I made a reservation Memorial Day knowing that it was a 3 day weekend and I didn't want my car sitting at the repair shop over the holiday weekend... My reservation was mad on either Thursday or Friday before the three day weekend and told the person at the WB location that I needed to be picked up my from home... He said OK and I thought I would be picking my car up on Tuesday... Tuesday came and I call at 8:45 am to confirm my reservation and remind them that I need to be picked up.. The girl said they were a little busy and that I would be picked up at 10am.... 10:15, I'm calling the store to see if the guy left to come pick me up... I was on hold for over 30 minutes. No one answered so I drove to the location to find out that they did not pick people up and I told them that since I was there, to have the guy follow me home and get a ride back... He said they weren't allowed to drive the car when they rent the vehicle, that they would follow me home with the rental and bring me BACK again to do paperwork... I said no because I was there already and canceled the appointment.. The girl should have told me they didn't pick people up anymore and that no one was coming... First off they have poor customer service and MOSTLY they charge hidden fees that they don't explain to you when you get the vehicle! Got a car from them, when I went to return the car they charged me for insurance coverage in which I never agreed to! Then Patrick(employee) whos rude and obnoxious. He needs customer service training! He tried to lie and say they said that they told me about the insurance when he clearly didn't and was not transparent at all. I have been a customer with no issues until this year. In April 2023 was a horrendous experience toward the end. The car, which I finally was comfortable with, smelled like a big box of pencil shavings that became stronger when the air conditioning was on. Nick said he put a "bomb" that should remove the scent, but it didn't work. I called for another new vehicle and even asked if there was another vehicle in another location, to which I was told no. Interestingly enough, I had someone call to ask for a car, and Nick said vehicles were available, yet to me, there was none. When I called the local office to ask for the district manager's office number, Nick gave me the Enterprise Car rental number and told me to ask for a specific who was not even there. It was a mockery, and was very insulted. When I returned this month to rent a car, my reason to give the last occasion the benefit of the doubt. It was interesting to see that Nick was a manager. Nick, who made a mockery out of me, is a manager. My issue from April was just a joke, and he got a gentle slap on the wrist for that incident. When I picked my car up on Friday, August 25, around noon, the first car had four low tires, and I returned it. How can you send vehicles out without checking on them? I checked that the following car I received again had the warning for the starting system. When I did return it, they said it was "not a big deal." Rather than take a new vehicle, I decided to forgo it. If you do decide to call customer service, I wouldn't even attempt. I am still waiting for the manager's phone call from the first incident. I don't feel safe in the future, and it brought my opinion down to find another location. How can I trust this brand when they always mention that the customer comes first? read more

Poorly Managed and UNSAFE VEHICLES!!! I rented a car from this location through my auto shop at the beginning of July. After the first couple of days having the car, the breaks began to screech and grind. I brought the car back to the Enterprise and explained the problem and they gave me a new car within an hour. GREAT! Now again after a few days in the new car the breaks begin to screech and grind. I tried calling their office twice to get yet another replacement, but I was told that they currently did not have any cars available and would get back to me and never did. While driving today THE CAR LOST ALL BREAKS and nearly collided into a telephone pole. When I called to make my complaint I was asked what time I could bring the car back to trade it... what time can I drive their car with no breaks back to their office..... In short if you plan to rent a car from this enterprise make sure to take it to your mechanic to get a state inspection because I'm sure they didn't. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I rented a car from them for a couple of days while my car was being worked on at a shop around the block. First of all, the car was filthy. I had to wipe down the interior when I got home bc there was old food in the cup holders. A month after I rented the car, they charged my credit card $735. Keep in mind that my insurance covers a rental. I had to call Enterprise OVER TEN TIMES to get this resolved, each time getting the run around. They apparently had it documented that I had the car in my possession for several weeks - when I only had the car for less than a week. I was told several times that I had to speak to Andrew bc he was the only one who could process a refund. Andrew was supposed to call me back each time I called - he never did. I finally just got off the phone with them in which they agreed to refund me - but not the FULL amount they charged my credit card bc they STILL had the dates wrong that I rented the car - and it wasn't even Andrew who processed the refund, which means all along someone else could have done this over the WEEKS I have been