. If I had to pay the bill, my review would have been much lower, but his understanding for my situation helped immensely. If his boss is reading this, he deserves a raise. The process was fairly fast, I did not wait long to be helped. They set me up with a 2016 Jeep Compass. The car was clean and in decent shape, I didn't mind the 4WD either. I wasn't a fan of the model but it was good to me, and I now know that I might invest in a nice Grand Cherokee in a few years. Overall, their service is smooth and straightforward. I got my car really fast. I called and extended and they did it really fast. They were all nice. The reason I gave 4 because I paid hefty price for 6 days. (Technically 5) but I do not know how they calculated it to 6 days (i think it's due to hours calculated). By far the best service I've had or seen at any car rental business, including all other Enterprise locations that I've used in the past! John Ray, the Branch Manager at this location was amazing. He's on the front line with his staff, who have also based on my oberservation, performed very well given some disturbances I've witnessed with overzealous clients. Great training from the leadership at this branch and I have yet to visit this location at non-peak hours, if this branch has any lol. About after my fourth visit to this location and have received nothing but outstanding service from Mr. John Ray. I felt the very least I could do is express my gratitude for his excellent service and commitment to making sure I was comfortable with my rental purchase time after time. John manages this place with a big smile on his face even when it's swamped and with that attitude, it was hard not to notice a contagious effect on the staff and even including myself. In my most recent interaction at this branch with him I had an insurance claim issue that took me by surprise that I could've handled myself. But John saw the frustration and volunteered to get a hold of my insurance company and sort things out on my behalf and assured it would be taken care of. 20+ mins later of back and forth between John and the agent... My issue was resolved. I'm not taking this time out to express my gratitude to just John . But to let you know that you need people like this in your company. People like John will keep my business at Enterprise for life. If he's not a notable value to your company yet. My car was in the shop so I needed some transportation for a few days. It was quick and easy to reserve online. The compact car pricing was very reasonable and the front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The whole experience was very efficient. Obviously, I hope I don't need to use them again but if I need another rental car, I'd pick this location/company again. Staff was very courteous but the agent that helped me talked way to much and asked intrusive personal questions in an attempt to be friendly. As he drove a van full of us from the repair shop to the rental agency, he wanted to know what happened to each of us. Incessant chatter! Kept asking me if I was okay because I chose not to share. I fought back the urge to tell him that I just wanted him to stop talking. My rental car was too small and the type a 19-year old would drive. I'm 60. I felt like a fool driving it and squeezing in and out of it. However, the only other choice of vehicle was a gigantic SUV. When I turned the car back in chatterbox greeted me at the door and was going to drive me back in the same small car. Fortunately, his manager saved me by redirecting him and having someone else take me back to the garage in a larger vehicle which I didn't have to drive. Disappointing experience. I rented a car here when my car was in the shop being fixed. The employees were helpful and kind during the rental process and it was efficient. However, months later I received an invoice for a parking ticket. Throughout the duration of my rental I had the car registered to park in the area and a physical parking permit was in the vehicle at the date/time listed on the invoice. I have reached out to Enterprise customer service, uploaded supporting documentation showing the parking permit, and spoken on the phone with customer service multiple times. They have yet to resolve the issue. Each person I speak with transfers me to someone else and nobody has been able to solve the problem. The documentation I uploaded clearly shows the car was registered to park in the location listed during the hours listed -- so a ticket (if one were issued) would be invalid. Customer service has NOT been helpful in resolving this issue. Warning to other customers that Enterprise will add charges and fees like this WITHOUT your permission and they will pay the ticket without your consent, thus blocking your ability to refute the ticket. Customer service needs to improve! The did a horrible job of helping me to resolve this issue - my credit car company is now also supporting me in disputing the claim given the supporting documentation I provided. If you rent a car from Enterprise, just know they will likely add fees and charges without warning and they will be extremely unhelpful in resolving those charges. I would likely not rent from Enterprise in the future to avoid the headache of the insane fees they added that are invalid. In looking on the internet this is true for MANY other customers -- months later receiving fees and charges without communication or clarity about the charges and process to dispute. Received extremely poor customer service and unprofessional manager attitude. I rented a car from this location as a loaner for my vehicle receiving service at the dealership. The rental experience was delayed because the "management trainee" Daniel couldn't find the reservation, despite having the RA#, and then when he tried to call the dealer, he called 911 instead. Yes, 911. So I had to stand there while he explained to the 911 operator that there was no emergency and was not under duress or in trouble. Ridiculous. Next, they gave me a dirty car, but I could live with that. What wasn't acceptable is that when I arrived home and went to leave again less than two hours later, the car wouldn't start. When I called this Enterprise location, Riley basically gave me a # to call (or said I could call my own roadside service since I had the car and not them). He offered no other assistance. I also later got to hear how some employees at that location had called off of work for the day (by name, how unprofessional). So I imagine if I post this on social media and name those employees that called out of work that day, they would be pleased to know their professional business was being told. He declined to bring me another vehicle so I could make my appointments. Luckily, I have an amazing dealership who jumped in to assist and had everything taken care of. I appreciate those guys so much! When I returned to pick up another vehicle, Riley, the mgr, tried to rent me a vehicle with no gas in it, telling me "the car doesn't have any gas, you'll have to put gas in it". I declined to take a rental that I then have to rush to a gas station to avoid running out of gas. He seemed annoyed, so he scribbled my name and car color/model on a contract and had me sign that. RIDICULOUS! Unfortunate experience and I will never rent from them again. My dealership and I give them so much business, yet they couldn't be bothered to show a bit of professionalism and appreciation for me as a customer or my dealership as a corporate customer. I informed their district office and was told the regional manager would call me. He never did. read more

