My reservation was mad on either Thursday or Friday before the three day weekend and told the person at the WB location that I needed to be picked up my from home... He said OK and I thought I would be picking my car up on Tuesday... Tuesday came and I call at 8:45 am to confirm my reservation and remind them that I need to be picked up.. The girl said they were a little busy and that I would be picked up at 10am.... 10:15, I'm calling the store to see if the guy left to come pick me up... I was on hold for over 30 minutes. No one answered so I drove to the location to find out that they did not pick people up and I told them that since I was there, to have the guy follow me home and get a ride back... He said they weren't allowed to drive the car when they rent the vehicle, that they would follow me home with the rental and bring me BACK again to do paperwork... I said no because I was there already and canceled the appointment.. The girl should have told me they didn't pick people up anymore and that no one was coming... Never again will I use this location.....I did everything I was supposed to do and they did not... 1 STAR....

They have 6 chairs and a wall outlet, but no public restrooms. If you are looking to rent a car and are getting driven here, heads up, parking is extremely limited, especially when they are busy. If you need a vehicle on the weekend, make sure to get here early. They are closed at 12pm on Saturday and closed Sundays.

Jerry Seinfeld has this GREAT routine about reserving a rental car... to the effect that if a…read moreperson RESERVES a car, the car should be there for them when they show up to get the car. Instead, the agent says they have no more cars, to which Jerry responds, "But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the reservation." . . . "You know how to TAKE the reservation. You just don't know how to HOLD the reservation." I love watching that episode every time, so that when it plays out for real, as it often does, I can just chuckle to myself internally thinking of Jerry's great comments instead of getting pissed off. ALL TOO TRUE. And guess what... it, once again, sort of played out for me at this Budget location upon my most recent visit to NY. They didn't have the Toyota Camry that I requested, but what was great for us is that, once again, we ended up getting a car upgrade as a result (thank goodness they had a car for us, and thank goodness it was a bigger car). It worked out for us. This is the 2nd time that's happened this way, too... at least, through Budget. Anyway, we had asked for a Toyota Camry, and we ended up with a Toyota Highlander... for just the 2 of us. Niiiiiiice. After the horrible JFK experience in June 2021, I vowed never to rent a car from anywhere at JFK, so we paid for transportation to get us to this location in Farmingdale and near where I thought we were staying... but ended up not staying in this area). It was seemingly in the middle of nowhere with very few cars on the lot, but they had this car waiting for us, and we were in and out of there in a flash. It was so easy, I was certain something was going to go wrong... but it didn't, and we even got a free car upgrade out of it, like I mentioned. We loved the car, we loved the ease in which it all took place, and I'd do it all over again... even if we aren't staying in the area.

Pick up and drop off was easy. Glad they had cars available since Hertz at FRG airport wouldn't…read morerent without a private flight. Reserved an economy car but they claimed I needed to pay $2/day extra for a compact even though it was the only car they had available. Then the nonsense began with a manual verification of my credit card since my drivers license is out of state. Agent read the number aloud to someone on the phone to confirm the billing address matched my license. Bizarre in this day and age. I refueled the amount of gas that I used but they claimed I was on the hook for prepaid gas. That was not discussed at the beginning of the rental. Fortunately they removed that charge. Overall I'd recommend sticking with ride shares like Uber and Lyft instead of renting from Enterprise.