dealing with this. I have never dealt this such incompetence over the phone. Your workers are rude, unhelpful, and even hung up on me the last time I called when I have been nothing but patient, calm, and kind each time I've called. I seriously felt like I was in the twilight zone dealing with this clown... Unprofessional customer service. I was not greeted upon arrival. I waited 45 min to depart because the car required detailing and refueling. My credit card was charged without the agent confirming the charges with me. Due to the delay, I was advised my return window would be extended and upon returning the car, I was charged for an additional hour. Enterprise did not honor my extension that the agent told me I would receive. It is not about the money, it is the principal of the situation. I did not have a pleasant experience and that was the least they could have done to leave me satisfied. I refueled the car with more gas than I departed with. They have lost a returning customer. I'm beginning to think they treated me like this because of the color of my skin. They don't care about retaining my business and didn't do anything to make me feel comfortable during the entire transaction. Terrible experience at the Lindenhurst Location! The customer service was -0! No manager on site to rectify the situation. I came in to get a rental car while my car was being repaired and the insurance company was covering the cost. However , there were no cars on site and the one the car that was available I was told was considered premium costing $5 more a day and enterprise would not accommodate me and offset the cost. I was treated like crap. When the rep finally dropped me back off back to my Vehicle because I refuse to take what they had he dropped me off and opened the trunk for me to get my heavy bags out alone and sat in the car and watch! So like so many other people - I always read reviews when contemplating going to an business I've never been . I was a little hesitant at first coming here because of a few negative reviews that were left but I needed a car right away . From start to finish - customer service was above and beyond , the amazing deal I received plus the unexpected " upgrade " on the car , the choice of using my debit card vs credit card ( Hertz does NOT allow this ) , the ease of extending my contract and genuine time and care taken in explaining the vehicle itself w all of it's new technology and safety features ( younger generations most likely would not need to be explained this but many senior citizens would find this is extremely helpful ). I highly recommend this establishment and will most definitely be returning in the future !!!! read more

Just received a bill for $127 of charges and add ons that I DID NOT agree to. My car was hit while parked outside out my home, the guy who hit my car, his insurance paid for my rental. I was told I would have a $200 hold until I returned the car, and that I owed nothing. Now I'm seeing this $127 charge on my card and a receipt emailed to me with these charges. I'm livid and now I have to wait until they open tomorrow to hopefully, not argue my money back. How do you f** up this bad??? read more

used Enterprise on Long Island several times, and liked them. However, I also use them when we go to Florida and I am VERY unhappy with the Orlando airport Enterprise. They told me that their "new" toll system is attached to the car and it will automatically record the tolls I used and I will pay when dropping the car. They NEVER told me about their "convenience charge" After dropping the car, they charged my credit card an additional $19.80 for a convenience charge. This means that in addition to your tolls, every toll you go through they charge you an additional money. Better to bring your own pass and pay for only the tolls. My tolls were $9.92 and the "convenience charge was $19.80. Boy talk about being taken for a ride... I was taken for a TOLL RIDE! customer service refused to credit me for the additional fees/ Don't use this company, they apologized for the miscommunication BUT would not refund money! This location is dishonest! I would highly recommend NOT using them. My daughter was in anhead on collision and needed a car for a few days. After going through that horrific experience, we were told that she needed to pay for additional insurance on the car since Geico wouldn't cover it. Well, that was a complete lie. We were covered and so it was just a way to get more money from us. Fast forward Geico contacted them, and they in turn contacted us and justified the theft of the additional funds by saying we agreed to what they said. Well, if someone tells you that you're not covered in the event of an accident you take the insurance. Way to go enterprise... take advantage of someone who almost lost their life in an accident! It's sad that I have to choose a star this place deserves no stars at all. My car was vandalized and enterprise rented to me at a rate of $17.90 a day. 24 days later I dropped the car off at the shop and they took it to enterprise. I get a phone call that the hood has a dent. Absolutely total lie because I would have seen it but that is not the reason because in any case it went through my insurance. 