I had an experience similar to the one written by Lisa L. My insurance offered Enterprise as a choice for me to use after I had an accident and I needed a car for a couple of days until I could pick up a new car. I rented from the office in Shirlington. They were very nice and did a thorough job inspecting the car in daylight with me. Several scratches I noted were not documented because they "were not the size of a quarter." There was no other notable damage. I noticed the inside of the car was kind of dirty (the seats), but overall, it was OK. I went to the car dealership to pick up my new car and they said they had a contract with Enterprise to pick up cars from them and there were employees there that I could turn over my rental keys to and not worry about going back to the original location, so I could drive home in my new car without hassle. Sounded great, right? That is where the nightmare started. The next day I got a call from this Alexandria Enterprise office saying they were having the car inspected by the body shop because there was "hail damage" on the roof. I was furious, as the car was fine when I handed over the keys and furthermore, THERE HAD BEEN NO HAIL!!!!!!!!! I was bounced back and forth from the Alexandria office to the Shirlington office--one saying I had to talk to the manager at the location I rented from (the manager checked the car out to me!) and then that office saying I had to talk to the one saying they were filing the damage claim. The manager at the Shirlington office did mention that "yeah, some employees have been getting in trouble for not noting roof damage enough, so some of the offices are practically over-reporting that to cover themselves." I went to this Alexandria office after work that day and asked to see the car. Walked out with a guy and he started pointing at all kinds of things on the car that were virtually impossible to see at almost any angle! There was no paint missing, there were no multiple deep dents. He said "maybe" there will not be a claim. Now, about 3 weeks later, I get an email from the "Damage Recovery Unit" of Enterprise with a bill for $562 saying either I can pay or my insurance can pay. There was some documentation attached. I looked at it and one was an estimate from the body shop noting damage to the roof, etc. and in the comments it said "Hail Damage. Poor Prior Repair. ARE YOU KIDDING ME????!!!!!!!!!!! Enterprise wants me to pay for "Poor Prior Repair." How can I be responsible for something that happened before? How can they charge a person for hail damage when there was no hail? I am telling everyone I know about this. I consider it fraudulent and I will discuss with my insurance company as well. read more

The worse experience... besides me getting a dirty car with cigarrete smell that not even a can of febrezze would do, the door to my car would not lock and open as I was driving not all the way cause the door signal came on... then they wanted to swtich me out of the car by a smaller car which I said no to since I was driving back to jersey for christmas and would need the extra space... then when I went to return the car stupid me I filled up the car when they gave it to me it was almost empty of course no reimburse for that then the ...... girl on the counter inspected the car like a hawk and I told her nicely I put all the garbage from the car on one side and she told me if we were sure we didnt want to take it... this was my second time renting from enterprise never again im better off with budget they have better customer service and always make you feel like your getting a deal! read more

I had made an reservation online for my rental car because my car was in the shop, so my process might have been different versus other people walking right in. There was recently a power outage just before I arrived and the systems were down so they couldn't issue rental cars but because of their great service and the way the staff handle it smoothly I will definitely keep them on my list if i need future rental needs. read more