10 days later I get my credit card statement and they charged me $1152 instead of $432 which is the total for 24 days. Andrew the crook manager tried to explain that my insurance only covers the first $1000 then it's all me.... hold on u don't think it's important to tell that to a customer at the time of the agreement. My agreement says 20% a day. Not only they charged $1000 to my State Farm but they charging me $1152 what kind of craziness is that???? And u trying to explain this to a customer now???? Terrible experience with this location. My insurance company paid for a rental by Enterprise while my car was being worked on in a shop. They gave us a nice car and everything seemed OK. About a month after renting, we received a letter from their citation department stating we made a moving violation and they are charging us $80 plus $14 fee. I checked with my wife and we returned the car a day prior to this violation. Our contract with them was couple days longer than what it took to fix our car and they never changed the dates. Somebody apparently drove the car on the day after, I do not care who it was, but it wasn't us. Called Enterprise, they called service who confirmed the car was returned prior to violation. I thought, case closed. Well, I was totally wrong. I had to call and email citation department at least 4 or 5 times and Lindenhurst office 4 or 5 times. Lindenhurst is saying, you will get your money back, but it never happens. Now I'm calling their corporate customer service and it's not yet resolved. It's been 3 months. I estimate I talked to different people in Enterprise at least 20 times and can't get my money back. I was told at 4 different occasions that it's coming. If you rent with these guys, my advice is to make sure the contract is listed correctly and you should document exactly when you returned the car. Even better, go to somebody else. I will never rent from Enterprise again! I needed body work on my car and rented a car for 3 days. The Enterprise agent told me it would be $40 a day. After I turned in the car in I went online and saw that they charged me for 10 days, and the bill was over $500. I called them and they assured me that I would get a credit of $372. Well it has now been over a month and 4 phone calls later I still do not have the credit. I have now called my credit card company to dispute this charge. First let me start by saying that I have always used Enterprise for any car rentals. My daughter was involved in a car accident in April of 2018 and we rented a car through Enterprise located at 199 E. Montauk Highway, Lindenhurst. She was pulled over and issued two tickets, one for no registration and one for no insurance. Now as this was an Enterprise vehicle we immediately called Enterprise and we were told to drop off the tickets and they would take care of them. We did this and made the mistake of believing everything was in order. A company such as Enterprise should have the knowledge and capability to resolve this matter in a correct and timely fashion, or so we thought. They were in fact not taken care of and as a result my daughters license was suspended and her credit record tarnished. The end result was corrected not by Enterprise but through our own due diligence. We went to court and paid the fees to get her license back. My last few emails were completely ignored. It took eleven (11) months to straighten this out and to have these fees reimbursed, through no fault of our own. I had to bring it to the attention of the corporate office to even accomplish this. If I could give this place 0 stars I would, I have never dealt with such incompetence. I have rented several times from Enterprise when my husband was alive and the experience couldn't have been easier or nicer. In December I had a terrible car accident and my car was totaled. So on Dec. 20th I rented a car from the Lindenhurst location and they couldn't have been nicer. I purchased a car from Huntington Hyundai and I was told I could leave the rental there and Enterprise would pick it up from there. So on Dec. 27th I picked up my new car and left the rental. I had Hyundai call Enterprise to come pick up the car. On Friday Dec. 28h I get a call from my insurance company that a claim has been registered from Enterprise about damage to the car. I have to tell you that I was very upset as there was no damage when I left the car. I am told that the damage was to the fog lens. I said no way as I did not hit anything. I called Enterprise and was told that I was responsible. I feel that I was targeted as I am a senior citizen and went there without a man with me and I was easy pickings. I am getting all kinds of forms to fill out even after an asst mgr Billy assured me that since it is so minor as not to have been noted. To date I have rec'd 2 fedex deliveries w/forms to fill out w/regard to this damage after I was assured that this would be wiped out. When Enterprise called me for a review all my answers were negative and because of these forms my opinion has not changed because they are charging my insurance for this. i was very unsatisfied with the Lindenhurst NY location i was charged an additional fee with no details of any additional charges that were to cost me money when this rental was through a claim for an accident . i was told that everything was covered through my insurance and when i dropped off the rental they billed my card 505.95 $ that the credit card company sent me an email of the purchase ! i am still waiting on a credit of 395$ i noticed on several reviews that this is an on going thing having clients sign off with out going over any additional cost that will be charged at the end of the rental whether its a claim or luxury rental i am so unhappy that charges can be put on a credit card without going over any total coast. read more
